day. The setting is believable because Camp Green Lake is a kids juvenile camp. Stanley Yelnats is
the main character in the story. He survived by climbing to the top of a thumb shaped mountain.
Zero is another camper that Stanley meets at the camp he has never learned how to read and has
suffered many hardships in his life. X–ray is the leader of the boys group at Camp Green Lake he

story line. First person is Stanley, the main character of this novel. He is not a small boy compare
to his own age, but he was not strong either. Therefore, he usually got bullied at school. He was
