Our Vision
To work towards developing a scientifically oriented and dynamic
student community, passionate about science and engineering
Our Mission
To provide avenues to students in NTU and beyond which bolster
their scientific acumen and prepare them well for a competitive
external environment
10. About the Symposium
• The IEEE Science Symposium is an event organised every year to
promote the spirit of scientific and technological research among
students.
• It is conducted specifically for JC and Polytechnic Students
• Since its inception 7 years ago, it has received an overwhelming
response from students and continues to grow from strength to
strength each year.
• Science Symposium 2013 will serve as an encouraging platform
for enthusiastic scientific minds to bring forth their ideas through
science projects while competing against the best of their peers.
11. Our Objective
The main objective of the Science Symposium is to provide an outlet
for students to apply their technical and scientific prowess in
researching topics from various scientific disciplines, and thus identify
and create new avenues where their research can be applied, for the
benefit and betterment of society and mankind as a whole.
12. Why Science Symposium?
• The Science Symposium is an extremely prestigious event,
attracting the brightest students from Junior Colleges and
Polytechnics all over Singapore.
• Besides being given a chance to showcase their depth of technical
knowledge and creativity, students also get a unique opportunity
to have a look at the educational facilities available to them at
NTU, as well as have their research papers examined and
corrected by NTU professors themselves.
