I am working as Vice President, Medical Affairs, in Manipal Group for last 6 years. Before that,
for a period of 2 ½ years, I worked as Dean, Manipal Institute of Regenerative Medicine
(MIRM), Bangalore. My role in Stempeutics is to look after the Clinical Development, pre-
clinical research and basic research involving stem cells including Mesenchymal Stromal cells.
Earlier during my tenure with the Armed Forces (for 24 years), I also worked in both
professional and administrative appointments in zonal hospitals (bed strength of > 200) and
tertiary care hospitals. Professionally I am a trained Haematopathologist, from All India Institute
of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, and have done my PhD in Hematology from the same
Institute. During these 14 years as specialist in the Armed Forces, I have held varying
appointments, both as a clinician, teacher and researcher giving me vast experience in
Haematopathology, Transfusion Medicine, Pathology and Stem Cells. I have also worked for
many years in a premier Institution of the Armed Forces like Armed Forces Medical College,
