• To know about a new tool: Empathy maps.
• To interact with peers from different places and with
different points of view.
• To achieve formulate problems in the right way.
Context
• “Minuto Frío” is a small business selling frozen
products. This is a small family company and opened
his first store in April 2013. The sales are in charge of
the owners themselves.
• They have rudiment process for management
business, specially for the documentation and record
of their sales.
“Sometimes we fail to record all sales, because
we have many clients simultaneously or because
we forget it”.
They feels that the new tools of
management documentation is
very important for improve
his processes.
They feel that need take a control in
their business.
They don't have great monetary and
technological resources available.
To have registration and sales control
allow you to know the top selling
products.
There should be a detail of
the income received by
the company.

They write all their sales in a notebook.
They archive all documents that support
their purchases.

“We want to organize and facilitate the
records in our business”.
“Reviewing handwritten records,
we waste a lot of time”.
“We had problems when we
recorded the daily income.
Sometimes we lose money, and others, we
have much more than the estimated money”.
“We do not have a record to make our
purchases from suppliers”.
Insights
• Given the size of the warehouse, the stock should be
optimized to improve the use of space.
• To have clear and updated records are key for a new business.
• The owners of "Minuto Frío” needs a best way to develop a
documentation process of their sales, because they do not
have a systematic, easy to use, reliable and effective
approach, whose current situation presents a major threat to
this new business.

Reflection
• Within the allocations made, it was possible to develop a
real solution to a problem that we have identified in a
company, and learned new tools and techniques, such as
the empathy map.
• The identification of different ideas and the development of
two prototypes have been able to generate two solutions
that are complementary and both can be implemented in
the reality.
