 X, one of the earliest industrial groups which
made a mark in the engineering industry in
India, traces its origin from a land donation
by Balasaheb Pant Pratinidhi, the ruler of
the Aundh Sansthan, one of the many Indian
Princely States under the British rule in India
before independence, to Laxmanrao X to
establish the factory and the town, who often
said, "Economic preparedness is as vital as
military preparedness.” and always looked at
India as a part of the rest of the world and
struggled to make India globally competitive
- that was his spirit of patriotism.

 X trading in the stock market happens for about an hour on
Diwali day. Usually, this trading session is held in the evening. It
is a symbolic ritual which has been performed for years.
 Stock brokers' offices take on a distinctly ethnic look with neatly
designed rangolis and innumerable diyas lined up to welcome
Goddess Lakshmi. X trading is one of the many links the broking
community retains with its rich past. The practice has been
retained and observed for ages. Usually, the Sensex closes on a
higher note on the X trading day. Most traders buy on this day.
With this, the traders on Dalal Street welcome the New Year on a
positive note. The traditional X trading on the day of Diwali still
retains much significance for many traders. Many start the New
Year with traditional ceremonies and pujas.
 Stock brokers perform 'Chopra puja' at the exchange and the
customary X trading takes place, where the Sensex invariably
notches up a few points even in a bad market. GIMME X

 The word “X" is usually stated to be nonsense syllables
which were made in scat singing, and is supposed to have
been first attested in 1928. Some researchers speculate
that it was a term used by Charlie Christian, because it
sounded like something he hummed along with his
playing.Dizzy Gillespie tells that the audiences coined the
name after hearing him scat the then-nameless tunes to
his players and the press ultimately picked it up, using it
as an official term: "People, when they'd wanna ask for
those numbers and didn't know the name, would ask for
X."However, possibly the most plausible theory is that it
derives from the cry of "Arriba! Arriba!" used by Latin
American bandleaders of the period to encourage their
bands.

 The device has been invented by X,. Instead of being called an Y,
X refers to it as the Excessive Machine. It resembles a clamshell
that once grasping the passenger's entire body below the neck,
gently (at first) and pleasurably massages the passenger by
flexing its upper half with a wave-like motion from right to left.
The lid is made of long, rigid rod-like paddles that lie in a row,
side by side. The paddles themselves each have one end at the
bottom of the lid, near the joint of the Excessive Machine's
"clamshell", and the other end moves freely. Because the paddles
are not glued or welded together but instead move together, and
because the paddles pivot around the "clamshell" joint and move
parallel to the sagittal plane, they can have this wave-like
motion. It is operated from a keyboard resembling that used to
control a large organ. By properly manipulating the keys the
operator may induce great sexual pleasure in the victim,
sufficient to cause death by orgasm.

Museum of American Illustration, it has outsold Andy
Warhol's Campbell's Soup Cans and Da Vinci's Last
Supper.It is still in print.
 Parrish referred to Daybreak as his "great painting",
Painted using preparatory photographs, the models were
his regular models, Kitty Owen (granddaughter of William
Jennings Bryan), Parrish's daughter Jean, and Susan Lewin.
Only two figures appear in the completed painting, though
pencil studies indicate that the artist originally intended a
third near the righthand column.

during the late-70s, with many women adopting the
distinctive look, layering oversized, mannish blazers
over vests, billowy trousers or long skirts, and boots.
_____'s wardrobe also included a tie by Ralph Lauren.
The look was often referred to as the “X look". An
example of the influence this look has had on the
culture can be found in a 1970s Doonesbury comic
strip, where Garry Trudeau depicts radio
interviewer Mark Slackmeyer asking the fictional
Iranian revolutionary leader Dr. Ali Mahdavi if
the Ayatollah Khomeini would approve of “X look" for
Iranian women. Mahdavi's response: "If worn with a
veil, fine.“

 The film's plot was inspired by two real-life events. The first
involved W. Floyd Collins, who in 1925 was trapped inside
in Sand Cave, Kentucky following a landslide.
A Louisville newspaper, the Courier-Journal, jumped on the story
by dispatching reporter William Burke Miller to the scene. Miller's
enterprising coverage turned the tragic episode into a national
event and earned the writer a Pulitzer Prize. Collins's name is
cited in the film as an example of a cave-in victim who becomes
a media sensation.
 The second event took place in April 1949. Three-year-old Kathy
Fiscus of San Marino, California fell into an abandoned well and,
during a rescue operation that lasted several days, thousands of
people arrived to watch the action unfold. In both cases, the
victims died before they were rescued

with its extremely patriotic nature, was seen by many
as being favorable to the dictatorship of Getúlio
Vargas, which generated criticism towards Barroso

The Barroso family, however, strongly denies this,
pointing out that he also wrote an anti-fascist song,
"Salada Mista" (English: Mixed salad), recorded
by Carmen Miranda in October 1938. Vargas,
although not a fascist himself, was sympathetic to
such regimes

 A paperback by a journalist that reports on sexual paraphilia in
the USA, published in September, 1963, the cover title reads:
Here is an incredible book. It will shock and amaze you. But as a
documentary on the sexual corruption of our age, it is a must for
every thinking adult
 The author's general aim is to establish that a shift in attitude
toward sexuality is taking place in society that not only allows a
large cross-section of the American population to partake in
such non-standard sexual practices, but also allows them to
believe that what they are doing is perfectly healthy and normal.
A central passage in the book is a quote/paraphrase from a 1961
article in the French Esprit magazine, which calls this liberal
attitude toward sex the sexual revolution, and attributes it to the
general availability of contraceptives.

Neighbors. The website was an immediate success,
receiving mentions by Yahoo!, Netscape, and USA
Today within the first week of its launch; it attracted "600
- 1000 daily unique visitors" as a result.
 Duong teamed up with University of California,
Berkeley classmates Patrick Lee and Stephen Wang, his
former partners at the Berkeley, California-based web
design firm Design Reactor to pursue Xon a full-time
basis, officially launching on April 1, 2000. WHAT?

Some researchers speculate that it was a term used by Charlie Christian, because it sounded like something he hummed along with his playing.Dizzy Gillespie tells that the audiences coined the name after hearing him scat the then-nameless tunes to his players and the press ultimately picked it up, using it as an official term: "People, when they'd wanna ask for those numbers and didn't know the name, would ask for X."However, possibly the most plausible theory is that it derives from the cry of "Arriba! It resembles a clamshell that once grasping the passenger's entire body below the neck, gently (at first) and pleasurably massages the passenger by flexing its upper half with a wave-like motion from right to left. The lid is made of long, rigid rod-like paddles that lie in a row, side by side. The paddles themselves each have one end at the bottom of the lid, near the joint of the Excessive Machine's "clamshell", and the other end moves freely. Because the paddles are not glued or welded together but instead move together, and because the paddles pivot around the "clamshell" joint and move parallel to the sagittal plane, they can have this wave-like motion. It is operated from a keyboard resembling that used to control a large organ.
