A: As soon as you have an interest in a property, and would like to discuss moving forward, contact your lender first to determine whether the home you selected will be eligible for a Like New AZ remodel and to obtain an idea of how much you will be able to use towards the remodel work. Like New AZ will visit the property and draw up an estimate of repair to fit your budget needs. Q: Do I have to meet Like New AZ at the home to discuss an estimate? A: No, you are not required to meet at the home. When Like New AZ arrives at a home, many pictures, notes and measurements are obtained to provide an accurate proposal which can then be submitted with your offer. Q: Do I get to select the options that will eventually be installed in the home (color and styles)? A: YES! That is half the fun! As a matter of fact, we invite you to come into our award winning design center at your leisure to browse the interior finishes that are available for you to choose from to make your home Like New again! Bids are generated using the most commonly selected items, if the options you select differ from those that were quoted, there will be a price adjustment to accommodate your selection. Q: What are the most commonly selected options? A: Flooring updates, Cabinetry upgrades, Window Coverings (blinds), Plumbing corrections/upgrades, Drywall repairs, Painting, Roof repairs, Installation of permanently installed Appliances (Built in Range and Range hood, Dishwasher), Lighting fixtures, Ceiling fans, AC service and installation, Window upgrades, Q: How quickly can an estimate be ready? A: Estimates are ready approximately two (2) business days following the inspection at the home. 13
14. FAQ: Q: Does Like New AZ install landscaping? A: We do offer landscaping packages, however, this depends on your financing. If you have chosen to use the FHA 203k loan, it will not cover standard landscaping, however, some exceptions are improvements that will make your property safe or handicap accessible. Q: How long will it take to complete the work on my Like New house? A: On average, our jobs have been completed within 30 days. Each job is so individual in its needs, so it really depends on the total size of the job, and degree of work requested. Q: When will work begin on my Like New home? A: Work must begin within 30 days from the execution of the agreement. Typically, we begin work within one-week of your closing date. Q: May I begin work in the house prior to loan approval, to do some of the repairs myself? A: No. Unfortunately, you are not able to perform your own repairs prior to an inspection simply because the property does not yet belong to you. All work that is being done, must be completed by a licensed contractor. Q: Can I move into the home while work is still being done? A: We ask that you not move into the property unless until all work has been completed. We deal with this type of circumstance on a case by case basis. There are people coming and going, and we prefer to minimize the potential for trip hazards, and potential for damaging personal property. 14
