OUTLOOK FOR TODAY: USD INR

We expect the rupee to trade on a neutral to negative note
against the dollar due to strength in dollar index, positive
economic data from USA and month end dollar demand by
OMCs and importers.
Technical Outlook: As seen on the intraday chart, USDINR
has breached the support at 61.84 and closed below it. It is
likely that the counter will move out of the upward moving
channel towards the downside and 61.61 will be act as an
immediate support beyond which USDINR. However if it
bounces back from the support level then it will head back
towards the 62 mark.

MARKET OVERVIEW
Rupee gained 0.31 percent against the dollar and closed at
61.8325 in futures. The spot rate is currently at 61.79.
FIIs sold securities worth Rs. 587.99 crores in the cash and
derivatives market of India on Tuesday.
Dollar index is currently trading marginally higher at 80.5610.
Total durable goods orders in USA, increased by a seasonally
adjusted 3.5% last month, easily surpassing expectations for a
2% gain. Orders for durable goods in October were revised to
a 0.7% decline from a previously reported drop of 1.6%.
Core durable goods orders of USA, excluding volatile
transportation items, climbed by a seasonally adjusted 1.2%
in November, above forecasts for a 0.6% increase. Core
durable goods orders in October were revised up to a 0.7%
gain from a previously reported rise of 0.4%.
New-home sales in USA hit a seasonally adjusted annual rate
of 464,000 last month, down only 2.1% from October's
upwardly revised annual rate of 474,000.
