administration of Module 2 through micro- demo
teaching;

It is about unleashing the knowledge and skills of
every learner.
This module includes an animated video
presentation about the different professions that will
help guide the learners in finding the career that fits
their knowledge and skills.

Title: Shooting Stars
Directions: Group the yourselves into five. Each
group will be provided with an envelope containing
paper strips of different skills of a particular
profession. Identify and paste five (5) skills under a
particular profession posted on the board. The first
group to finish the activity in the shortest possible
time will be proclaimed the winner. (Note: Teacher
may prepare a pack of candies for the prize)

As the group presents, the rest of the
other groups will guess what the
performing group is presenting. The
group with the highest correct answers
wins.

  • 2. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION At the end of the 60 minute Walkthrough, the participants are expected to: 1. Understand the content of module 2 for G11 learners; 2. Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the administration of Module 2 through micro- demo teaching; 3. Provide feedback on how to improve the strategies employed during the micro-demo teaching.   • 4. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION KEY UNDERSTANDING 4  The unleashing skills and knowledge of the learners will be guided accordingly and that participants will enable learners to provide sustainability in maintaining the level of interest of the learners akin to their desired choice of profession.
  • 5. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION KEY UNDERSTANDING 5  The empowerment of programs and activities in school and in a given situation where learners could have the opportunity to expose their skills and knowledge will be given priority.

  • 7. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION It is about unleashing the knowledge and skills of every learner. This module includes an animated video presentation about the different professions that will help guide the learners in finding the career that fits their knowledge and skills. Introduction 7
  • 8. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION A Guidance Counselor/ Teacher/ Career Advocate will be assigned to facilitate discussion about the video presentation. Introduction 8

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION Module 2 Objectives 11 At the end of this module, the learners are expected to: a. determine the knowledge and skills needed in the different professions and life choices; b. assess the knowledge and skills needed in the preferred profession; and c. value the importance of knowledge and skills required in the profession.
  • 13. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION Processing Questions 13 1. What does the video tell you? 2. Can you identify the different kinds of profession/job cited in the video? 3. What does it require for each profession/job to perform his/her work successfully?
  • 14. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION 14 Title: Shooting Stars Directions: Group the yourselves into five. Each group will be provided with an envelope containing paper strips of different skills of a particular profession. Identify and paste five (5) skills under a particular profession posted on the board. The first group to finish the activity in the shortest possible time will be proclaimed the winner. (Note: Teacher may prepare a pack of candies for the prize) MAIN ACTIVITY

  • 19. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION Data Skill – handle details, facts, numbers, records or files in a quick and accurate way
  • 21. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION Thing Skills – operate, maintain or build machinery, or regulate or process equipment; understand and work with physical, chemical or biological functions
  • 23. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION Idea Skills – solve abstract problems and express thoughts or feelings in a creative or ingenious way
  • 25. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION Title: Star Power Procedure: Group yourselves into five. Give each group a tableau topic secretly. As the group presents, the rest of the other groups will guess what the performing group is presenting. The group with the highest correct answers wins. APPLICATION
