1. Personal Narrative : My Favorite Childhood Memory
My Favorite Childhood Memory Have you ever wondered what it is like being home alone, all by
yourself and can't go anywhere? In my story I am about to tell you there is a moral/lesson that I
had learned throughout this experience. It was when i was about 7 years old during this time, and
this was a long time ago at my old house which is by the lake in Cedar Lake. The lesson that i learn
in this experience is that you should never keep doing something you know you should not do, or
else you will be consequences. First of all, when i was only about 7 years old at my house house,
by a lake, I was known for being a troublemaker.During this time, I always did mostly anything that
got me in trouble, so one day it all started n June 5th, 2001, on this day was my first day of
running away from home.My parents were apparently worried sick wondering where I was, and
this is when i thought that this was funny, by running away. So, a few hours or so went on and my
parents were still looking for me,right then, I heard sirens coming from down the road where my
secret hide–out was where no one else knew where it was, only me.Anyway, they were getting
closer and closer to me, I didn't know what to do so I ran outta my hide–out straight back home
where my parents were waiting.I got in trouble that time and then I thought, I wonder how it would
be like to run away again? Soon after that day, the next day after the next I ran away day after day
thinking it was funnier each time, but the I got

2. My Favorite Memories
Some of the most vivid memories from my childhood were born and raised in a military housing
neighborhood located off the base in Warminster, Pennsylvania. My favorite memory however,
was the time my brother and I met one of our childhood best friends. I still remember it as if it
happened yesterday, no matter how much dust it collects in the back of my head, I can always
blow it off and replay it in my mind as if it was the first time seeing it through my eyes. One humid
summer day my older brother and I were outside in the backyard. I want to say I was 6 and my
brother was 8, but we were probably younger. The small fenced in space was just on the edge of
the forest which allowed the ground to be covered in dead pine needles that the trees would cast
to the wind. We were bored as ever, discontent with the neglected pair of swings and lonely slide
that had been untouched for most of the summer. They called to us, but our boredom, unable to
be satisfied by such a simple fix, declined their invitation. We sat in a pair of lawn chairs that were
set up against the white fence dividing our yard from the neighbors'. That's when I heard the
sound of springs on a trampoline only a few backyards down. It was a girl. The first thing I
thought: cooties. She looked to be my brother's age, and she was. With that being said, we decided
to mess with this poor girl by calling out to her, only to quickly duck down behind the safety of our
fence. We were hooligans. This was probably not

3. My Childhood Memory
When I think of the most important memory that I have from my childhood, my mind goes
directly to my childhood house to one specific day, the day I got my puppy! I was in my kitchen on
a calm day. My sister pulled up into the very cracked black top that was in our driveway. I heard
the car door slam close, then the sound of the squeaky kitchen door being opened. Eventually, I
heard my name being yelled out by not only one person, but also my niece and nephew. As I ran
down the creaky and very loud stairs I could feel that something special was going to happen. As I
turned the corner my eyes went directly to one small fluff that was on the table. My sister had
previously mentioned that she wanted a puppy and I even went to a run–down pet shop in a very
sketchy town with her. But the dog that we were on a hunt for was not at all like the one that was
on my kitchen table at that moment. I began approaching the counter, but trying to calm myself
down. Previously I had owned a giant spotted pitbull named Yeyo and so I wasn't that familiar with
tiny dogs. I was beginning to picture the amazing days I could have with this dog before even
laying a finger on her soft fluffy hair. My sister must've surely seen the amazement in my eyes
because before even saying anything to her, she began talking. Her words were a blur to me
because I was so focused on the huge deep brown eyes that were sitting on the slippery white worn
down counter in front of me. The dog was not meant to be mine

4. My Favorite Memories As A Kid
Childhood memory
One of my favorite memories as a kid was the time me my sister and the twin neighbors decided
that today was a good day to swim. It was probably late april or early may, the pool had been
sitting out since last summer and the water had turned green. I of course had to go test out the
water, as I was taking my shoes and socks off I went to take a closer look at the water when
suddenly my younger sister jumped straight in. She got up and started to cry because the water was
full of leaves and other gross things, so me and the twins jumped into the nasty, slimy, green water
and had to much fun to be disgusted. Even though everyday of my childhood wasn 't like that day, it
's been full of learning moments and entertaining moments, good times and not as good times that
have helped me figure out how to handle life today.
Thesis statement
The purpose of my oratory is to share the importance of making the most of your childhood.
I think that childhood should be embraced and treasured because it only lasts so long.
Attention step
So many kids are getting left behind or ignored, and it 's not necessarily by other kids. By the
time some kids grow up they have terrible memories from childhood, and in today 's society some
could see suicide as an easier way out. Childhood is a physical and mental growing period and
should be both fun and educational so that they can grow up into intelligent adults Suicide is the 3rd
leading cause of death for 15–24 year olds, and even

When I was a young child I would love to hear my parents tell me that we were going on a trip. I
would be full of excitement, because I knew that we would be going to a place that I had never
seen before. My parents, my brother, and I would pack our luggage and venture out in our small
gray minivan. Three of my most cherished memories in our minivan are when we went to Disney
World, the beach, and the mountains.
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip
down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening
and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep

Going to the beach was nothing like going to the lake or swimming pool. The ocean had large
waves that would come crashing into the beach. I was so small that the waves would just throw
me around. I also got to walk down the beach and find different objects that the waves had washed
up on shore. I found seashells that had brilliant colors like the rainbow. I even found a creature
that looked like pink jelly. I picked the creature up with a stick and took it to show my dad. My
dad told me that it was a jellyfish that could sting me, so he made me bury it in the sand. I saw
another creature that was gliding in shallow water. It was dark brown with a long tail and looked
like it had wings. It was a horrible looking creature that I had never seen before. My dad came
down to the water to see what I was looking at. He told me that they were called skates, and they
would not hurt me. That was the first time I saw something living in the ocean besides a fish. My
dad then showed me that there were little creatures called, sand fiddlers, which would wash up
when the waves crashed into the shore. We sat down on the sand so he could show me how to
catch them. The sand fiddlers would dig down in the sand fast as lightning, so we had to dig for
them fast as we could. When I caught one it felt like it was trying to dig into your hand with what
seemed like a million legs. After about four hours I was exhausted and starving. I

6. My Memories Of My Childhood Memories Essay
My earliest childhood memory is of the first time I met my mother in person when I was four. A
beautiful woman whose personality seemed to glow from her. I had seen a picture of her before
then I was told by Mummy Dada, my aunt, so I knew her on sight. The woman I saw walk in the
room as I watched from my grandfather's lap seemed effervescent. She floated from person to person
at the family reunion like an angel. My mother is one of thirteen children my grandpa has. My
brother cousin wanted to play tag but my grandfather wanted me to stay put. Let me clarify, the
term "brother cousin" is to describe my cousin that I had thought was my brother because we
were raised as brother and sister. I was conflicted as to what I should do but eventually I choose to
stay put for a little while. Within a few minutes I couldn't help myself, I hopped off grandpa's lap
and went to play tag. It was my favorite game to play, I just knew it was. When it was my turn to
give chase I ran around in an unladylike manner trying to catch one of my brother cousins. They
were always too fast and out of reach. I didn't even attempt to catch any of my older cousins
because I thought that they would be too fast for me to catch. Besides, I was only used to playing
with the boys. I ran so fast in my shiny white patent leather shoes that I missed catching my twin
brother cousin, Jerry. The term "twin brother cousin" refers to the "brother cousin" who had the same
birthday as I did. The smooth bottoms of my

7. My Childhood Memories
My childhood memories reflect both good and bad times, but every moment makes my life
precious. However, a sad memory always resonates within my heart stronger. This is such
because a good memory makes me feel positive, yet a bad one has the power to help me grow up
and understand what is important in my life. It is about a difficult time with my dad, which
helped me grow and mature. The moment was meaningful that I would never trade it for the
world. The moment took place nine years ago when I was still a little kid. At that time, my father
and I had a lot of arguments. We did not match to each other because our personalities and habits
were too distinguished, but my father did not care about it. I thought it was only my personal
feeling. I heard him saying that I was only a kid; thus, my opinion did not matter. He would wait
for me to grow up and pay attention to me later. Thus, he had never listened to me even a word. As
a result, I ignored him when he reminded me to do something. Naturally, I was a stubborn girl, and
it always took me a long time to realize my own mistakes. I once was punished for being stubborn.
The cost was too much that it hurt me enormously. This is also the first time my father and I
traveled to America to visit my sister, who was an international student. Suddenly, my father lost
consciousness but no one knew the reason why, and then he disappeared for a few days. My sister
told me that he went to another city to visit his friend. I felt something

My Favorite Child Memory Why must all good things come to an end? When I was younger, my
parents had split, and I currently lived with my mother. I was around three or four at the time,
and my mother and I had been walking around the neighborhood, and we had stopped by a
woman's house, which was five or six houses away. The woman was my mother's friend more
than my own, but a great companion nonetheless. The woman's daughter was out in the driveway,
and waved me over to come play tag in that little tan paved driveway. If I recall correctly, she was
wearing a nice pink and white plaid dress, with a small white shirt underneath, showing the most
around the shoulders where the dress' spaghetti straps lay atop of. "Tag, you're it!" She giggled, and
tapped me softly on the shoulder, and I followed, a big grin on my lips as I laughed along with her,
the two pigtails her brown hair was tied up loosely by little pink bows near her ears were wriggling
like her, out of my grasp. The two women sat in lawn chairs to talk, the pieces of thick fabric laying
across each other to form a seat and a backrest, in the color blue and orange, with little, white
plastic fold up legs. The girl and I both chased each other around for what seemed like hours,
which was probably only a fifteen or so minutes. Our patter of footsteps filling the air, sneakers and
flip flops as they touched the ground only to leap away again, then to continue to cycle. Laughter
filled the air, ours and our parents,

One of my favorite places from my memory is my aunt's store. My cousins and I would go the
store regularly, also, there was a pool hall right next the store: I scavenged everywhere for kids
and adults that dropped tala's(samoan currency) to buy snacks at the store. The store had some of
the best snacks that I still would eat to this day: it had homemade, banana, taro, and potato chips.
The store consisted of different candies and chocolates; I felt like I was Charley in the chocolate
factory. I used to watch how they made the chips; they fried and seasoned the chips and I would
always get the first bag to eat. Inside the store was a refrigerator full of different drinks with all
flavors; coconut, kiwi, watermelon, and etc. My favorite drink to have with my snack was a
strawberry fanta, because I could exchange the glass bottle for a fanta watch. In Samoa a regular
norm was 90 to 95 degrees outside, so an ice cold refreshment with some chips was a go to choice
almost every time. Although my aunt owned the store, we were in big trouble from taking stuff
from the store. We pulled our trampoline into the farther away from the house, and we hid there
and ate our stolen snacks from the store. My Aunt's house was one of my favorite childhood
memories as kid because I spent almost everyday at her house. Another childhood memory place I
loved was my 3rd house on Allen Rd. This house brings so many memories of my childhood. The

One of the earliest memories I have of me reading, is when I was six years old. My grandmother
would watch me in the summer when both of my parents were at work. She compared going to
the library as a treat for us to do together. I remember being in that same library for hours at a time,
you could call us frequent flyers. She would always start at one end of the library and just slowly
snake the aisles. She would let me wonder by myself in the kiddy section to find any book I
wanted. I was always so excited to go to the library, but looking back on it, I think I was just
excited to go hang out in the play area. I don't know the specific point in time where I decided I
didn't like going to the library anymore. I just knew when my mom would drop me off I would
dread thinking if my grandmother was going to take me back today. She would keep up with the
books I kept and would make sure I returned them or got an extension. Sometimes I wonder if I
was a bother to her. We really never did anything together other than that. I would always bring
some toys and coloring books to entertain myself. She was always relaxed in my grandpa's huge
recliner, watching Dr. Phil in such an intense way I felt like he was preaching to her. My only
concern was to make sure I wasn't too loud. I will never forget her forcing me to read what felt like
an eternity every day I was there. I felt trapped into doing something that I didn't want to do

Connecticut, Oregon, Canada, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island, Haiti, Florida, Arizona, New
Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Kansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, and Michigan. I have had many
childhood memories, but my favorite is probably a vacation whenever I went on the longest road
in the U.S. It goes from Chicago to Los Angeles. The road is called Route 66. We drove on most
of it but near the end we headed toward California and went camping in Sequoia National Park.
We camped with some friends and even saw a bear trying to eat some of our food. I always have a

14. My Memories A Favorite Memory
An individual's childhood memory has impacted them in some way whether it be emotionally or
physically. From one memory to another, good or bad, develops the entity of a person's personality
or logic. I considered one of my worst memories a favorite memory because, from that experience, I
gained development as an individual. The start of that development occurred on vacation without my
parents attending. Like any other child, I became very enthusiastic of the whole idea of freedom and
self–guidance. After the majority of the trip, I became uninterested with self–guidance and I wanted
to rely on the adults to plan fun–filled activities. I was very disappointed with the fact that their lack
of authority and action lead to an uneventful vacation. I began to miss my parents' guidance
because with every request or action they took it was in all the best interest of me. Whether it was
to hold my hand across the road or watch the things I eat, all of it was intended for my growth and
safety. It was then that I realized how much my parents really cared for me and it made me grow to
respect their wishes even more. Concisely what began as a getaway from my parents resulted in a
realization of how much I should appreciate and respect them.

relieved to see them already packing the car up with the cooler. My mom bought all my favorite
juices and made our favorite sandwiches for lunch. My favorite was Peanut Butter and Jelly. Me
and my sister then jumped in the back seat and were on our way. The car ride felt like forever. We
annoyed our parents with repetitious questions about what the park was like and how much
longer the ride would be. I twas ironic because we spent so much time discussing what we were
going to do and how much fun it was going to be, we never once played with the books and games
we packed.
I remember the main gate to the park looked like golden doors to an enchanted castle. It was
beautiful. We rushed and bought our tickets so we could get started on all the awesome rides they
offered. The first thing we saw was a huge roller coaster with a big loop. Then it all continued with
bumper cars, ferris wheels, train rides, go–karts, and all the games you can think of. Me and my
sister played every game they had there. Of course we didn't win any. My father also played games.

forgetting to look at the clock before I unlatch the door and I tiptoe down the hall to Harrison's

Why did Christmas morning feel to move so slow? I knew my parents wouldn't be up this early, so
I told Harrison we should go back to bed, but I realize I just couldn't fall asleep with so much
anticipation. What did Santa bring this year? I toss and turned, and thought that it must have been

door, and put on some socks to protect my feet from the frosty wooden floors, and crept down the
stairs. Left foot... right foot... one step closer to the Christmas tree. Only a few steps from the first
floor, and then the floorboards creak under my feet, my heart immediately stops in fear I was going

My grandma has a farm in rural Alberta. The cerulean sky stretches for miles. The sunny canola
fields blanket rolling hills and part around trees. At night, the infinite stars smile down on the
darkened countryside. It's where my mom was born and raised with her three brothers. It's where
I feel at home. I was too young to remember our first trip to Alberta, to "the Farm" out West. There
is a picture from that trip that I remember though, and it's one of my favourites. In the picture I'm
standing next to my cousin Brock. We are looking past the dirty window pane of the peeling
yellow playhouse that was in my Grandma's front yard. Brock has his hand on my back like we
are an old married couple who have supported each other through thick and thin. When I was
three, I went Out West again. My grandma made a scrapbook with me from that trip. In it, it says
"Brock and I are best friends. He's my cousin." And it's true, all of my cousins out West have
always been my best friends. Some of my most treasured memories were made in their company.
We were always marathoning Disney movies, having arm wrestling competitions, playing Payday
and The Game of LIFE, and singing "You Belong With Me" at the top of our lungs. It was a
tradition to rewrite the same play every other year, when we were all at the Farm together. It was
a very simple good versus evil plot, but we would have so much fun with it. Whenever we were all
reunited against the backdrop of the farm, it was like the gods of

For the first two planes of my development, the majority of my memories are fighting with my
parents and siblings. I have never really gotten along with my family and I don't know why. I
guess it's because my mother's and personalities are too similar and they clash. There have been
lots of crucial things in my life that have made me into the person that I am today. Not all of them
have been great, or something that I want to remember, but some are great and I never want to
forget them. The fact that I have lived in the same house for 13 years (I am now 16) and gone to
the same school for going on 13 years this year, have probably helped me keep some memories. At
the same time though it probably gets them jumbled up a little.

I went to the Wheat Ridge Campus where both of my brothers went, and my mother worked. This
is where my love for learning began and flourished. I had a very tight knit group of friends that I
met in kindergarten and had until 3rd grade, despite the fact that one of them moved to Canada. I
can really only remember people from my kindergarten, playing at recess, and working in the
classroom across the hallway after lunch. I had my kindergarten continuation with Amanda, Sami,
and Paul, I still talk to two of them. It was held in the cafegymatorium, and I had a cap, a gown, and
huge purple corsage.
Second Plane
When I moved up to my Lower Elementary classroom, my favorite teacher Lisa also moved with
me. I think at this point in my life I already had a lot of anxiety and her moving up with me helped,
because she was something familiar.
I read my first chapter book, started girl scouts, and had quite a few fun times just in my first–grade
year. I also participated in a play and that sparked my love for theater, although the biggest thing
that happened was I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. I still have that dream to this day.
My second–grade year the things I remember the most are the time we had to do some plays in
Spanish and we made hot chocolate. I also remember my teachers tearing apart the classroom after
Saint Patrick 's Day, so that we could learn to work together. One of mybest friends also moved to
Canada and we have a

I can never forget the nostalgic feeling that enlightens me everytime I drive pass the
neighborhood that stores my favorite memories as a child. Each memory holding its own story,
dying to be told. Either it be positive or negative, they are what shaped me into the person I am
today. I grew up in Frogtown, a small town occupied by 17,049 of the 302,398 people living in
Saint Paul, Minnesota. Frogtown is considered to be one of the few ghetto areas in Saint Paul
city, Opposing it's prosperous neighbor, Summit Hill. Growing up, violence was no stranger to
us kids, hearing gunshots that would pierce through my ear drums like a knife was normal. I still
vividly remember the day I walked into a burglary at a corner store directly next to my house.
Everyday that I would walk home from my bus stop, the run down store always had its way of
capturing my eyes. Maybe it was the fresh blue paint that began to crack, with each crack
connecting to each other, it began to form an image of what seems to be a tree. Which was
aesthetically pleasing to the eyes. Or maybe it was the fact that the store holds my favorite bag of
chips; a bag that bursts with unimaginable spicy but savory flavors and was obtainable by only a
dollar. It was definitely that. Soon I caught on to the daily behavior of buying chips and it was
these small treats that distracted our little minds from the violence that grew like a virus in the
winter. However, on a specific trip to my daily routine of buying chips,
