Broad work experience acquired in teaching English to: refugees, asylum seekers,
immigrants and students. I have a lot of experience travelling and dealing with people
from all walks of life, I have been in Buenos Aires for over a year, and I know the city

• Organizing events for the College.
• Dealing with queries from students in matters of welfare. Promoting awareness of
illnesses such as HIV, meningitis.

• As part of my course, I gained work experience by teaching foreign students. I
had to come up with lesson plans for a particular student (that was useful for their
goals) while being evaluated by the teacher. Afterwards, I wrote evaluations on
how the lessons went, to see if the goals had been achieved.
COORDINATOR FOR FAIR TRADE DIRECTORY Feb 03 - Jun 04
• I worked with a small group (two other people) We put together a directory of
Fair Trade products for our County. Each one of us did it from their town. We
went around shops & supermarkets, to encourage the owners to buy more Fair
Trade products.
• This project was chosen among others and it was funded by an organization that
supported community projects. We reported on the expenditures and the progress
of the project.
• There was a launch for the Directory to make it known in the Community.
EVS (EUROPEAN VOLUNTARY SERVICE) (In Germany) May 04 - Oct 04
• I worked with disabled German children in a Rudolf Steiner Commune alongside
organisers and other European volunteers, assisting them with their day-to-day
needs.
GDANSK HOSTEL (In Poland) Oct 04 – Dec 04
• Worked at the front desk, checking in and out the guests. Confirming/Taking
reservations.
• Greeted the guests showed them around the town. Organised bigger tours
• Mediated between the guest and the hostel, trying to please the guest and help
them as much as possible.
