PGS Prevention Monthly Connect
HSD Update
PGS System Improvement Plan was finalized the end of November, and
implementation of the plan will start January 2016. The System
Improvement Plan will be posted as soon as final touch ups to formatting
are complete.
Lottery Update: PGS staff, Voice, Oregon Council and Lottery staff
meeting every other month to share information and discuss common
purpose.
The work group for the environmental scan process is temporarily on
hold until the initial roll-out of OPDS is complete. OPDS has taking a bit
more concentrated time during initial roll out. So projected timeline will be
in January 2016.
Roxann’s role expansion to include 16 counties for PG Tx.
Prevention Unit based out of Public Health as of November 2015, PG
Prevention has remained at HSD as part of the PG System. PG Prevention
and SA Prevention will continue to collaborate closely whenever possible.

Thursday of the month from 1:30-
2:30.
Save the Date: Focus on Future conference April 28th

collaborative effort with Evergreen Council and HSD. Pre-conference
dates are April 26th

2016 Problem Gambling Awareness Calendar Update: 20 boxes left.
Encourage participants for the 2017 calendar messages in other
languages.
Calendar of Events can be found on OregonPGS.org. Please plan on
attending the Provider Webinar on December 10th
9-10:30 am, special
guest on Older Adult resources across the state.
Problem Gambling Site Reviews – ORS 415-056-0030 requires a
LOA. Roxann will be scheduling site reviews starting in 2016.

Plans are being reviewed and feedback provided by Prevention
Team and Roxann
All plans are due to be submitted/resubmitted no later than Friday,
December 18th
.
For those programs with approved plans you should be entering data
monthly.
