STRENGTHS
Caring nature
Clear communicator, communicating appropriately and being
able to use verbal, written, electronic and non verbal
communication.
Eager to learn new things by asking colleagues and line
managers for feedback on my practice.
Take on advice with a positive approach from senior or more
experienced carers/ professionals
Driving service users to events/social events/appointments
Will gain better understanding during the course and be able use
my knowledge when at work with a clear understanding over the

Lack of knowledge as a first time working in this kind of job

Get emotional attachments and emotional knowing about their
background history especially with my work with the teenage

I'm quite motherly and this can take away service users

Lack of knowledge and skills when service users display
behaviour which is challenging

Due to Financial restraints i have to work long hours.
Child care issues sometimes my childcare provider or their dad
cannot accommodate me or one of the children is sick so im
unable to attend work.
Not being able to get to work for any reason.
Not being senior enough to administer medicines to service
users.

Started hnd healthcare practice at david game. My developments
i need to concentrate on are gaining the knowledge and skills
expected of me to be competent in what i do working with
service users.
Gaining knowledge and theories behind healthcare practice in
my course and on placement. Have been in my placement 2
months now and this role is all new to me as ive never done this
before
I want to be gaining more experience and knowledge in what i
do. Reading policies. Gaining confidence in my placement so i
can reflect in what i do
Studying, preparing for assignments and gaining training
through work in my residential setting. More reading in books
and folders on laws around healthcare
Ask questions at work and in class in regards to subjects to gain
better understanding. To read policies and understand to achieve
the skills i need in this field

To finish my first year at david game qualifying in my hnc
qualification and passing all my assignments. To of gained all
knowledge, skills, and experience needed to be a better support
worker in my placement.
Iam moving towards my goals , passing my assignments and
gaining a senior role in my work placement. Gaining theories
and promoting them in the workplace to achieve a positive
reflective role within my team at work and in my placement. My
first year is complete and passed
I want to be wiser and a good role model to my fellow students
and work colleagues proving i have the knowledge and expertise
after finishing my first year within college and within my
workplace
To ask questions to tutors, managers and professionals if im not
sure about certain policies or if i have questions regarding other
subjects. To study and read service users care plans regularly.
To obtain short courses certificates to gain knowledge and
further my development.
Short courses to help me achieve my overall plan. Reflect on my
role as a support worker and as a student. Think about my
achievements and how i want to achieve them in a sensible and
positive way.
