athletes live and work in SaintPetersburg and one of them is a
brilliant figure-skating coach
T.N.Moskvina. One of her best
and favorite pairs is Anton
Sikharulidze and Elena
Berezhnaya

T.N. Moskvina was born on June
26, 1941, in Leningrad. She began
skating at the age of 10.In 1957
she began training with coach Igor
Moskvin and soon they married.
During her own skating career
Moskvina was known for including
unusual flexibility moves in her
programs. The tiny great lady T.N.
Moskvina is creating pleasure
called figure skating. She is a
Honorary citizen of SaintPetersburg.

4. ► Anton Sikharulidze was
born in Leningrad on
October 25,1976.With
E.Berezhnaya he won a
silver medal at the 1998
Winter Olympics in Nagano
and gold medal at the 2002
Winter Olympics in Salt
Lake City. This gold was
later shared with Canadian
pair Jamie Sale and David
Pelletier.

5. ► On January,1996, at a
practice rink in Riga, Latvia,
Elena Berezhnaya was
hurt. She was slashed on
the left side of her head.
T.Moskvina and
A.Sikharulidze came to her
rescue. They took her out
of Latvia on a night time
train to Saint-Petersburg.
Elena began skating again
in March 1996.

were known for the
great elegance and
technical quality of
their skating.
