Editing And Proofreading Process Analysis
Editing is what you begin doing as soon as you finish your first draft. The process writers use to
catch errors usal to their own writing. It's hard to edit or proofread a paper that you've just
finished writing. It's still too familiar, and you tend to skip over a lot of errors. Try creating a brief
outline of your paper to ensure the organization is reasonable. Review your paper to ensure that
your tone is appropriate for your audience and consistent throughout your paper. Determine areas
where you could add, delete, or move text to make your content more effective. If you try to
identify and revise too many things at once, you risk losing focus, and your proofreading will be
less effective. Editing and proofreading are two different stages

Writing and Process Essay
Process essays are essays that explain to the audience how to do something or how to complete a
task. This may involve explaining how to put items or ingredients together to make a finished
product, such as in a recipe. These essays can also explain how to accomplish a goal. For
example, a process essay could detail the steps that must be taken in order to graduate from a
particular college. Regardless of the subject, all process essays must clearly explain in detail how to
complete or perform a task. Instructions 1. Plan the essay. It is helpful to use an outline format in

The Importance Of Writing Process In Writing
After this semester I feel that I've not only developed into a better writer but also have grasped a
better understanding of the writing process, which is arguably most important; having a solid
foundation for my writing technique is the key to writing well. Throughout middle school and high
school, I have always been told to use the "five paragraph format" when writing essays, but now that
I'm in college, I understand that I have been limiting my creativity and not expressing my
opinions and ideas to their fullest extent. To be a good writer, I must put time and effort into my
topic and fully understand the main idea to write a satisfactory essay. So far, I feel as if I'm doing
alright. `When I first begin the writing process I always start by typing out the full story.
Personally, I can't sit down and plan what I'm going to write about; formal drafting makes me feel
as if I have writers' block. Over the years I have taken bits and pieces of advice about my writing and
incorporated those snippets of guidance and suggestions into what my writing style is today. I don't
think I'm a bad writer, but I could work on developing more of my essays into "A cakes."
In the narrative essay, I chose a topic that most of my peers could relate to and a topic that was
very important to me personally. Being a new driver is exciting, however, it also is potentially very
dangerous, and I really wanted to capture that in my writing. Your feedback stated that I needed to
use more vivid

In-Class Editing Process Analysis
The in–class editing workshop assigned for the second essay proved to be very beneficial, and
useful for me in my editing process and in assisting me in enhancing my essay. Initially I had this
preconceived notation that the workshop would be useless, and I would attain no benefit from
participating in it; as well the feedback I would receive would be poor and unhelpful. However, I
was presently surprised from the outcome of the workshop, and the feedback I was able to attain
through my participation. The workshop was extremely well organized and it was nice that there
was transparency in the expectation of the editing by the peer. These guided instructions helped in
my peers constructing extremely useful and helpful suggestions of improvement

Process Analysis: Anguage Arts
anguage Arts is the skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing. For myself, I find
that sometimes I am unsure on how to say a word in the correct way. Because of this, I feel
language arts is very important in my field of work. I need all of these skills because I want to
make sure that both patients and doctors understand me clearly. I don't want to be a cause for
misunderstanding in getting a word or words mixed up.
RE: Language Arts 7/31/2015 4:29:45 PM Erica,
One of my biggest problems is with wording itself. I always seem to get my words mixed up, and
I feel like because of that I cause confusion to others. Language arts is definitely important and I
know it will help me get better with my word choice and usage.

Process Analysis Essay for Writing Papers
Process Analysis Essay
When writing a paper it can be very difficult unless you break it up into sections. When I had to
write my first paper I felt like a man on a desert island all alone without a clue on how to do
anything. But with the help of a few teachers they taught me how to survive on the island of
writing papers. What the teachers taught me was that just like everything in life it needs to be
taken in steps. The steps they taught me still apply to the papers I write to this day. The first thing
you need when you write a paper is a strong foundation. Everything must start at the bottom and be
built up. This applies to everything. It all starts with an idea. So start your paper with an idea, write
them all down and...show more content...
This helps you organize and structure the paper. So you don't put roof on before the walls are up.
Now you are ready to start writing the paper. Make sure when you do start to be in a comfortable
environment. Don't go grab your laptop and sit–down in front of the TV. Go to your desk and put
some music on then write the paper. It will help your the quality of your paper trust me. Now that
you've started the construction of your paper make sure to use complete sentences and correct
your grammar. There's nothing worse than getting a B when you could've took then extra 5
minutes to look back though what you've just written. This will also help you with making the
paper flow well. Make sure you have a complete thesis with support. After you are done with the

mistakes they may have found. Repeat this process with a couple of friends or teachers and you
should be ready for the final draft. After you fix all the mistakes give it one last look over for

The Writing Process Analysis
The writing process is separated into five different stages, prewriting, drafting, editing, revising, and
publishing. When going throughout this process I feel that it is important to check your progress
quite frequently. After you complete each stage of the writing process it is always acceptable to
proofread and if need be, edit your work. There are certain questions you may ask yourself as you
undergo composing an essay, novel, or legal piece of work. For example, in the first stage of the
writing process, prewriting, you can ask yourself how and what you will be disputing. Also at this
point you can get opinions from various individuals about the topic of your essay. Stage two,
drafting, is where your thoughts begin to come together.

I found that shopping for an Unabridged Dictionary is similar to shopping for a new pair of shoes;
your selection must fit you perfectly. I thought the process would be fairly simple; however, it is
indeed a process that takes thought and patience. I was looking for a dictionary that not only had an
extensive and up–to–date Word Entry Section, but also one that would fit me as a Political Science
student and as an individual. After great contemplation, I purchased "Collins English Dictionary
Complete And Unabridged 9th Edition." The Front Matter (Cover to Word Entry Section) is what
initially brought my attention to this particular dictionary. The shades are blue and red that cover
page is drenched in reflects the cool but fiery personality I have. Also, because the dictionary
gives me the option of accessing it from my mobile phone. PC, or in print (advertised on the
cover), it's as if I am getting three dictionaries for the price of one. The Midsection (Word Entry
Section) is the part of the dictionary I focused my attention on the most; after all, that is the whole
purpose of purchasing the dictionary The entries are clear and well written. There are words,
including slang, from throughout the English speaking world. There are archaic words and text

The Back Matter contents is essential. Since I will be carrying this dictionary around all day, it is
important to me for the dictionary to include information I can use in other classes. The Back Matter
of other dictionaries included things such as multiplication tables, roman number translations, and
aids for other languages; nevertheless, none of these features interest me. This particular dictionary
includes an atlas which is essential for my history and international relation courses. My favorite
part is the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights which is always discussed in my Political

Writing Skills Process Analysis
Within English 219, we have already learned a vital set of writing skills, that will allow for the
improvement of essays, and summaries that must be written for future assessments. Some of these
skills that would be relevant for achieving general writing improvement could be ideas such as
thesis development, structuring and planning, or more specific examples when actually fleshing
out the essay such as elements of grammar and style. Thesis development which is crucial so that
ideas can be fully explained and related back to a point which can be interpreted as an overarching
theme for the entire paper, and allows the reader to interpret the topic of not only the essay but of
each paragraph. Taking a step back we looked in class at the subject...show more content...
Voice was the main stylistic element that we discussed in class, and it is the role of voice that
allows for the flow of the paper to remain constant and the reader to remain engaged within a
paper. Without proper voice, the paper can be confusing to the reader and creates issues of flow
while reading the article of work, even worse is the mixing of voices which causes mass
disorganization and causes a piece of work to be hard to interpret and comprehend. Within our
entire English class so far, even though it has only been a short few weeks, we have invested time
into learning crucial techniques to improve writing for academic purposes. Whether this writing be
that of planning out major writing assignments in advance with inkshedding and outlining, our
designing a thesis so that one's ideas can be properly developed within a paper. Another aspect we
have learned it how to properly convey style elements within a paper such as voice as to allow the
flow for the reader to be constant and avoid interruption. Together these ideas of planning, thesis
development, and elements of style allow for an essay to be powerful and consistent within the

Process Analysis Audience
Process of Analysis
First in my process, I selected I need to figure out my audience demographics. Our school has a
business school, a cosmetology school, a culinary school, and a medical school. With that said, I
believe my audience to be those who want to attend college. More specifically, male and female high
school seniors, non–working and working married and single men and women. These men and are
also do not have a lot of money and want to finish in a faster period of time than the norm. They
want to be able to graduate and get a job as soon as possible and waste no time.
Second in my process, I had to assess what I need to know about my audience, I learned that I
needed to know a bit more about the above males and females. For example,...show more content...
Because of our business and culinary programs my audience also consists of married and single
men and fathers, but there are definitely more women here at the college. Cindy, from her peer
feedback, helped me clarify that I do want potential students to be the main focus of my audience.
Cindy (2015) Second, I found that these men and women do use social media, mostly Facebook.
However, Latrice also suggests in her peer feedback that many like her do blog and live chat.
Latrice (2015) Third, I found during the analysis that if my college spent more money and time on
social media instead of the traditional methods they use, this would drastically change things for the

Rough Draft Process Analysis
When beginning to write an essay everyone has their own method of doing so. Some may like to
brainstorm while others may prefer to go straight into writing about their topic. I personally
beginning every essay by collecting ideas about my topic before coordinating them into a type of
diagram, next I proceed to do my rough draft before revising over the paper and finally composing
my final draft. The point of the writing process is to help break everything down so ideas can be
organized and everything can make perfect sense for not just the writer but also the reader.
Writing an essay can be difficult if a person does not know how or where to begin. I personally
believe the first step of writing is to list down ideas about the topic. After...show more content...
Proofreading and revising is a very crucial step in the writing process. If a person does not
proofread then the essay they worked on may not make sense and may overall confuse the reader.
Using correct punctuation shows how sentences are supposed to be read. Once I have made sure
all my sentences are grammatically correct I then compose my final copy of the essay. Writing
can be difficult if not done correctly. That is why there is a writing process to follow. Using some
type of way to group ideas together help coordinate how the essay will go. Then once the ideas are
put together the rough draft can be formed and edited. After everything has been writing accordantly
the essay can then be turned in. Some may think the writing process is just some more additional
steps to getting their essay done but overall it makes the writing experience easier and more

Writing A Process Analysis
When one is presented with the assignment of writing a process analysis paper, they might think
"hey, that's easy.." and post pone writing the paper as long as humanly possible, until they are a

Process Evaluation
A process evaluation is a tool utilized to identify the key components of intervention that are
effective and under what conditions. Additionally it also evaluates the extent to which a program is
being implemented as planned. A process evaluation can be broken down into six steps which are
depicted in the diagram below. In order to engage stake holders the process must begin at the
evaluation cycle. Stakeholders in regards to our program include those who are directly involved
with program operations. This includes the staff utilized to procure supplies and equipment, those
involved in the delivery of supplies equipment, those who distribute educational materials, those that

Credible evidence is very important in order to ensure stakeholder engagement and to strengthen the
evaluation finding and recommendations. Credible evidence regarding our program will be
gathered from key indicators. A key indicator is a specific, observable, and measurable component
that supports the goal or premise of the program. Our key indicators include survey data, service
utilization, observations of staff, interviewing the target population and solicitation of feedback.
Specific milestones regarding these indicators are delineated in the program goals and

Reading And Writing Process Analysis
The opening line of my first version of the assignment "I as a Writer" was "I do not excel in
writing..." and after revising and peer editing it becomes apparent. However, learning about
transitions and using interpretation helped me to write a final draft that I am pleased with.
Changing the order in which I gave the information was the first thing I changed from my rough
draft to the final. My first version had the evidence for my reading and writing skills first. Then the
connection between reading and writing was used as a conclusion. In the final I switched it by using
the information about the connection of reading and writing first, followed by the evidence, and
then the interpretation. This new way of organizing the evidence made much

Process Analysis Essay: The Writing Process
Throughout the writing process for my process analysis essay, I completed many steps. The first
thing I did was decide what process I wanted to write about. I chose cake pops because they are
my favorite dessert. After that I began to prewrite which includes the purpose, tone, audience, and
thesis statement. Following, I started planning. I wrote down all of the ingredients as well as the
procedure in chronological order. Creating an outline worked exceptionally well for me. It helped
me form a guide to know what I would be writing about versus just winging it. Writing out all of the
ingredients and instructions ahead of time acted as a checklist for me to make sure I would not miss
anything important within my essay. After I wrote my

The Writing Process Analysis
Summary:
This chapter does not only focus on types of assistive technologies that support writing but it also
goes into great depths in regards to many different aspects of writing that, on their own or together,
can be frustrating for students. The text outlines 3 different elements of writing and these are the
task environment, long–term memory and the writing process (prewriting, drafting, reviewing,
editing and publishing.)
The task environment is essentially the directions or assignment that is given to the student. If the
task is not presented in a way so that the students understand what is expected of them and what is
expected in the work, a student my find it so daunting that they feel it is impossible for them to
complete.
Long–term memory is key in writing as students are needed to recall things they have previously

Each stage requires different skills to be used in order to be successful. Students may thrive in one
stage but show great difficulty in others. Some problems that they may encounter include:
Prewriting: Students need begin the planning process of their work and this requires the ability to
organize their ideas in a logical manner.
Drafting: Students take what they have planned in the prewriting stage and begin to put them into
sentences and paragraph form. Not only does this stage depend on the prewriting stage but it is also
when students begin the physical process of writing. Students who have problems in the actual
handwriting may find this stage intimidating.
Reviewing: This stage essentially is where students read over their drafted work. they then are able
to decide if what they have is sufficient or if their needs to be changes made. This stage requires the
students to have a good grasp and understanding of the directions at hand for their assignment, task

My Pre-Writing Process Analysis
My usual method for writing an essay made it hard for me to start and actually continue into
writing it. I would first start out and open a word document; Then, I would try and figure out how
I was going to write the entire paper in my head, which made it really difficult sometimes. Starting
the essay was definitely my worst enemy because I didn't know what to start with or how to go
about most papers. My method has changed since this class. I always knew what an outline was but
now I have implemented it into my pre–writing. Before, I write I try to make an outline of all of the
topics that will go into the essay. After, the outline is finished, the biggest lesson I've learned to get
my paper started is to simply start typing. It doesn't matter...show more content...
It was also one of the most fun essays because I got to try to write a poem. I have never really
tried to write a poem but always admired them. It was challenging in the fact because I really
wanted my poem to rhyme. It took me thirty minutes to come up with about ten short lines for a
poem. It was a long time to think about the rhymes I was going to use but it was challenging and
fun for me. The easiest essay I wrote in this class was also very enjoyable. It was my essay about
the golf tournament I went to. I included sensory details into it and hoped to bring people's
attention to my writing through it. I enjoyed the essay a lot because it was a true story on a great
experience I had in a golf tournament. The activities that assisted me in preparing for each essay
were simply an outline. Although, I'm not sure if randomly typing to start an essay would qualify
for an activity, it helped me a lot. The outline was very helpful for me to understand how my essay
was going to be written. I can't remember what activities that were not helpful because I don't
remember using any other ones other than the

Practice Problems on Process Analysis: Solutions
1. On a typical weekday in January, 4,200 customers visit the Pittsburgh Wal–Mart. It is estimated
that, on average, there are 350 customers in the store. Assuming that the store is open 14 hours a day,
how much time does the average customer spend in the store? Solution:
– Since the average number of customers in the store is 350, I=350.
– 4,200 customers go through the system in a 14 hr. day. Thus, the throughput rate
(R) is 4200 customers/day or 4200/14 = 300 customers/hr.
– Applying Little's Law (I=R*T) the time an average customer spends in the store is: T=I/R = 350
/300 = 1.17 hours = 70 minutes

Assume that no car entering the line leaves without service. On average, how long does a car spend
in the drive–through line?
Solution:
– Average inventory I = 10 cars.
– Cars attempt to enter the drive through area at a rate of 2 cars/min. However 25% of cars leave
when they see a long queue. Thus, cars enter the drive through at a flow rate R = 75% * 2 cars/min
= 1.5 cars/min.
– Average flow time T = I / R = 10 / 1.5 min = 6.67 min.
7. Checking accounts at a local bank carry an average balance of $3,000. The bank turns over its
balance six times a year. On average, how many dollars flow through the bank each month?
Solution:
– Average inventory I = average balance = $3,000
– Inventory Turns = 6 per year.
– Average flow time T = 1 / turns = 1/6 year = 2 months.
– Throughput R = I / T = 3,000 / 2 = $1,500 /

My Writing Process Analysis
Writing tends to be one of the best forms of presenting and preserving information. However, "poor"
writing may not offer the desired message, is full of errors, offers irrelevant information or is
uninteresting to the audience. I have been striving to develop my writing through various activates
that entail freewriting and reading the "best" articles. Hence, my writing has significantly improved
because it adheres to most of the applicable principles and procedures.
At the initial stage, I could read through applicable resources to gain information. It is imperative to
peruse through relevant articles, books, videos and other materials to acquire vital information that
could be utilized during the writing. Since humans tend to be limited in...show more content...
From the commencement, I could write almost continuously to the end. Freewriting exercises that I
have been accomplishing could have promoted the nonstop writing process as Peter Elbow suggests
that "the most effective way I know to improve your writing is to do freewriting exercise regularly"
(1). Freewriting encourages constant writing because it discourages editing until the concerned topic
has been exhausted. Through the practice of uninterrupted writing, information is flowing freely.
Unfortunately, several errors can be made since the focus is primarily on writing, and not editing.
However, most often I would return to the brainstorming stage after drafting a document. Returning
to the brainstorming step is important because it offers a chance to modify and streamline the thesis.
After writing a draft, some new ideologies and data could be attained or dismissed. Further,
re–brainstorming may aid in attainment of more information and connections with the thesis. Hence,
it is vital to revisit the thesis through brainstorming

I have learned that it isn't as black and white as I once thought to write an essay. I was taught like
I am sure most every other student was that there are certain rule to writing and you have to
follow those rules no matter what. Not only were we told that but then we were grades and
criticized or it. We have learned by example that we are wrong if we go a little bit outside the box
when writing for a teacher. The articles I read today have made me feel a whole lot better about
myself and my writing because it gives me more of a range to explore my abilities. Writing is a
form of art to me and unfortunately it is hard to be told exactly what you have to write. Knowing
that there are possibilities out there of learning as well as being creative

Try creating a brief outline of your paper to ensure the organization is reasonable. Review your paper to ensure that your tone is appropriate for your audience and consistent throughout your paper. • 3. The Importance Of Writing Process In Writing After this semester I feel that I've not only developed into a better writer but also have grasped a better understanding of the writing process, which is arguably most important; having a solid foundation for my writing technique is the key to writing well. Throughout middle school and high school, I have always been told to use the "five paragraph format" when writing essays, but now that I'm in college, I understand that I have been limiting my creativity and not expressing my opinions and ideas to their fullest extent. To be a good writer, I must put time and effort into my topic and fully understand the main idea to write a satisfactory essay. So far, I feel as if I'm doing alright. `When I first begin the writing process I always start by typing out the full story. Personally, I can't sit down and plan what I'm going to write about; formal drafting makes me feel as if I have writers' block. Over the years I have taken bits and pieces of advice about my writing and incorporated those snippets of guidance and suggestions into what my writing style is today. I don't think I'm a bad writer, but I could work on developing more of my essays into "A cakes." In the narrative essay, I chose a topic that most of my peers could relate to and a topic that was very important to me personally. Being a new driver is exciting, however, it also is potentially very dangerous, and I really wanted to capture that in my writing. Your feedback stated that I needed to use more vivid Get more content on HelpWriting.net

In-Class Editing Process Analysis The in–class editing workshop assigned for the second essay proved to be very beneficial, and useful for me in my editing process and in assisting me in enhancing my essay. Initially I had this preconceived notation that the workshop would be useless, and I would attain no benefit from participating in it; as well the feedback I would receive would be poor and unhelpful. However, I was presently surprised from the outcome of the workshop, and the feedback I was able to attain through my participation. The workshop was extremely well organized and it was nice that there was transparency in the expectation of the editing by the peer. These guided instructions helped in my peers constructing extremely useful and helpful suggestions of improvement Get more content on HelpWriting.net

When I had to write my first paper I felt like a man on a desert island all alone without a clue on how to do anything. When going throughout this process I feel that it is important to check your progress quite frequently. After you complete each stage of the writing process it is always acceptable to proofread and if need be, edit your work. There are certain questions you may ask yourself as you undergo composing an essay, novel, or legal piece of work. • 8. Process Analysis Sample I found that shopping for an Unabridged Dictionary is similar to shopping for a new pair of shoes; your selection must fit you perfectly. I thought the process would be fairly simple; however, it is indeed a process that takes thought and patience. I was looking for a dictionary that not only had an extensive and up–to–date Word Entry Section, but also one that would fit me as a Political Science student and as an individual. After great contemplation, I purchased "Collins English Dictionary Complete And Unabridged 9th Edition." The Front Matter (Cover to Word Entry Section) is what initially brought my attention to this particular dictionary. The shades are blue and red that cover page is drenched in reflects the cool but fiery personality I have. Also, because the dictionary gives me the option of accessing it from my mobile phone. PC, or in print (advertised on the cover), it's as if I am getting three dictionaries for the price of one. The Midsection (Word Entry Section) is the part of the dictionary I focused my attention on the most; after all, that is the whole purpose of purchasing the dictionary The entries are clear and well written. Some may like to brainstorm while others may prefer to go straight into writing about their topic. I personally beginning every essay by collecting ideas about my topic before coordinating them into a type of diagram, next I proceed to do my rough draft before revising over the paper and finally composing my final draft. The point of the writing process is to help break everything down so ideas can be organized and everything can make perfect sense for not just the writer but also the reader. Using correct punctuation shows how sentences are supposed to be read. Once I have made sure all my sentences are grammatically correct I then compose my final copy of the essay. Writing can be difficult if not done correctly. That is why there is a writing process to follow. Using some type of way to group ideas together help coordinate how the essay will go. Reading And Writing Process Analysis The opening line of my first version of the assignment "I as a Writer" was "I do not excel in writing..." and after revising and peer editing it becomes apparent. However, learning about transitions and using interpretation helped me to write a final draft that I am pleased with. Changing the order in which I gave the information was the first thing I changed from my rough draft to the final. My first version had the evidence for my reading and writing skills first. I would first start out and open a word document; Then, I would try and figure out how I was going to write the entire paper in my head, which made it really difficult sometimes. Starting the essay was definitely my worst enemy because I didn't know what to start with or how to go about most papers. My method has changed since this class. I always knew what an outline was but now I have implemented it into my pre–writing. Before, I write I try to make an outline of all of the topics that will go into the essay. It was my essay about the golf tournament I went to. I included sensory details into it and hoped to bring people's attention to my writing through it. I enjoyed the essay a lot because it was a true story on a great experience I had in a golf tournament. The activities that assisted me in preparing for each essay were simply an outline. Although, I'm not sure if randomly typing to start an essay would qualify for an activity, it helped me a lot. The outline was very helpful for me to understand how my essay was going to be written. On a typical weekday in January, 4,200 customers visit the Pittsburgh Wal–Mart. It is estimated that, on average, there are 350 customers in the store. Assuming that the store is open 14 hours a day, how much time does the average customer spend in the store? Solution: – Since the average number of customers in the store is 350, I=350. – 4,200 customers go through the system in a 14 hr. day. Thus, the throughput rate (R) is 4200 customers/day or 4200/14 = 300 customers/hr. – Applying Little's Law (I=R*T) the time an average customer spends in the store is: T=I/R = 350 /300 = 1.17 hours = 70 minutes 2.
