2. Christmas
• At Chrismas we like to decorate our houses with a nativity scene
(in Spanish "Belén") and with a Christmas tree. In Spain,
Christmas holidays are from the 22nd December to 7th January.
4. New Year's Eve
• We celebrate the last
night of the year with
the family. We eat a lot
of praws and specially
meat and fish.
5. New Year
• When it is twelve o'clock we eat
twelve grapes, one for each stroke of
the clock. And we toast with
champagne. We follow the clock of
"La Puerta del Sol" in Madrid.
6. History of the grapes
• One year, Spanish farmers
cultivated a lot lands of grapes.
And the Spanish thought that
they could eat at New Year's
Eve to celebrate the twelve
months of the year.
7. The three Magic Kings
• On the 6th January, the three
Magic Kings come to the
houses and they bring
presents.
8. Three Magic Kings
sweet
• On 6th January evening
we eat a special sweet
that in Spanish is
called " Roscón". We
usually eat it with hot
chocolate. This sweet
hides small presents
and if you find one bean
you have to pay the
"Roscón".
