5. • Inside the park there are 1,471 plant species.
• In the lower elevations and valleys include
deciduous forests, beech, oak, ash, hazel.
• Above 1,500 meters there are the black pine.
• And, above 2,000 meters forests there are
only pasture and mountain bushes.

6. • In the Park live about 200 species of vertebrates and two thirds
are birds.
• In 1988 it was declared by the European Union (Special
Protection Area) by the presence of especial animals.
• In many major rivers and lakes there are trout and other native
species.
• Among the amphibian there are the common frog and the
Pyrenean newt is significant because of its rarity.
• And you can also find reptiles like poisonous snakes.
