3. INTRODUCTION
Rural health care is one of the biggest
challenges facing the health ministry of India.
With more than 70 percent of population living
in rural areas and low level of health facilities.
Health is a fundamental human right and is
inculcated in Indian constitution.
4. MEANING
MEDICAL FACILITIES AND AWARENESS in
rural areas simply talks about what are the
facilities/things like druggist & chemist shops,
hospitals, ambulance etc. and awareness
regarding the health of their own e.g. they are
eating hygienic food or not, is it good for their
health?
6. Expenditure on health in rural areas by the
Government continuous to be low.
India has 48 doctors per 100,000 persons
which is fewer than in developed nations.
Unavailability of hospitals in rural areas.
Unavailability of medicines in rural areas.
Only five percent of doctors works in rural
areas.
CHALLENGES
7. Physical access – the most obvious
challenge for delivering health care in
rural areas is access, particularly the
physical distance between the services
and patient.
This not only causes problems with the
time , but also costs the patient money.
8. PROBLEMS
According to national health profile 2016
Only one government hospital in between 61,000 people.
Only one government doctor available in 1700 people.
Need of 64 lac doctors , nurses and other workers in govt.
hospitals.
Only 17% people have health insurance.
India pays only 1% of its GDP for govt. facilities.
Lack of medicines in rural areas.
31% of rural population in India has to travel over 30km to get
needed medical treatment.
9. SOLUTION OF PROBLEMS
Government should appoint doctors in rural areas.
Make available all the needed medicines in rural areas.
Make there a government hospital in rural areas.
Get the rural area people aware of importance of
health insurance.
Government should provide 5% of fund of its GDP in
rural areas.
10. CONCLUSION
• The secondry aim of this study was to develop
guidence for MEDICAL AWARENESS.
• Implementation of successful and effective
measures to promot a safe enviroment for patients
with learining disabilities.
• Camps and awareness programms ragularly
arrnged by the hospitals and goveerment to
promote awareness amongst people.
• School and colleges also plyed a great role as to
teach them about health awareness.
