TTC and Need Help w/ ovulation test.?
I am TTC and was wondering about OPK. I have 8 left from previous month and am going to go
buy 20pk ( have coupon lol) and was wondering when i should start? the day my period ends?
or the day i “really” stop bleeding;spotting. and when it comes positive should we try that day or
wait. or should we do all days? I am hoping to concieve soon so i want to get it right!
and how many dpo should i wait to test or is it best to wait till missed period?

Your best bet would be waiting until you stop bleeding. No since in wasting tests!! When it
becomes postive you want to start bd! It normally shows that in the next 24-48 hours you are
fertile. If your dh doesn’t have low counts, bd every day, if he has low counts bd every other
day. Another thing to think about is charting (taking your BBT and watching the changes). It is
best to wait until you miss your period to test. Some test early, but you will get more accurate
results the longer you wait!! Hth

I have already asked but not quite getting answers i want.
In feb i had positive ovulation test on the 26th b’danced lots in march had what i THOUGHT
was implantation bleeding it was light and pink for 2 days then dark and thick dischargy for the
next 2 (wich were the last 2) and then had plenty of Pregger signs AF was late 5days dont want
to believe it came today but it did i think. Not super regular but not light either =[
Any way i could still be preg? no? didnt think so.. i go to get PAPS on 25th..can she tell?
I know more then likely not but.. yah know. had my hopes up like i told my self not to……only
month one of trying i guess i was just expecting it? Lesson learned..What do you all think..

Ya I know how you feel I am in the same exact situation as you. Last month was my first trying
and I was very disappointed by miss AF. Mine wasnt quite normal either but im pretty sure is
was AF. I also had many preg signs to, which were obviously just AF signs. If I were you I would
go with an ovulation kit. Thats what I did. So far its workin pretty good.

engagedandlovingit – I got the dip ones as well. For both OPK and HPT. I got my BFP 8DPO
(which is rare) and it was light so I tested daily for about a week and watched them slowly get
darker. You can look at my old questions for my charts and symtoms.

Could I be pregnant or not?
March 9th Update
My period isn’t due till the 12th. I took a First Response test on Thursday 8th which says it will
detect 5 days before missed period it came of as a strong NEGATIVE.
I am thinking I am NOT pregnant now. Which is really sad since all I have been thru. This week
the white discharge has stopped and went to a wet discharge and I have broke out on the face
also like I always do right before my period begins. I think I am now depressed. The only other
symptoms I have had that are unusual are my lower back started aching today actually and all
week I have been tired during the day and in the afternoon I have been taking a 45 mins nap
which I have never done before.
Okay I dug thru my closet and found several ovulation tests and took one this morning with my
1st urine and it came out very very positive so I am ovulating which is wonderful since I have
never done that before
I got so hyped that I got lounge pants on, no bra lol, sneakers and grabbed my E.P.T. coupon I
had for Walmart went in grabbed a 3 pack and tested on that strong NEG BUT I am sooo happy
I am ovulating and we are doing as doctor orders with every other day so I pray this happens
and on the 17th the test comes out being a big FAT +
March 10th Update
My mom bought me a dollar store pregnancy test I just think its still too early for any pregnancy
test to detect but I might be wrong. I took it anyways and another fat NEGATIVE. Please tell me
what you think. Is it way too early to test or am I not pregnant? I see no one is commenting
wondering why that is
My period is suppose to come the 12th-14 it varies

Those HPTs are looking for an increase in hCG. At this point, it would be too early for you to
test accurately because the levels of hCG in your system are probably not high enough for the
tests to truly tell if you are pregnant. I would wait until Tuesday. If you still don’t have your
period, try another test. I know waiting is hard…we are TTC and I am two days late, with a
negative pregnancy test. Try to relax and think positive! Good luck!
