Rafael Lima was born in Brazil but moved to the US at age 8 and speaks 3 languages. He enjoys cycling, playing the violin in his school and church orchestras, and has been enrolled in the NJROTC program at his high school for 3 years where he has risen to the rank of Command Master Chief Petty Officer. Upon graduating, he plans to enlist in the US Marine Corps and serve as an air crew or combat engineer, obtain an associate's degree in fire science during that time, and then retire and become a firefighter.

3. One of the things I love to do for fun I love to cycle! It’s awesome, I love the thrill, the excitement and concentration I have to put in. its a lot of fun, and I get to keep in shape!
4. I play an Instrument too! I love the warm Rich sound of the Violin, I play with the Miami Beach Sr. High Orchestra and in my church.One day I’d like to be part of a symphony orchestra and the South Florida Christian orchestra.
5. NJROTC I’ve Been Enrolled in the NJROTC Unit here at Miami Beach high for 3 years now, It has Been Phenomenal! ; All The Leadership, Adventures, Friendship, Competitions have been outstanding! I’ve Learned so much, and my Leadership skills since freshman year have skyrocketed. I am learning each day to work with my peers My Rank is Cadet Command Master Chief Petty Officer and I am In Charge of over 250 Students that are enrolled in the Program.
6. Love is in the Air! We met each other during my Sophomore year and since then we’ve been each other’s happily! She has been a great impact in my life!She’s been very Dear to me.
7. Life After Beach High Upon Graduating High School I have plans to Enlist in the United States Marine Corps and serve as an Air Crew or Combat Engineer, During my time in the Military I want to get an Associates in Fire Science, and after 4 Years I want to Retire and Enter the Fire Fighting Academy up in Orlando! And then become a Fire Fighter! It has been my Dream since I was a little kid!
