THEME
The theme of this year’s conference is centered on different ways of thinking about what already
happens in the classroom, through the aid of technology, for the fast moving internet era.
At Leaps of Knowledge: The Classroom Reimagined, participants will discover how looking at or
doing certain things differently can give them a new, refreshed feel. We call this process
"Reimagination" and participants will learn how they can use it to take simple, small but different
steps to create new excitement in their teaching and learning. It’s not about doing different things.
It’s about doing things differently!

KEYNOTE
We are proud to bring Cathy Davidson, renowned educationalist and Ernest L. Boyer Award winner.
Ms Davidson is a Distinguished Professor in the City University of New York (CUNY)’s Graduate
Center’s English Ph.D. program and director of the Futures Initiative, a CUNYwide program that
promotes greater equity and innovation in higher education. She has written and edited 20 books on
education, one of which is “Now You See It”. Her articles are also read by thousands on the Harvard
Business Review, Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, The Washington Post, and more. Her keynote
session, Project Classroom Makeover explores the reimagining of learning in the digital age.
Also speaking will be Ken Wissoker, the Editorial Director of Duke University Press, acquiring
books in anthropology, cultural studies and other areas in the humanities, social sciences, media, and
the arts. In addition to his duties at the Press, he serves as Director of Intellectual Publics at The
Graduate Center, CUNY in New York City. He has published close to 900 books which have won
over 100 prizes. His keynote session will touch on the importance of global knowledge and new
ways of thinking and ideas from around the globe.
EXHIBITION: Showtime
Throughout the conference, exhibition booths will be placed at strategic networking areas to showcase
how classrooms can be reimagined, that is, how educators can do things differently in their
classrooms and to create improvements by the changes they have made.
From Frog Classrooms, where we explore different learning modes through studentled sessions in
our speciallydesigned learning spaces, to Frog Connected Classrooms, where participants can
witness the use of Frog Sites to complement distance learning, to Lightning Talks, exciting best
practices shared by local teachers who are leading change in education across Malaysia; our
Showtime section is geared to inform, inspire and fuel reimagination in the mind of every participant.
Of particular interest is our Reimagine Challenge section in our Main Hall, where participants stand
a chance to win Frog tables and chairs and a oneofakind “The Classroom Reimagined”themed
centrepiece. This centrepiece will be brought to life through a collaborative effort of all participants
through four types of challenges geared to get teachers and parents to do things differently.
TEACHER WORKSHOPS
“Participate in peer learning and gain inspiration”
Participants will be split up into workshops, which offer them a space to collaborate and share
different perspectives, at the same time observing and getting new input on elements of gamification
that may be transferred into their own classrooms, varying the way students experience learning
