(Indirect Taxation & Sales), since 16.09.2013 till date.
Current Job Profile: Strict compliance of Statutory requirements to avoid penalty & prosecution
• Responsible for the maintenance of Central/State Excise, Service Tax/VAT and other Statutory
Returns etc.,
• To take CENVAT Credit of Inputs, Capital Goods & Input Services as per CENVAT Credit Rules.
• To supervise all records i.e. P.L.A., R.G.-1 Registers of Molasses & Sugar. Excise Return (E.R.-
1), and other returns like E.R. - 4, E.R. - 5, E.R. - 6 & recently introduced E.R.-7 and E.R.-8.
• To calculate the Service Tax liability on Goods Transport Agency, Reverse Charge Mechanism
and deposit through GAR-7.
• To prepare and file Forms A.R.E.-1 ,U.T.-1, B-1, A.R.E.-3 and other related formalities of Export,
• To prepare and file the half yearly Service Tax Return (ST-3), To reconcile Service tax receivable
A/C & Excise Duty receivable A/C with CENVAT credit taken and utilization records.
• To prepare the reply the letter/Show Cause Notices & other information’s etc. as and when
required by Central/State Excise/ Trade Tax Departments, pleading Cases upto
Commissioner(Appeals), assisting Advocates for Appeals before CESTAT & High Court.
• To maintain monthly return of VAT, Entry Tax, Purchase Tax.
• Responsible for Commercial Tax/Consolidated VAT Return, Assessment, pursuing Appeals at
various Forums and other related matters assigned by the Management from time to time.
• Others:
• Liasioning with Central Excise Range and Division, Trade Tax Deptt., Sugar Directorate,
ISMA and other related Govt. Agencies.
• Co-ordination with Central Excise Audit, .A.G. U.P .Audit and Statutory Auditors etc.
