Students and Parents 2012
Dear Parents and Students:
As the second half of the school year begins, it is never too early to begin planning for AP Examinations. AP
Examinations dates are May 7th – May 18th. Below is a list of frequently asked questions and answers to help
guide you in the process of planning for your testing. If you have any questions or concerns that are not

AP Testing FAQs:
1. Where do I find information about AP tests?
The Bulletin for AP Students and Parents, available in ASB and AP classrooms, contains information about
AP Exams, the AP Exam Administration, and exam security policies and procedures.
www.collegeboard.com/apstudents is also a great resource for students to learn about the AP Exams.
2. When and where do I sign up for the AP Exams?
Registration forms will be made available in the main office starting January 30th. The registration
window closes after March 1st.
AP Chinese Language Information
Due to a limited number of seats, registration for the AP Chinese Language & Culture exam will be
managed with a priority registration process. Please refer to the table below to determine your
registration window. This exam costs $105 and is not open to non-FUHSD students. For details about
registering for AP exams, please refer to your school’s website or visit the ASB office.

2. 3. How much do the tests cost?
Most exams are $95 each with checks payable to FUHSD or cash. Special format tests (foreign language
tests and Music Theory) cost $105.
4. Where will each test be located?
Test locations are scheduled after sign-ups. Most tests will be administered at Monta Vista, although
there is a possibility that your test may be administered at an off-campus site. We will notify you once
the test locations are determined. You will be notified of testing sites when you receive the AP Student
Pack in April.

6. What happens if I am taking two tests scheduled at the same time?
Please inform Mrs. Mandac, ASB Secretary, of the conflict and you will be scheduled for a late test for
one of the examinations.
