Summer is here, and we still have about two months of this gorgeous weather. If you've got a family, consider doing one of these five great activities!
2. TREASURE
HUNT!
Hunting for objects or landmarks
outdoors is a great way to get your
children exploring new areas. It also
sharpens their problem-solving and map-
reading skills while also allowing them to
get exercise. If you want to go of a high-
tech option, try geocaching!
3. BACKYARD
CAMPOUT
If you have a backyard, then you have a
perfect camping ground right outside your
door. Why not take advantage of that and
just set up a tent outdoors!
4. GO FOR A
WALK
It's currently recommended that you get
one hour of physical activity each day.
This summer, why not look up some local
trails and get everyone outside?
5. PLANT A
GARDEN
Cultivate that green thumb! Growing your
own produce will contribute to healthier,
fresher meals. Either plant in your
backyard, or find a community garden for
added interaction!
6. TAKE A
HIKE! (AT
NIGHT)
Hiking during the day is great enough. But
going at night exposes you to wildlife you
might otherwise see. Oh, and it's not as
hot either.
