The following are the classroom configuration requirements needed for a StorageCraft Training
room rental:
Instructor PC
Windows 7 or newer
Ideally, with dual video for connections to a projector and a monitor
simultaneously
20” or larger monitor
Connected to projector
Office 2013 (Instructor only)
Classroom Projector, Screen, and Whiteboard
Display capability for 16:9 PowerPoint presentation
Ceiling mounted
Freeze and Blank options
Large projection screen or non-glare whiteboard
Whiteboard available to the side of screen
Fresh low-odor whiteboard markers
12 Student PCs
Windows 7 or newer
20” or larger monitor
Comfortable roller chairs
Room on desk for open 8 ½ x 11 manual
VPN Connection setup and tested
Classroom Size and Layout
Room should comfortably accommodate 13 adults
AC and Heat controls in the room that can be controlled by instructor
Lighting control: turn off lights in front of projection screen and leave lights on over
student desks
Desktop layout should direct students toward the instructor and projector
Internet Access
20 Mbps or better
Minimal PC Requirements
Processor: 2 GHz 64-bit or faster with support for PAE, NX, and SSE2
RAM: 4 GB or more
Hard disk space: 20 GB or more
Graphics card: Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver

All classroom systems must be able to access the StorageCraft Corporate Lab Environment
using an SSL VPN connection. The following are the steps to setup and test the VPN connection
and also test the projector to ensure it can display widescreen presentations:
Install the SSL VPN client and test connection on the Instructor PC
1. Download the VPN Client, open a browser and enter this address:
https://sslvpn.storagecraft.com/sslvpn.html
2. Enter the username: traininguser
3. Enter the password provided via email or contact proservices@storagecraft.com.
4. Download the Mobile VPN with SSL client software for Windows.
5. Install the SSL VPN client accepting the default options.
6. Once installed, launch the SSL VPN client.
7. For the Server, enter: sslvpn.storagecraft.com
8. For the User name, enter: traininguser
9. Enter the password provided in the email.
10. Select Connect.
11. Verify the VPN is configured correctly, you should be able to ping address 10.8.1.1 or
10.8.1.213.
Run an Internet speed test
1. Verify that the SSL VPN is Connected.
2. From a web browser, go to www.speedtest.net.
3. Verify that the name of your ISP is displayed in the lower left corner of the test and not an
ISP located in Utah.
4. Select Begin Test.
5. Select Share This Result.
6. Select Copy.
7. Paste the URL in an email and send to proservices@storagecraft.com with a Subject: <Your
Training Center Name> Internet Speed Test Results
8. Disconnect from the VPN.
Test the Projector for 16:9 High Definition
1. Verify that Office 2013 is available on the Instructor PC. Note: Office is not needed on
student PCs.
2. The StorageCraft.pptx provided should display correctly in 16:9 high definition.
