I have chosen to do an advert for my final major project. The advert will be
advertising sportswear for Nike. As part of the advertising campaign I will
also create a magazine poster using either images from the days shooting
or high resolution screen shots or using a progressing image photograph
made from multiple images.

The main influence for my idea comes from the Nike advert “possibility’s,
just do it.”(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RboTJOfRCwI). The advert will start off focusing on one
character and focusing on their improvements the more Nike wear they put
on and following their progress through some different sports, such as
wearing running shoes then cut to another shot wearing Nike running shoes
and they are running faster. The main aim of the advert is to sell the
product through showing the athletes in the sportswear.

The target audience for this advert is both young and active males and
females. The advert will also advertise to snow sports enthusiast,
swimmers, runners and bmxers as this is how the product will be advertised
through the advert.

The target audience will want to see progress and inspiration in the advert
as they will mostly be the fitness type. As well as wanting to see the best
and new sportswear by Nike.

The advert will make the audience feel like they are connected to the
character in the advert and that they see themselves within the character
and the motivation of the character doing something will be there
motivation. This will make the audience feel good and will feel like they can
trust the Nike company and will buy there product.
What production
techniques will you
use to realise your
project?
For pre-production I will be looking into not only Nike adverts but other
sports adverts by adidas and company’s such as red bull to see how they
sell their product through advertisement. Going through there videos to
decided exactly how my video will look
I will then look into locations and setting to where to film my advert.
The advert will be filmed using a normal cannon camera as well as a GoPro.
I will be using premier pro and Adobe After Effects to bring the footage
together into the advert, Aswell as to add effects for fading in and out.
