1. The First Conditional (If-Clause Type 1)
ประโยคเงื่อนไขแบบที่ 1 หรือ If-Clause แบบที่1 ใชสมมุติในสิ่งที่เปนไปไดและเปนจริง
เชน If I sing songs very well, I will be a singer. ถาฉันรองเพลงไดเพราะ ฉันจะเปนนักรอง
ซึ่งเปนการสมมุติในสิ่งที่เปนไปได คือถารองเพลงเพราะ ก็จะไปเปนนักรอง
ประโยค If-Clause (ประโยคเงื่อนไข) จะประกอบดวย
1. สวนที่เปนเงื่อนไข (If Clause)
2. สวนที่เปนขอความหลัก (Main Clause)
สําหรับรูปแบบประโยคเงื่อนไขแบบที่ 1 เปนดังนี้
สวนทีเ่ ปน If-Clause + สวนที่เปน Main Clause
If + S + V1 (s,es) , S + will + V1
เครื่องหมาย comma

ประโยคบอกเลา
- If I go shopping, I will go with my mother.
- If he wins the game, he'll have a big party.
ประโยคปฏิเสธ
- If they don’t win, they’ll be very sad.
- If she doesn't win, she won't receive the trophy.
ประโยคคําถาม
- What will they do if they win the game?
**ในกรณีที่ตองการให Main Clause ขึ้นกอน If-Clause ไมตองใส comma (,) คั่นประโยค**
เชน
- I will stay at home if it rains.
- I will tell Mary if I see her.
- He will invite Alice if she is free tomorrow.
- Their teacher will be sad if they do not pass their exam.
- Will you stay at home if it rains tomorrow?
