Gotipua Dance is an ancient dance form from Odisha that some consider a precursor to modern Odissi dance. It combines masculine and feminine elements with grace and strength. Gotipua originated centuries ago in the Puri Jagannath temple and is kept alive in the village of Raghurajpur. It involves groups of dancers, sometimes boys, enacting stories from the lives of Radha and Krishna through graceful movements and acrobatics.
