Characters Stanley Yelnats the Fourth- trusty, respectful, slightly shy, a good friend Hector “Zero” Zeroni- quiet, doesn’t like sharing his opinion and although most think he is stupid, he has hidden intelligence Dr. Pendanski- manages the inmates, although he believes the boy should have morals, he doesn’t follow them, despite this he is caring
4. Conflict The conflict is Person vs. Nature This is seen both when the boys are working in the sun at Camp Green Lake and when Stanley and Zero are struggling to survive on Camp Green Lake.
5. Rising Action The first event that leads to the climax is that Stanley gets accused of stealing a pair of shoes and gets sent to Camp Green Lake . The second is while at camp green lake he finds a bullet engraved with the letters KB and begins to think that there is another reason why the warden makes them build holes than just to build their character The third is when Zero gets frustrated with the camp staff and runs away into the desert. Stanley follows him and then they are both lost.
6. Climax The climax lasts from the survival on god’s thumb to when they decide to dig one last holes and find Stanley Yelnats the First’s treasure The most intense part of the climax is when they find the treasure
7. Resolution There are three parts to the resolution. The first sees Stanley and Zero being rescued and Camp Green lake being shut down. The second is that they unknowingly break the Yelnats family curse and lastly they find Stanley’s great grandfather’s treasure.
