further suspense.

hunter type figure in a
natural environment
creates some tension as
audience prepares for a
killing.
Mise-en-scene = the
spear and the persons
stance is the main source
of the tension.
When this figure then
disappears in the next
2 seconds it adds to
the suspense.

5. The 5 seconds
of focus on the
reindeer and a
jump cut to the
hunter figure
shows that it is
the prey.
This can make
the audience
sympathise with
the reindeer
and also feel
tension due to
the indications
of future events
(the killing).

6. Only being able
to see her eyes
creates some
suspense.

7. The killing could
create some
tension due to how
realistic it looks
and also because
of the fact that
every detail of the
death is shown.

8. Audience think that the tension is over as the hunters face is revealed and it is a girl.

9. The sound of the gun being fired at the
end could start up a feeling of tension
again.
