Wat Rong Khun, also known as the White Temple, is an unconventional Buddhist temple located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Designed in 1997 by Chalermchai Kositpipat, it is a bizarre blend of traditional Thai architecture and surreal elements. The building is painted white to symbolize Buddha's purity and covered in mosaics of mirrors that sparkle in the sun. Sculptures of demons, skulls, and severed heads hanging from trees surround the complex.
