Pedestrian Local Access Needs.
• Fully connected pedestrian network along the
City’s major roadways could help facilitate
pedestrian travel.
• Program for students to walk as a group with
parents/guardians (“walking school bus”)
• Extend/provide a trail or sidewalk for
pedestrians to easily access parks, such as
Quarry Park.

Employer Shuttle Observations.
Location: West Valley College “park-and-ride” for employer-based shuttles
Date: May 2017 during the AM peak period (7:00 AM to 9:00 AM)
• Two shuttles observed
• Approximately 30 minutes headways in peak commute hours
• Duration in pick-up location was roughly 30 minutes
• 75% drove to West Valley College and park throughout the campus
parking lot
• Remainder of commuters were:
• dropped-off
• ride a bicycle
• Approximately 15 residents were observed per shuttle.
