Responsibility Strategy to overcome/prevent
Illness/injury
All
Me/model
If the model involved is ill, I will have to contact my
substitute 24 hours before, or as soon as possible so they
are able to fill in and continue the photo shoot. If myself
and anybody else involved is ill then we will have to
schedule a later date so that we are meeting the deadlines
in time.
Memory card
full/ technical
difficulties with
camera or other
equipment
All
Myself
I will make sure that there are no saved images on the memory card
we are using so we donโt experience a full memory card. A good idea
would be too bring a spare memory card so we are able to continue
shooting if it does occur, this will ensure we are on track and can
take as many photos as we possible need. Also, if looking back on
the photos we can delete any of the ones that are blurry/out of
focus or in bad lighting so we can free up some memory to use
straight away.
Low battery
All
Myself
I will make sure that the camera is charging or fully charged the
night before the photo shoot. Ensuring this will avoid any mishaps
during and so we are able to continue without any disturbances.
However, itโs to our advantage due to being in an indoor location
because we are able to quickly charge it with a nearby plug socket.
Broken
equipment
All
Myself
Since we are using the collegeโs equipment on the day and signing
for each thing, it Is our biggest priority to be careful when handling
and to ensure that we donโt break anything whilst photo shooting.
However, if this occurs we will have to inform the teacher
immediately and sort out an alternative source.
If the model
doesnโt meet
the
expectations for
my magazine
All
Myself
I have made sure that my model is confident to re-create any
pose/look and is appropriate to achieve what I expect on my front
cover page. However, it is my responsibility as the photographer to
make him/her as comfortable as possible, and to make them aware
of the look I am trying to achieve so they know what they need to
do. I printed out some pictures of previous models in a variety of
shots so he/she can act appropriately.
Lighting
All
N/A
I will run a test run to see what kind of environment I will be working
with, this gives me the opportunity to test any of the props or
lighting before we actually shoot on the day to achieve the desired
look.
Props
All
Myself
My photo shoot will be using props In order to achieve my desired
look, I have chosen for a drum to be included as to be recognised as
a music magazine. A variety of hair and makeup looks will be re-created
on the day to achieve a range of different shots to use, on
both the double page spread, contents page and front cover. If there
is a malfunction that cannot be fixed by our own actions then we
can resort to Photoshop to edit anything that doesnโt look entirely
right.
Electricals
All
Myself
As we are using a variety of electrical equipment, we must follow
general health and safety regulations throughout the photo shoot.
This is also important for anyone involved therefore, we should
ensure that no unnecessary switches are on and the equipment is
turned off after use.
Software
All
Myself
Since we are using software which may not be entirely reliable, it is
important that we save our work every 10 or so minutes to ensure
that we donโt lose any of our unsaved work.
Magazine not
following
conventions
All Myself As our aim is to achieve a realistic looking professional magazine
look, its important we stick to the regular conventions in order for it
to look real. This means we must regularly compare the different
magazines to our own to ensure itโs going towards the right path.
During my research I looked at some magazines and am aware of
the normal standards in it.
