1. PACT (Parents and Children Together) is a multi-disciplinary multi agency team
of social care, health and other staff. This includes: Social Workers, Social Care
Workers, Health Visitors, Family Support Workers, Nursery Nurses and Money
Advice staff.
We provide support and advice to families with children aged 0-5 years. We also
help families where there is already an allocated Social Worker.
What support do we provide?
We can help with a whole range of different things including:
* support and advice regarding budgeting and financial difficulties,
* advice on parenting,
* routines,
* sleep,
* baby massage,
* how to interact with your child,
* how to deal with difficult behaviour,
* weaning,
* toilet training, and
* general health advice.
Other services we provide include our Play and Share scheme (a play initiative
held in local libraries), Bounce & Rhyme (a singing and music group, also held in
local libraries) and Baby Massage (held in various venues). We normally provide
this support for anywhere between 12-16 weeks right up to a year. You do not
need to be referred to PACT to attend Bounce & Rhyme.
How do I get help from PACT?
Normally families who need support from PACT would be referred to us by
another health or social care professional e.g. Health Visitor, Social Worker or
another.
However, you don’t need to be referred to PACT to enjoy our Bounce & Rhyme
(a singing and music group, held in local libraries), Bumps to Babies (a group for
mums-to-be and new mums) and Baby Massage (held in various venues). Just
come along or contact PACT: 0141 276 8860.
If your family requires help from PACT, we normally allocate you one of our staff
who would then coordinate a support plan for you. They will bring in other
members of the PACT team as and when needed.
Help can be given on a one-to-one basis or in a group setting.
