a) Preview the answers to the Listening Section and anticipate the topic.
b) Listen carefully to the first line of the conversation. It contains the main idea, subject or topic.
c) As you listen, draw conclusions: Who? What? When? Where?
d) As you listen, follow along with the answers in your textbook and try to determine the right answer.
e) Never leave answers blank.
IV. READING COMPREHENSION (General Strategies)
a) Skim the reading passage to determine the main idea and the overall organization of ideas in the passage.
b) Look ahead at the questions to determine what types of questions you must answer.
c) Find the section of the passage that deals with each question.
d) Read the part of the passage that contains the answer carefully.
e) Eliminate definitely wrong answers and choose the best one.
f) Never leave answers blank.
