Conversely small diameter wheels are easily stopped from rolling when small obstructions are encountered. Essentially, a castor should possess a wheel diameter in excess of 125mm if the apparatus to which it is fitted is moved often. TYRE & HUB MATERIAL - all tyres will suit one purpose better than another - see the chart below to determine which one you need. FITTING TYPE - there are a number of fittings available to match different purposes. Plates are best for higher loads and most extreme duty due to multiple fixing points (4). Bolt Holes are an economical and quick method of attaching castors that will suit light to medium duty. Fitment is by means of a single bolt that closely approximates the bolt hole size.
