The Religion Islam
| The Religion Islam|
The Religion Islam What is Islam? The word Islam means submission to the will of God. The religion of Islam is the acceptance of and obedience to
the teachings of God which the Muslims–followers of Islam–believe God revealed to his last prophet. Muslims believe that there is only one God. The
Arabic word for God is Allah which means, the one and only true God who created the whole universe. According to Muslims, God sent a number
of prophets to mankind to teach them how to live according to His law. To the Muslims, Jesus, Moses and Abraham are respected as prophets of
God. Muslims believed in the prophets as messengers of God, but according to their beliefs, God's final message to man was revealed by the ... Show

The fifth belief of the Muslims is to believe in the Day of Judgment. Muslims believe in the Day of Judgment which is the day of resurrection, when
all people will be resurrected for God's judgment according to their beliefs and deeds. The last belief of the Muslims is to believe in Al–Qadar.
Muslims believe in Al–Qadar, which is divine predestination, but this belief in divine predestination does not mean that human beings do not have free
will. Rather, Muslims believe that God has given human beings free will. This means that they can choose right or wrong and that they are responsible
for their choices.
The belief in Divine Predestination includes belief in four things: God knows everything. He knows what has happened and what will happen, God
has recorded all that has happened and all that will happen, whatever God wills to happen happens, and whatever He wills not to happen does not
happen and God is the creator of everything. Muslims believe the Sunnah is the practical example of the Prophet Muhammad and that there are five
basic pillars of Islam. The Five Pillars of Islam are the five obligations that every Muslim must fulfill in order to live a good and responsible life
according to Islam. These pillars are the confession of faith, praying five times a

Christianity And Islam Essay
Islam and Christianity are the two largest religions in the world. Contrary to popular belief there are many similarities to Islam and Christianity.
Christianity makes up a gaping Thirty percent of the worlds population, while Islam takes up about Twenty– Five percent of the worlds population.
Together that makes up about half of the worlds population.
Islam means, "surrender", but in a religious context it means "the surrendering of one's will (without compulsion) to the true will of God in an effort to
achieve peace". Salam, which is the root word of Islam, means peace. Islam is a way of life and civilization, it traces back all the way back to Adam
and Eve. People who are of the Islamic faith are called or referred to as Muslims. To... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Prophet, Muhammad, Islam
The prophet, Muhammad founded Islam in 622 C.E. at the Arabian Peninsula. Judaism and Christianity both originate in Palestine, but Judaism
commenced over 3,500 years ago while Christianity found its beginning in 33 C.E. Christianity was created by Christ, the son of God, while Abraham
was the man credited with founding Judaism. Assuredly, albeit Judaism,Christianity and Islam were founded in divergent times, the religions still hold
similarities in beliefs and teachings. However, differentiations are still present and significant. In ancient times the religions of Judaism, Christianity
and Islam were founded. Admittedly, the religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam hold coinciding components as well as differing sectors;
including the afterlife, political views, and their gods.
To a degree Judaism and Christianity are fairly similar, withal possessing variations. For instance, both theologies hold devotion and loyalty to a single
deity. Judaism, and Christianity both are monotheistic religions dedicating their allegiance to God. Moreover, the texts of both religions are comparable.
The most sacred Jewish reference is the Bible, comprising of the Jewish Bible and the New Testament. The Christian Bible is constructed from the Old
and New Testament. Thus, the two contrasting religions exemplify the same text, The New Testament. Politically speaking, in both spiritualities the
religion is separate from the state, or government. Whereas theses comparisons are still

Essay about Islam has Raised the Status of Women
"The dowry, previously regarded as a bride–price paid to the father, became a nuptial gift retained by the wife as part of her personal property" (Fanar).
This quote sums up the transition of women from being property to an individual person. Women used to be sold and purchased, but Islam raised the
status of the women within a society that never thought much of the female. In the past, certain societies believed marriage was nothing more than a
status symbol. Women were thought of producing children and establishing a man's family tree. During pre–Islamic Arabia, women had no rights and
were not considered equal members of society. They were given no respect, and discarded when men grew tired of them. Women were considered

"Islam grants woman equal rights to contract, to enterprise, to earn and possess independently. Her life, her property, her honor are as sacred as
those of man. If she commits any offense, her penalty is no less or more than of man's in a similar case. If she is wronged or harmed, she gets due
compensations equal to what a man in her position would get" (Qur'an 2:178; 4:45, 92–93). The Qur'an states that women are given the right to
participate in business and to own things independently, which is a very important statement. This verse shows that women are considered
independent from a man, and are free to do as they please in an Islamic manner. Furthermore, it goes on to states if a women makes any kind of
mistake, its punishment will be of equal measure to a man. When it comes to work, women are given a choice to work or not. Also, if they decide
to work, their money is for them to keep and they do not have to use it toward financial expenses (Badawi). Islam changed the status of women in
Arabia when it came to owning land and working. Before Islam was preached in Arabia, women were not given a choice who they were to marry;
usually ending up being forced into a marriage. They were basically sold off to a suitor, and their previous family identity was stripped away from
them. They became dependent on their husband, and given very little chances at freedom. However, Islam aimed to change the injustice by allowing
women to have a choice in

The Between Islam And Middle Eastern Countries
America is predominantly known as the melting pot of the world. It has cultivated a variety of populations in search for a "new life." People from a
variety of religions, races, and ethnicities live in this country and call it their home. People whom identify as Muslims are one of the many groups of
people who live, work, and worship here. Since we live in a country where there are multiple religions and races, it is important that we learn their
customs and culture. Muslims most commonly originate from Africa, and Middle Eastern countries. The religion of this group of people,Islam,
developed in the seventh century. Islam helps put life into perspective and gives hope to the hopeless . The beliefs of Islam revolve around the Quran,
which was written by the prophet Mohammad (Rippin, 2012 p. 5). As stated by Armstrong (2012), the formation of Islam can be summarized as, "a
narrative that tells of the revelations given to the Prophet, the migration to Medina, the battles of the early community, the return to Mecca and the
subsequent conquests under the Rightly Guided caliphs p. 88". The religion of Islam that Muslims identify with is fairly new as compared to other
religious such as Judaism and Christianity. The Quran holds three basic teachings; through law, the previous prophets ( Mohammed), and the final
judgment ( Enlightment). Some of this parallels to what Christians refer to as the Doctrine and Bible of Christ. While many figures and stories found

Comparing The Five Pillars Of Islam
The pillars of Islam are based off the prophets, and they all build the fundamentals to being a Muslim. The five pillars of Islam include Faith
(Shahada), Prayer (Salat), Charity (Zakat), Fasting (Sawm), and Pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj), the five pillars are the framework of the entire faith
(Ayoub 2017). Muslims believe that the pillars came to be at the time of the prophet, what bestowed the religion to them, and the five pillars helped
the religion succeed after the prophet's death (Ayoub 2017). These pillars symbolized attribution to the prophets in the orthodox faith and to others a
person's admission into the Muslim community. The pillars were created for acts of devotion and practices for the Muslim faith (Ayoub 2017).
Although the pillars are based on the Muslim faith, some beliefs relating to the pillars show in other religions. Faith, prayer and fasting are a few of
the pillars of Islam but they are not exclusive to only Muslims, they are also present within Christian beliefs and practices.
The first pillar of Islam is Shahada, also known as faith, which in the Arabic language means testimony. Shahada holds two key parts, one being that
nothing deserves to be worshiped except Allah, and the second being that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah (Mufti 2006). These two key parts are
the testimony to the Muslim faith, and every Muslim must make that declaration before joining the community (Mufti 2006). When talking about faith
in Islam you can see some of those key

Islam Is A Major World Religion
The most fundamental belief in Islam is that there is no God but Allah. He is the one, the first and the last, has no partners, sons, daughters or
intermediaries. Islam is a major world religion with over one billion followers worldwide. Although it's associated with the Arabs of the Middle East,
Muslims are found all over the world of every nation, color, and race. Islam means submission to the will of God; comes from an Arabic root word
meaning peace and submission. The origin word of Islam, "Salam", is the same that is shared with the Arabic word meaning peace and security.
Peace and safety come from living life according to God's will. Crow said: "Islam signifies the safety and security experienced in acts of mutual
harmony and concord between humans arising out of the inner peace between individual creatures and the Creator." To guide people, several sources
have been established and explained by God through his Prophets with clear signs, which make obvious what is right and what is wrong. Peace and
safety come from living life according to the God's will.
Many people claimed that Islam was a political entity, meaning converts did not often spread the religion, but Islam as a political entity was spread
by force and combat. Esack describes the claim about the religion, "If there is a major world religion that is unambiguously identified as having a
political agenda, then it is Islam. For most people who are not Muslim, this is seen as very disturbing, not least because

How Did Islam Spread
Islam's story, as you could probably guess, started with the prophet Muhammad. Islam first appeared in Arabia. But what was Arabia like before
Islam arose? Before the rise of Muhammad and Islamic religion the Arabian Peninsula was originally the home to a group of nomadic desert
dwellers who were able to deal with the harsh desert climate by "migrating" every season. In the fifth century BC more people groups began
establishing settlements, many chose Mecca, by the west coast of Saudi Arabia. This location did not provide a preferable climate or many natural
resources, but was the site of a large cubical shrine dedicated to various deities, this was called the site of Ka'ba.
The beginning of Islam can be traced all the way back to Saudi Arabia in the 7th century. It is believed that Islam was actually introduced 610 A.D.
(A.D. stands for the Latin phrase anno domini, which means ВЁin the year of our LordВЁ). Muhammad introduced Islam after claiming that he
experienced what he believed to be an angelic visitation. Muhammad then dedicated the holy book of Islam known as QurВґan. This is the beginning
of Islam according to Secular History. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Prophet Muhammad : The Father Of Islam
"Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets. Indeed, Allah knows about all things."
(Quran 33:40)
Who is Muhammad? As mentioned in the Quran in chapter 33, sura Al–Ahzab verse 40, Muhammad is the final messenger of Allah to spread and teach
Islam. He was also mentioned as the seal of the prophets which marks the end of all prophets. Muhammad was born in Mecca, western Arabia in the
year 570, and was brought up by his uncle Abu Talib, head of the Hashim clan of the respected tribe of Quraysh (Donner, 2007).
Although Prophet Muhammad was illiterate as mentioned in chapter 7, sura Al–A'raf verse 157, he was still chosen by Allah to preach about Islam as
he was honest, trustworthy, generous, truthful, and sincere:
"(Who are the ones to whom my mercy will extend? It is for) those (Jews and Christians) who follow the Messenger, the unschooled Prophet, whom
they will find mentioned in their own (scriptures) – in the Torah and the Gospel – for he will command them to do what is recognized (as right) and
forbid them from doing what is unfamiliar (to god's good way of life). (The Messenger of Allah) will allow them (to partake of) what is pure and
forbid them from what is unclean..." (Quran 7:157).
The prophet received his first revelation at the age of 40 in the Cave of Hira through the angel Gabriel who was sent down by Allah. The revelations
lasted for a period of 23 years which they are known as the Quran.

Five Pillars Of Islam
Arkhan al Islam or the five pillars of faith are the foundations of Islam which govern the everyday actions and practices of Islamic adherents around
the world. These core teachings of Islam are essential in order for Muslims to be able to efficiently express and practice their beliefs. Adherents are
expected to follow these pillars as it is stated in the Qur'an, believed to be the direct word of Allah, revealed through the revelation to the prophet
Muhammad. The five pillars are a crucial part of Islam, therefore being perfect examples of expressions of faith, as they shape how the Islamic faith is
lived out. Both Sunni and Shi'ia Muslims agree of the fundamentals of Islam, and carry out practicing these beliefs in similar yet slightly altered ways.
By living out these pillars, adherents are showing full submission to Allah and will assist adherents in gaining a place in the afterlife.
SHAHADAH:
Shahadah is the Muslim declaration or testimony of faith. The words "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad (PBUH) is His messenger." are
recited in order to affirm Islamic adherents belief in Allah and in the prophet Muhammad being God's final messenger. By reciting this testimony of
Islamic faith, adherents acknowledge that Allah has an exclusive right to be worshipped and only Him, as well as accepting the prophethood of
Muhammad, being the last and final messenger of Allah. Shahadah must be stated by a Muslim, as if it is not said nor known, then one may not call

Social Aspects Of Islam Mohammed
I have a feeling that talking about this rather sensitive topic will raise hell and will indeed upset many who actually deeply believe that their bloodline
goes back to the Prophet of Islam Mohammed (PBUH). However, I strongly believe that it is about time that we talk about this phenomenon, which
only congregate our ignorance and backwardness.
Growing in a conservative and religious environment, many social aspects of life in Morocco did not make sense to my head, and my brain could and
will never be able to digest how the vast majority of Moroccans, regardless their social status, believe that they have all a sacred lineage to the Holy
House. They believe that their bloodline takes all the way back to the Prophet. This includes the rich and the poor, the educated and the illiterate; they
all claim some type of holiness and show it off when opportunities occur and permit.
In a previous analysis, I talked about how Islam has been widely and abusively used throughout Moroccan history to gain power and wealth. This has
been proven and recorded in history books. Each ruling dynasty used the banner of religion to overthrow the declining and fading dynasty.
When Islam was introduced to humanity, it introduced a doctrine, which promotes a social equality and called for abolishing of social differences.
Islam praises those who do good deeds and abide by the Divine rules set by the Deity and His Prophet Mohammed (PBUH). There is no single verse in
the Holy Koran that praises a

The holy Quran is the highest authority in Islam. It contains the exact words of god written by his prophet mohammed. Muslims rely on the Sunnah,
the saying and actions, of a prophet. This sunnah is an idea, in the words of God written by Muhammad's deeds. They were recorded in what are
called ahadith, which are news and, reports. Here is an english translation on what Muhammad reportedly said to his companions, in his teachings.
Numbers 1–20 are from Volumes 1–2, and have been quoted from "Riyadh–Us–Saleheen." Volumes 3–4 were recorded by "An–Nawawi's Forty
Hadith." The basic message of Islam can be summed up in the arabic expression "La ilaha illa Allah", which translates to No god but Allah:
Muhammad is the prophet of Allah. The word Islam means submission, a muslim is someone who submits to God. In submitting to god, muslims
must accept the 5 pillars, also known as the five pillars of Islam. The first pillar is muslims have to proclaim their belief in one god. Further, they
accept that God has revealed his message to Mohammed. Muslims honor many prophets including Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. To the Muslims,
Mohammed is their most important prophet, even though they honor Muhammad, they do not worship him as a God. The second pillar is prayer.
Muslims are expected to pray 5 times a day and face toward the holy mecca. The third pillar of Islam is charity to the poor and to the aged. The Zakat

Islam is a religion of peace. There are 5 pillars of Islam which are mandatory. The five pillars are, Shahadah, Salat, Zakat, Sawm, and Hajj, I will define
the five pillars now.
1.Shahadah: Beleiving that there is no God but Allah, and Muhammad [peace be upon him] is his last messanger.
2.Salat: It is the prayers muslims offer five times a day, Fajr, zuhr, asr, maghrib and isha.
3.Zakat: It is to give 2.5% annually of one's saving to the needy people.
4.Sawm: Fasting during the month of Ramadan to learn to have a control over yourself.
5.Hajj: To go to Mekkah and Medina to perform pilgrimage once in a life time at least, if you can afford it.

ever been on this planet. His father died before he was born, and his mother passed away when he was six years old. Muhammad [peace be upon him]

Abu Talib was very dear to Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him], but he did not accept Islam. He started taking care of the prophet since
Muhammad [peace be upon him] was about eight years old. The prophet tried to convince his uncle to accept Islam and recite Shahadah till his uncles'

shahada because he fears death.

Adam was the first prophet to walk the earth but before he did

The Prophet Muhammad : The Rise And Fall Of Islam
The Prophet Muhammad is undoubtedly one of the single most important figures in all of history. His messages as the Prophet of God created a new
community of Believers that has morphed into the second largest religion in the world, and created one of the greatest states in history, the caliphate.
However, since his death 1400 years ago, his followers have struggled to define exactly how Muhammad's authority and teachings apply in their day
and age (Donner xi). Was he a commanding military leader, a devout theologian, or a master legislator? Muslims throughout history have taken vastly
different positions on this spectrum, yielding varied sects of Islam, and leading to the rise and fall of caliphates throughout the ages. Two good examples
of this are the Kharijites and the Umayyad dynasty, who through their actions show us their opinions on the authority of the prophet Muhammad,
whether as a political leader or spiritual icon. These definitions shaped the rise and fall of the Umayyad dynasty and Kharijite sect by affecting their
policy towards other religions and sects of Islam. Through their arguably extreme beliefs and actions, the Kharijites show us that they firmly believed
Muhammad was both a moral exemplar and spiritual master and a military leader. Their hardline beliefs led them to become a marginalized people,
who were often fomenting insurrection against the caliphate. This position cemented their status as the original fundamental Muslims, and led to their

Jesus in Islam
Jesus, referred to as Prophet Isa in Islam, is considered to be a messenger of God and al–Masih (the Messiah) in the Islam religion . Prophet Isa or
Al–Masih, was sent to guide bani israil with a new scripture, al–Injil . Clearly, prophet Isa is a significant figure in the Islam, and in the Quran, He
appears in 93 ayaat. According to the Quran, prophet Isa was born to Maryam as the result of virginal conception, a miraculous event, which occurred
by the decree of Allah. To aid in his ministry to the Jewish people,Jesus was given the ability to perform miracles, which no other prophet in Islam has
ever been credited with, all by the permission of Allah rather than of his own power.
Like all prophets in Islam, prophet Isa is considered a Muslim; that all Muslim should submit to the will of Allah and obey his commands.
Traditionally, the Islam faith teaches the rejection of the Trinitarian Christian view that Jesus was God incarnate or the son of God. The Quran says that
prophet Isa himself never claimed to be the son of God . Furthermore, it indicates that Jesus will deny having ever claimed divinity at the last judgment,
and Allah will vindicate him. Islamic texts forbid the association of partners with God, emphasizing a strict notion of pure monotheism. Al–Imran: 59

What I mean when I say totally different is that the Sunni branch is more optimistic while the Shia branch leans more towards pessimism. The Sunni
branch is the largest and it takes up about eighty five percent of Muslims leaving the Shia branch with only fifteen percent. The main issue of the
branches is that they didn't both agree on who should lead the community after Muhammad passed. The Sunni branch believed it should have been a
group decision on who takes charge next, while the Shia did not agree with that and they thought that it should have went to Muhammad's cousin, Ali.
The Shia is also all about free will and symbolism rather than determinism and literal attributes like Sunni. Its hard to believe groups like Al Qaeda that
committed the nine eleven terrorism attacks are apart of the Sunni branch and not the Shia since we consider these attacks harshly negative and
definitely not positive. Not all Muslims are terrorists though, that was just one example of the two different branches of Islam that I discussed. Above

Prophet Muhammad Research Paper
Muhammad is widely believed by the Muslims community to be a messenger and prophet of God; most Muslims view him as the last prophet of God
as taught by the Quran (Valentine 134). Muslims thus consider him the renovator of an unaffected and unique monotheistic faith of Adam, Noah,
Abraham, Moses, and other prophets (Peters 9). The prophet as he was called had a social life, as a leader he had both followers and those who
opposed him and all them viewed him differently. Muhammad was born in Mecca around the year 570 (Conrad). Orphaned before the age of six, the
prophet became orphaned. Under the guard of his uncle Abu Talib, and began working as a merchant and also known for his honesty (Conrad). The
story of how the prophet received his divine revelations is a fascinating one. According to Denffer, at the age of forty, Muhammad started to have
dreams and hearing voices. In his search to understand, he would sometimes go down in the cave of Hira, near Mecca to pray. On one of these
occasions, the Archangel Gabriel (Jibra'il in Arabic) showed himself to him and taught him how to read and the read "in the name of [your] lord" This
was the beginning of many revelations that became the foundation of the Qur'an, the holy book of Islam. These initial revelations revealed the

Theodicy and Ethics Within Islam

have great influence upon the significance of Islam. The functions of these two concepts are to further broaden one 's understanding of Islam. Both
concepts are essential to learning about the Islamic way of life. Moreover, in Islam theodicy and ethics serve as the basis of the problem of evil, right

According to Islam, God has given us the choice of right and wrong and if Muslims follow the path of the Qur 'an, then they shall receive
salvation. Additionally, God is omniscient but man still needs punishment for any evil acts. The problem of evil arises when free moral beings
choose to do evil acts. We, as free beings, tend to abuse our rights of freedom and cause harm to others and ourselves. For the evil acts committed
by man, there are great consequences. Suffering, above all, will be faced by God in order to challenge man to move freely toward moral
perfection. Nonetheless, Allah forgives all those who accept responsibility for their actions; man is once again relieved of impurities. God is all
merciful. Yes, one does wrong, but when one is truly sorry, Allah will forgive man, for Allah is just and benevolent. The concept of Ethics is
however, not new to my understanding, but I think of this reflection to be one that will broaden my spectrum of moral action of world religions other
than my own. The basis or foundation of moral action resides in the Qur 'an and Sunna. Moreover, the Qur 'an leads the way for developing a moral
lifestyle in compliance with Allah. The Qur 'an shows man a passageway to reality, to a complete and forgiving world. Furthermore, the Qur 'an and the

very foundations it is based on. These five principles, in Arabic, are Sawm, Zakat, Hajj, Salat, and Shahada. The English meanings are Fasting, Charity,
Pilgrimage, Prayer, and Testimony of Faith, respectively. The intention of fasting is to submit to Allah (God) for as long as humanly possible, which is

The branch of psychology that this paper will be referencing is Clinical Psychology. Clinical Psychology is used for the diagnosis and treatment of
mental or behavioral disorders. One important theory in psychology is Kohlberg's Theory of Moral Development, which describes six stages within
three levels of moral development from childhood to adulthood. This theory also states that moral development continues until death, or that humans
are always morally developing. The three levels are: pre–conventional, conventional, and post–conventional. Each level has two stages, respectively:
obedience and punishment, individualism, instrumentalism, and exchange, "good boy/girl", law and order, social contract, and principled
conscience. To summarize, each level brings a new awareness of how our actions and words affect ourselves and others. Kohlberg has said the third
level is not usually reached by adults. It is "an understanding of social mutuality and a genuine interest in the welfare of others." The other theory that
will be contextually important here is Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. It describes five different human needs in order to achieve stability, and these are
ordered from basic to more complex needs: physiological, safety, love/belonging, esteem, and self–actualization. A disruption of any of these needs can

in most cases, indicates to Islamic knowledge or matters related to Sheree'ah (Islamic Law). Although, some of the Quranic verses in this article refer
to Islamic knowledge, yet they are general in their meaning, and thus can be used to refer to learning in general.
The importance of education is a none disputable matter. Education is the knowledge of putting one 's potentials to maximum use. One can safely say
that a human being is not in the proper sense till he/she is educated.
This importance of education is basically for two reasons. The first is that the training of a human mind is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the battle of Badr in which the Prophet gained victory over his opponents, seventy people of the enemy rank were taken prisoner. These prisoners
of war were literate people. In order to benefit from their education the Prophet declared that if one prisoner teaches ten Muslims how to read and
write, this will serve as his ransom and he will be set free. We can freely say that this was the first school in the history of Islam established by the
Prophet himself with all its teachers being non–Muslims. Furthermore, they were all war prisoners.
On the one hand Islam places great emphasis on learning, on the other, all those factors which are necessary to make progress in learning have been
provided by Allaah. One of these special factors is the freedom of research. One example of it is that in Makkah, the birthplace of the Prophet dates
were not grown. Afterwards the Prophet migrated to Madeenah, the city of dates. One day the Prophet saw that some people were atop the date trees
busy in doing something. On being asked what they were engaged in, they replied that they were pollinating.
The Prophet suggested them not to do so. The following year date yield was considerably very low. The Prophet enquired them of the reason. They told

ISLAM, RELIGION OF EQUALITY. Islam, a derivative of Arabic word "Saleema" signifying peace and submission has, since ancient times,
offered equality for all human being irrespective of race, gender, ethnicity or color. A series of Prophets were send after Adam with a message of love
and equality for one another and believe in the unity of God. The last great messenger before Muhammad was Jesus. Mentioned twenty five times in
the Quran, Jesus is called the Messiah, the son of a virgin, and one who brought great signs from God. His message, the Gospel, is confirmed and
described as consistent with the messages of all prophets. (Sonn, Tamara.Islam. Wiley. 2015). When the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
From the life of the Last Prophet, there are many incidents in his life, where people can learn many things and can help humanity to help one another,
to appreciate one another and to create a society where everyone is treated equally.
From one of the famous inspiring incidents, a companion of the Last Prophet Muhammad, his name was Abu Zar Ghaffari, he had a little altercation
with a worker, whose mother was from Africa, who was dark in color. In that altercation, the companion said one sentence as they were arguing, the
companion says "O son of a black woman". The worker immediately went to the Last Prophet Muhammad and complained on what the companion
had said to him. After the Prophet met with Abu Zar, he confronted him by asking about the altercation. The prophet did not repeat the same words
because it was a serious matter and the prophet did not want to even repeat those words. He told the Prophet that everything you mention in the
altercation is true. Then the Last Prophet Muhammad said:" O Abu Zar, you are a man, who still have the qualities in you from the period of
ignorance, before Islam, where people used derogatory terms to their fathers, mothers or one another. This is a major sin." That's why, whether a

Similarities Between Islam And Mormonism
Islam and Mormonism
Islam and Mormonism are two monotheistic religions whose origins go back to Abraham, but were founded within the last 1500 years. There are many
similarities between the religions, and of course, many differences.
The Qur'an is the sacred text of Islam. Muslims believe that Muhammad, at twenty–three years of age, received revelation from God over the next
twenty–three years through the angel Gabriel. Muslims view the Qur'an as God's final revelation and would not accept any other revelations. They
believe that Muhammad was the final prophet. For most Muslims, the Qur'an is only really the sacred word of God if it is in Arabic. Muslims believe
that the current Qur'an is exactly the same as what was revealed to Muhammad ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Mormonism, there is something similar to the Five Pillars of Islam in that they have a list of beliefs that they see as their main or most important
beliefs which are listed in the Thirteen Articles of Faith. The most important of those articles of faith would be Mormonism's version of the Five
Pillars of Islam. The first article of faith is probably the most important one: that we believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus
Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. The next "Pillar of Mormonism" would be the second article of faith in my opinion: that we believe that men will
be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam's transgression. The next Pillar of Mormonism would be the third article of faith:that we believe
that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel. The next and in my
opinion, the most important of all our articles of faith is the fourth one: that we believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are:
first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for
the gift of the Holy Ghost. You could also break that article of faith up and say that the four ordinances and principles listed in the fourth article of
faith are four of the "Pillars of Mormonism". The last Pillar of Mormonism would be that we believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is
translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. This is important because it sets us apart from other religions,
especially other Christian religions. There are many beliefs in Mormonism and many beliefs in Islam, and just as the Five Pillars of Islam outline the
most important beliefs of Islamic belief, the Thirteen Articles of Faith outline the most important and basic beliefs of Mormonism. The Five Pillars of

Does Art Affect Life, Or Does Life Reflect Islamic Art?
Does art reflect life, or does life reflect art? One might say it goes both ways, maybe even taking the stance that there is a constant flow between the
two claims. Islamic art, however, seems to reflect life, and the way it affects the Muslim life and beliefs. Islam was founded in the early Seventh
Century near the indus river. Its belief system consists of five main doctrines: belief in absolute monotheism, angels, the prophets, the Qur'an, and the
final day of judgement. These doctrines are extremely important to to the Muslim faith, and are represented in Islamic art. Islamic Art reflects the
Muslim faith through its visual depiction of its five central beliefs. To understand how Islamic art reflects the Muslim faith, it is first necessary to
understand the five main beliefs of islam, which are the core structures that hold the religion together. The first doctrine is the belief in absolute
monotheism, or that Allah is the one true God (Horn). The second doctrine, which aligns with the first, is the belief in angels and the inherent
goodness of all except Iblis who is comparable to the Christian Satan (Horn). The third doctrine is the belief in prophets, of which Muhammad is the
last. Prophets were separated into two classifications: Rasuls and Nabis. Yet, no matter the classification all prophets were meant to be noble people of

Islam 's Views On Islam
Since the7th Century, Islam has been one of the fastest growing religions in the world. The people who believe in the principles of Islam and practice
its rituals are called Muslims. Second only to Christianity in the number of its followers, Muslim's make up a huge part of the world population with
over 1 billion worshipers. Islam is a monotheistic religion which means the belief in one God. This is the same belief system as Judaism and
Christianity. According to Islamic belief, God sent a series of revelations down to "prophets" over the course of time. These revelations included those
received by Moses and the Christian Prophet, Jesus. Islam holds both Moses and Jesus in high regard. However, Muslims believe that these revelations
were somewhat corrupted, and were mixed with human ideas. Muslims believe that God sent his true and divine messages to Muhammad ibn Abd Allah
, who was born in 570 A.D. and grew up in the Arabian town of Mecca. (Gordon, p. 10) These messages received by the now Prophet Muhammad in
approximately 610 A.D., would eventually form the Qur'an and be the Holy Book for Muslims. After the Prophets death in 632 A.D., Islam spread
rapidly throughout the world. (Magida, p. 175) After a series of military conquest, Islam was governed with proficiency and flexibility. Non–believers
in the conquered territories became increasingly interested in the new religion and accepted Islam in great numbers. The most important Muslim

The Birth of Muhammad and Islam
The Islamic religion is not only a religion, but a complex lifestyle full of dynamic truth which has a past that spans over fourteen centuries. It's history
encompasses the ancient spirits of people from North Africa as far as Malaysia. Islam is also one of the youngest major religions as the "Qur'an "came
down" to Muhammad six centuries after Jesus, so that a large portion of the developed world which it soon overran had been evangelized for
centuries" (Burrell 1). Although Islam was budding, it has grown into one of the world's largest religions having a following of over one billion.
Islam is known to be the fastest growing faith worldwide, and in recent years has made striking advances in North America (3). "The rapid expansion
of the community of Believers after Muhammad's death has its roots in the events of the last years of his life" ( Donner 92). Islam can be abridged
into three timeframes that are as follows; The Time of Ingratitude, Muhammad 's life and story, and the organizations and laws that were created after
the demise of the prophet.
The holiest declaration or "Shahada" in Islam is "There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger" (Fieser 373). Islam found its origins in
Arabia and it takes after every one of the standards given by God which were translated through Muhammad. Muslims on the other hand, are the

Compare And Contrast Christianity And Islam
There are an estimated two billion people on earth professing to be Christians and follow the teachings of Jesus and God. An estimated one billion,
three hundred million people on earth profess to be Muslim and follow the teachings of Muhammad and Allah. (http://www.religionfacts.com/islam
/comparison_chartsislam_judaism_christianity.htm) Both are monotheistic religions, both agree in the existence of prophets, and both religions follow
certain rituals in worshipping their particular God. Christianity and Islam produce the largest number of devout followers on earth, and when compared
are very similar to one another.
Christianity began before Islam in approximately 30 A.D. Christians believe in the existence of one supreme God, creator of the universe, who
remains involved in the events on earth through the actions of his believers. The Christian theory of creation proposes God created the earth and
universe in six days and rested on the seventh, known as the Sabbath, a day to rest and worship God. Man and woman were created on the sixth day,
named Adam and Eve, and placed in a paradise–like location on earth known as the Garden of Eden. God specifically prohibited them from eating the
fruit of a particular tree from the garden, referred to as the tree of knowledge. Tempted by a serpent, they both ate the fruit and immediately became
aware of human conditions, such as being naked. When God discovered what they had done he banished them from the garden, leaving the couple to

The Qur ' an, the last revealed Word of God, is the prime source of every Muslim's faith and practice. It deals with all the subjects who concern us as

provides guidelines for a just society, proper human conduct and an equitable economic system. The ' Five Pillars ' of Islam are the framework of the
Muslim life: faith, prayer, concern for the needy, self–purification, and the pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able. Muslims believe that there is

maps in the beginning that help the reader to get a better idea of the geography of the area in the past times along with genealogical charts that give a
clear picture of Muhammad's gene . It's a well written book for an intelligent person who wishes to be informed.
The main idea or it can be called an argument that Armstrong put forth was to break the wrong image of the west about the Holy Prophet. She starts
describing Muhammad's rising success as a skilled and respected politician; Armstrong mentions that the Christian world has always judged this part of
the prophet's life with distrust. The Western view has traditionally seen Muhammad's political success as proof that he was an impostor using religion
as a means to power. To explain this attitude, Armstrong offers the following insight:
"Because the Christian world is dominated by the image of the crucified Jesus, who said that his kingdom was not of this world, we tend to see failure
and humiliation as the hallmark of a religious leader. We do not expect our spiritual heroes to achieve a dazzling success in mundane terms." (p. 164)
Armstrong depicts Muhammad (saw) in glowing colors, even when she admits his wrongdoings. In the 8th chapter, "Holy War", Armstrong recounts
the massacre and summary executions of the

How the Prophet Muhammad Spread Islam
How the Prophet Muhammad Spread Islam
Prophet Muhammad was the last prophet of Islam, he had made the biggest impact on the religion. Prophet Muhammad spread the Islamic religion
throughout most of the world. He started spreading the religion after he had received the message from Gabriel, an angel sent from God to the
Prophet. At the age of forty the message of Islam started to spread upon those who were yet to join Islam (Muhammed, the messenger of God). The
prophet did not force others into the religion, people would believe the prophet from the acts that he did. The way that he did so was done in a very
stable way that did not involve the harming of others, the Prophet had showed equality and gave the people freedom of speech when he attempted to
do so. Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) had started the spreading of Islam at the place of his birth, Mecca. Before the prophet had spread
Islam in Mecca, the main religion in the holy city was idol worshipping .In the beginning, the prophet had had quite a slow start to spreading the
religion. The prophet taught those who lived in Mecca about Islam and had not spread the word in such a public way because he was ordered not to.
He began by preaching those who were close to him, basically family members. The first believers to join the religion were Khadija (Prophet's wife)
and Ali (Family relative) (Asfaruddin). Convincing the people to join Islam was not simply by preaching. The prophet simply

The word Islam by definition means surrender and submission only to the one true creator, but Islam means a lot more than that to the Muslims. The
Prophet Muhammad founded the religion of Islam as an expression of submission to the will of Allah in the 7th century. The Quran, the sacred writings
of Islam, contains the teachings of Allah that were revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. Muslims aim to keep the Five Pillars, believe in one true God,
and they believe in a chain of prophets. Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that there is One God in three persons, but Islam doesn't
believe. Christians believe Islam should. Even though Islam and Christianity have their differences, we still have little things in common that allow
peace between religions. When Muhammad was in his forty's, the Archangel Gabriel came to Muhammad and told him to say "In the name of your
lord." This was his first revelation of many that became the starting point of the Quran. Islam was founded on the teachings of Muhammad as an

Muslims believe that Islam is a faith that has always existed and that it was progressively revealed to humanity by a number of prophets, but the final
and complete admission of the faith was made through the principal Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century.
Muhammad was born in Mecca in Saudi Arabia in 570 CE. He was an extremely spiritual man, and frequently spent time in meditation on Mount Hira.
The traditional story of the Qur'an tells how one night in 610 CE he was meditating in a cave on the mountain, when he was visited by the angel Jibreel
who ordered him to recite the words of the Qur'an revealed to him. Once Jibreel mentioned the name of Allah, Muhammad began to perform words,

Within ten years Muhammad had gained so many followers by preaching Islam's message that he was able to return and conquer Mecca. From this time
on he was generally accepted by the faithful as the genuine final Prophet of God. Muhammad continued to lead his following both spiritually and in
environmental matters until his death in 632.
Muhammad is an extremely important role model to Muslims today because he is the last Messenger of Allah and documented his words in the
Holy Book, the Qur'an. He helped guide Muslims on the religion of Islam, and his teachings modeled the 5 Pillars of Islam. His obedience and
devotion to Allah is essential and heavily taught in the teaching of Islam, and is expected to influence the necessary lifestyle of a Muslim on an
enormous scale. Because he is the prophet who brought revelation and guidance from God to mankind; he is the greatest illustration for all Muslims
to follow his way in all aspects. This is especially relevant in the Qur'an quote of Shahadah, the significant first Pillar of Islam: "There is no God but

Flaws Of The Islamic Religion
Flaws In The Islamic Religion By Kyle Lindsey
Apologetics, Mr. Sweis
July 2015
Part 1: Thesis In 1900, the world was made up of 12.3 % Muslims. In 2010, The number rose to 22.5% making Islam the fastest growing religion in the
entire world, exceeding even the growth rate of Christianity. The AmericanMuslim Council has estimated that there are 2,000 mosques and Islamic
community centers in the United States. More than 80% percent have been built in the past 12 years.
Is it possible then that Islam, such an attractive and fast growing religion, can be completely flawed? Yes, the religion of Islam is filled with historical,
scientific, and most importantly spiritual flaws. Answering this question is important because people are becoming more and more blind to the truth of
the Christian religion by the rapid growth of Islam. Outlining the flaws of Islam also helps to bring out the accuracy of the Christian religion.
How is it possible that Islam, the fastest growing religion, is so full of errors? Islam is growing so rapidly because many of its followers are
unaware of the extent of its corruption, and many of its followers are equally unaware of how many errors can be found throughout the Quran. One
way to show people the flaws in Islam is by slowly picking it apart and in so doing, the person is able to more clearly see the errors and parts of the

How Did The Rise And Spread Of Islam
Islam is one of the oldest and the second largest religions today, coming second to Christianity. The religion is believed to derive mostly from the
teachings of the prophet Muhammad. He was also believed to be the last prophet. Islam began in about 600 AD, around the time Muhammad was
instructed to teach the word of God in Mecca. When Muhammad was about forty years of age, he began having visions and would also hear voices.
Often enough, he would find clarity by meditating in a cave at Mount Hira (near Mecca). One day as he was meditating, he saw a light and felt
sequestered. It was the Archangel Gabriel speaking to him, revealing the first verse. This verse was the first of many that would later become the basis
of the Quran. During the pre–Islamic Arabian Peninsula, it was believed that there were multiple Gods but these revelations contradicted that belief;
proving that there existed only one God. Like other prophets, Muhammad was chosen to be the messenger of the word of God. Due to the animosity
he received, Muhammad left Mecca and went to Medina. While there, he would still receive divine revelations and began to build an expanding
community full of supporters and followers of the new faith. After years of violence due to the conflicting religions, Mecca surrendered. Muhammad
and his followers returned to Mecca after that and destroyed the pagan idols while spreading the new faith and belief in one God. After the holy Qur

The Religion Islam

  • 1. The Religion Islam | The Religion Islam| The Religion Islam What is Islam? The word Islam means submission to the will of God. The religion of Islam is the acceptance of and obedience to the teachings of God which the Muslims–followers of Islam–believe God revealed to his last prophet. Muslims believe that there is only one God. The Arabic word for God is Allah which means, the one and only true God who created the whole universe. According to Muslims, God sent a number of prophets to mankind to teach them how to live according to His law. To the Muslims, Jesus, Moses and Abraham are respected as prophets of God. Muslims believed in the prophets as messengers of God, but according to their beliefs, God's final message to man was revealed by the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The fifth belief of the Muslims is to believe in the Day of Judgment. Muslims believe in the Day of Judgment which is the day of resurrection, when all people will be resurrected for God's judgment according to their beliefs and deeds. The last belief of the Muslims is to believe in Al–Qadar. Muslims believe in Al–Qadar, which is divine predestination, but this belief in divine predestination does not mean that human beings do not have free will. Rather, Muslims believe that God has given human beings free will. This means that they can choose right or wrong and that they are responsible for their choices. The belief in Divine Predestination includes belief in four things: God knows everything. He knows what has happened and what will happen, God has recorded all that has happened and all that will happen, whatever God wills to happen happens, and whatever He wills not to happen does not happen and God is the creator of everything. Muslims believe the Sunnah is the practical example of the Prophet Muhammad and that there are five basic pillars of Islam. The Five Pillars of Islam are the five obligations that every Muslim must fulfill in order to live a good and responsible life according to Islam. These pillars are the confession of faith, praying five times a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Christianity makes up a gaping Thirty percent of the worlds population, while Islam takes up about Twenty– Five percent of the worlds population. Together that makes up about half of the worlds population. • 3. The Prophet, Muhammad, Islam The prophet, Muhammad founded Islam in 622 C.E. at the Arabian Peninsula. Judaism and Christianity both originate in Palestine, but Judaism commenced over 3,500 years ago while Christianity found its beginning in 33 C.E. Christianity was created by Christ, the son of God, while Abraham was the man credited with founding Judaism. Assuredly, albeit Judaism,Christianity and Islam were founded in divergent times, the religions still hold similarities in beliefs and teachings. However, differentiations are still present and significant. In ancient times the religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam were founded. Admittedly, the religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam hold coinciding components as well as differing sectors; including the afterlife, political views, and their gods. To a degree Judaism and Christianity are fairly similar, withal possessing variations. For instance, both theologies hold devotion and loyalty to a single deity. Judaism, and Christianity both are monotheistic religions dedicating their allegiance to God. Moreover, the texts of both religions are comparable. The most sacred Jewish reference is the Bible, comprising of the Jewish Bible and the New Testament. The Christian Bible is constructed from the Old and New Testament. Thus, the two contrasting religions exemplify the same text, The New Testament. Politically speaking, in both spiritualities the religion is separate from the state, or government. • 4. Essay about Islam has Raised the Status of Women "The dowry, previously regarded as a bride–price paid to the father, became a nuptial gift retained by the wife as part of her personal property" (Fanar). This quote sums up the transition of women from being property to an individual person. Women used to be sold and purchased, but Islam raised the status of the women within a society that never thought much of the female. In the past, certain societies believed marriage was nothing more than a status symbol. Women were thought of producing children and establishing a man's family tree. During pre–Islamic Arabia, women had no rights and were not considered equal members of society. They were given no respect, and discarded when men grew tired of them. Women were considered lower than... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "Islam grants woman equal rights to contract, to enterprise, to earn and possess independently. Her life, her property, her honor are as sacred as those of man. If she commits any offense, her penalty is no less or more than of man's in a similar case. If she is wronged or harmed, she gets due compensations equal to what a man in her position would get" (Qur'an 2:178; 4:45, 92–93). The Qur'an states that women are given the right to participate in business and to own things independently, which is a very important statement. This verse shows that women are considered independent from a man, and are free to do as they please in an Islamic manner. Furthermore, it goes on to states if a women makes any kind of mistake, its punishment will be of equal measure to a man. When it comes to work, women are given a choice to work or not. Also, if they decide to work, their money is for them to keep and they do not have to use it toward financial expenses (Badawi). Islam changed the status of women in Arabia when it came to owning land and working. Before Islam was preached in Arabia, women were not given a choice who they were to marry; usually ending up being forced into a marriage. They were basically sold off to a suitor, and their previous family identity was stripped away from them. They became dependent on their husband, and given very little chances at freedom. However, Islam aimed to change the injustice by allowing women to have a choice in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. The Between Islam And Middle Eastern Countries America is predominantly known as the melting pot of the world. It has cultivated a variety of populations in search for a "new life." People from a variety of religions, races, and ethnicities live in this country and call it their home. People whom identify as Muslims are one of the many groups of people who live, work, and worship here. Since we live in a country where there are multiple religions and races, it is important that we learn their customs and culture. Muslims most commonly originate from Africa, and Middle Eastern countries. The religion of this group of people,Islam, developed in the seventh century. Islam helps put life into perspective and gives hope to the hopeless . The beliefs of Islam revolve around the Quran, which was written by the prophet Mohammad (Rippin, 2012 p. 5). As stated by Armstrong (2012), the formation of Islam can be summarized as, "a narrative that tells of the revelations given to the Prophet, the migration to Medina, the battles of the early community, the return to Mecca and the subsequent conquests under the Rightly Guided caliphs p. 88". The religion of Islam that Muslims identify with is fairly new as compared to other religious such as Judaism and Christianity. The Quran holds three basic teachings; through law, the previous prophets ( Mohammed), and the final judgment ( Enlightment). Some of this parallels to what Christians refer to as the Doctrine and Bible of Christ. While many figures and stories found in the Quran ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Comparing The Five Pillars Of Islam The pillars of Islam are based off the prophets, and they all build the fundamentals to being a Muslim. The five pillars of Islam include Faith (Shahada), Prayer (Salat), Charity (Zakat), Fasting (Sawm), and Pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj), the five pillars are the framework of the entire faith (Ayoub 2017). Muslims believe that the pillars came to be at the time of the prophet, what bestowed the religion to them, and the five pillars helped the religion succeed after the prophet's death (Ayoub 2017). These pillars symbolized attribution to the prophets in the orthodox faith and to others a person's admission into the Muslim community. The pillars were created for acts of devotion and practices for the Muslim faith (Ayoub 2017). Although the pillars are based on the Muslim faith, some beliefs relating to the pillars show in other religions. Faith, prayer and fasting are a few of the pillars of Islam but they are not exclusive to only Muslims, they are also present within Christian beliefs and practices. The first pillar of Islam is Shahada, also known as faith, which in the Arabic language means testimony. Shahada holds two key parts, one being that nothing deserves to be worshiped except Allah, and the second being that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah (Mufti 2006). These two key parts are the testimony to the Muslim faith, and every Muslim must make that declaration before joining the community (Mufti 2006). • 7. Islam Is A Major World Religion The most fundamental belief in Islam is that there is no God but Allah. He is the one, the first and the last, has no partners, sons, daughters or intermediaries. Islam is a major world religion with over one billion followers worldwide. Although it's associated with the Arabs of the Middle East, Muslims are found all over the world of every nation, color, and race. Islam means submission to the will of God; comes from an Arabic root word meaning peace and submission. The origin word of Islam, "Salam", is the same that is shared with the Arabic word meaning peace and security. Peace and safety come from living life according to God's will. Crow said: "Islam signifies the safety and security experienced in acts of mutual harmony and concord between humans arising out of the inner peace between individual creatures and the Creator." To guide people, several sources have been established and explained by God through his Prophets with clear signs, which make obvious what is right and what is wrong. Peace and safety come from living life according to the God's will. Many people claimed that Islam was a political entity, meaning converts did not often spread the religion, but Islam as a political entity was spread by force and combat. Esack describes the claim about the religion, "If there is a major world religion that is unambiguously identified as having a political agenda, then it is Islam. • 8. How Did Islam Spread Islam's story, as you could probably guess, started with the prophet Muhammad. Islam first appeared in Arabia. But what was Arabia like before Islam arose? Before the rise of Muhammad and Islamic religion the Arabian Peninsula was originally the home to a group of nomadic desert dwellers who were able to deal with the harsh desert climate by "migrating" every season. In the fifth century BC more people groups began establishing settlements, many chose Mecca, by the west coast of Saudi Arabia. This location did not provide a preferable climate or many natural resources, but was the site of a large cubical shrine dedicated to various deities, this was called the site of Ka'ba. The beginning of Islam can be traced all the way back to Saudi Arabia in the 7th century. It is believed that Islam was actually introduced 610 A.D. (A.D. stands for the Latin phrase anno domini, which means ВЁin the year of our LordВЁ). Muhammad introduced Islam after claiming that he experienced what he believed to be an angelic visitation. Muhammad then dedicated the holy book of Islam known as QurВґan. This is the beginning of Islam according to Secular History. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 9. The Prophet Muhammad : The Father Of Islam "Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets. Indeed, Allah knows about all things." (Quran 33:40) Who is Muhammad? As mentioned in the Quran in chapter 33, sura Al–Ahzab verse 40, Muhammad is the final messenger of Allah to spread and teach Islam. He was also mentioned as the seal of the prophets which marks the end of all prophets. Muhammad was born in Mecca, western Arabia in the year 570, and was brought up by his uncle Abu Talib, head of the Hashim clan of the respected tribe of Quraysh (Donner, 2007). Although Prophet Muhammad was illiterate as mentioned in chapter 7, sura Al–A'raf verse 157, he was still chosen by Allah to preach about Islam as he was honest, trustworthy, generous, truthful, and sincere: "(Who are the ones to whom my mercy will extend? It is for) those (Jews and Christians) who follow the Messenger, the unschooled Prophet, whom they will find mentioned in their own (scriptures) – in the Torah and the Gospel – for he will command them to do what is recognized (as right) and forbid them from doing what is unfamiliar (to god's good way of life). (The Messenger of Allah) will allow them (to partake of) what is pure and forbid them from what is unclean..." (Quran 7:157). • 10. Five Pillars Of Islam Arkhan al Islam or the five pillars of faith are the foundations of Islam which govern the everyday actions and practices of Islamic adherents around the world. These core teachings of Islam are essential in order for Muslims to be able to efficiently express and practice their beliefs. Adherents are expected to follow these pillars as it is stated in the Qur'an, believed to be the direct word of Allah, revealed through the revelation to the prophet Muhammad. The five pillars are a crucial part of Islam, therefore being perfect examples of expressions of faith, as they shape how the Islamic faith is lived out. Both Sunni and Shi'ia Muslims agree of the fundamentals of Islam, and carry out practicing these beliefs in similar yet slightly altered ways. By living out these pillars, adherents are showing full submission to Allah and will assist adherents in gaining a place in the afterlife. SHAHADAH: Shahadah is the Muslim declaration or testimony of faith. The words "There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad (PBUH) is His messenger." are recited in order to affirm Islamic adherents belief in Allah and in the prophet Muhammad being God's final messenger. By reciting this testimony of Islamic faith, adherents acknowledge that Allah has an exclusive right to be worshipped and only Him, as well as accepting the prophethood of Muhammad, being the last and final messenger of Allah. Social Aspects Of Islam Mohammed I have a feeling that talking about this rather sensitive topic will raise hell and will indeed upset many who actually deeply believe that their bloodline goes back to the Prophet of Islam Mohammed (PBUH). However, I strongly believe that it is about time that we talk about this phenomenon, which only congregate our ignorance and backwardness. Growing in a conservative and religious environment, many social aspects of life in Morocco did not make sense to my head, and my brain could and will never be able to digest how the vast majority of Moroccans, regardless their social status, believe that they have all a sacred lineage to the Holy House. They believe that their bloodline takes all the way back to the Prophet. This includes the rich and the poor, the educated and the illiterate; they all claim some type of holiness and show it off when opportunities occur and permit. In a previous analysis, I talked about how Islam has been widely and abusively used throughout Moroccan history to gain power and wealth. This has been proven and recorded in history books. There is no single verse in the Holy Koran that praises a ... Muslims rely on the Sunnah, the saying and actions, of a prophet. This sunnah is an idea, in the words of God written by Muhammad's deeds. They were recorded in what are called ahadith, which are news and, reports. Here is an english translation on what Muhammad reportedly said to his companions, in his teachings. Numbers 1–20 are from Volumes 1–2, and have been quoted from "Riyadh–Us–Saleheen." Volumes 3–4 were recorded by "An–Nawawi's Forty Hadith." The basic message of Islam can be summed up in the arabic expression "La ilaha illa Allah", which translates to No god but Allah: Muhammad is the prophet of Allah. The word Islam means submission, a muslim is someone who submits to God. In submitting to god, muslims must accept the 5 pillars, also known as the five pillars of Islam. The first pillar is muslims have to proclaim their belief in one god. Further, they accept that God has revealed his message to Mohammed. Muslims honor many prophets including Abraham, Moses, and Jesus. To the Muslims, Mohammed is their most important prophet, even though they honor Muhammad, they do not worship him as a God. The second pillar is prayer. Muslims are expected to pray 5 times a day and face toward the holy mecca. Adam was the first prophet to walk the earth but before he did Allah (god) had him stay in paradise (heaven) Adam like us was made out of clay for Allah (God) and tight him the names of all things for example sky trees etc. Then Allah (God) place the things before the angels and asked them to tell him the name of this things but the angels answered "you are the exalted, and we know nothing except what you have taught us" Allah then asked Adam the same question, and Adam was able to answer it correctly the Allah (God) then ordered the angels to bow down to prophet Adam and they did so. but one did not bow his name was Iblis or the shaitan. the shaitan did not want to bow to a man made out of clay he said "I am made of fire why should I bow to a person made of clay I am better" upon hearing this response, Allah threw the shaitan out of paradise but the shaitan vowed to get his revenge on prophet and his future decedents from diverting them from Allah his teachings ... • 15. The Prophet Muhammad : The Rise And Fall Of Islam The Prophet Muhammad is undoubtedly one of the single most important figures in all of history. His messages as the Prophet of God created a new community of Believers that has morphed into the second largest religion in the world, and created one of the greatest states in history, the caliphate. However, since his death 1400 years ago, his followers have struggled to define exactly how Muhammad's authority and teachings apply in their day and age (Donner xi). Was he a commanding military leader, a devout theologian, or a master legislator? Muslims throughout history have taken vastly different positions on this spectrum, yielding varied sects of Islam, and leading to the rise and fall of caliphates throughout the ages. Two good examples of this are the Kharijites and the Umayyad dynasty, who through their actions show us their opinions on the authority of the prophet Muhammad, whether as a political leader or spiritual icon. These definitions shaped the rise and fall of the Umayyad dynasty and Kharijite sect by affecting their policy towards other religions and sects of Islam. Through their arguably extreme beliefs and actions, the Kharijites show us that they firmly believed Muhammad was both a moral exemplar and spiritual master and a military leader. Their hardline beliefs led them to become a marginalized people, who were often fomenting insurrection against the caliphate. The Prophet Islam : Jesus In Islam JESUS IN ISLAM Name Course Date Jesus in Islam Jesus in Islam Jesus, referred to as Prophet Isa in Islam, is considered to be a messenger of God and al–Masih (the Messiah) in the Islam religion . Prophet Isa or Al–Masih, was sent to guide bani israil with a new scripture, al–Injil . Clearly, prophet Isa is a significant figure in the Islam, and in the Quran, He appears in 93 ayaat. According to the Quran, prophet Isa was born to Maryam as the result of virginal conception, a miraculous event, which occurred by the decree of Allah. To aid in his ministry to the Jewish people,Jesus was given the ability to perform miracles, which no other prophet in Islam has ever been credited with, all by the permission of Allah rather than of his own power. Like all prophets in Islam, prophet Isa is considered a Muslim; that all Muslim should submit to the will of Allah and obey his commands. Traditionally, the Islam faith teaches the rejection of the Trinitarian Christian view that Jesus was God incarnate or the son of God. The Quran says that prophet Isa himself never claimed to be the son of God . Furthermore, it indicates that Jesus will deny having ever claimed divinity at the last judgment, and Allah will vindicate him. The Sunni branch believed it should have been a group decision on who takes charge next, while the Shia did not agree with that and they thought that it should have went to Muhammad's cousin, Ali. The Shia is also all about free will and symbolism rather than determinism and literal attributes like Sunni. Its hard to believe groups like Al Qaeda that committed the nine eleven terrorism attacks are apart of the Sunni branch and not the Shia since we consider these attacks harshly negative and definitely not positive. Prophet Muhammad Research Paper Muhammad is widely believed by the Muslims community to be a messenger and prophet of God; most Muslims view him as the last prophet of God as taught by the Quran (Valentine 134). Muslims thus consider him the renovator of an unaffected and unique monotheistic faith of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and other prophets (Peters 9). The prophet as he was called had a social life, as a leader he had both followers and those who opposed him and all them viewed him differently. Muhammad was born in Mecca around the year 570 (Conrad). Orphaned before the age of six, the prophet became orphaned. Under the guard of his uncle Abu Talib, and began working as a merchant and also known for his honesty (Conrad). The story of how the prophet received his divine revelations is a fascinating one. According to Denffer, at the age of forty, Muhammad started to have dreams and hearing voices. In his search to understand, he would sometimes go down in the cave of Hira, near Mecca to pray. On one of these occasions, the Archangel Gabriel (Jibra'il in Arabic) showed himself to him and taught him how to read and the read "in the name of [your] lord" This was the beginning of many revelations that became the foundation of the Qur'an, the holy book of Islam. We, as free beings, tend to abuse our rights of freedom and cause harm to others and ourselves. For the evil acts committed by man, there are great consequences. Suffering, above all, will be faced by God in order to challenge man to move freely toward moral perfection. Nonetheless, Allah forgives all those who accept responsibility for their actions; man is once again relieved of impurities. God is all merciful. This theory also states that moral development continues until death, or that humans are always morally developing. The three levels are: pre–conventional, conventional, and post–conventional. Each level has two stages, respectively: obedience and punishment, individualism, instrumentalism, and exchange, "good boy/girl", law and order, social contract, and principled conscience. It's a well written book for an intelligent person who wishes to be informed. The main idea or it can be called an argument that Armstrong put forth was to break the wrong image of the west about the Holy Prophet. She starts describing Muhammad's rising success as a skilled and respected politician; Armstrong mentions that the Christian world has always judged this part of the prophet's life with distrust. The Western view has traditionally seen Muhammad's political success as proof that he was an impostor using religion as a means to power. To explain this attitude, Armstrong offers the following insight: "Because the Christian world is dominated by the image of the crucified Jesus, who said that his kingdom was not of this world, we tend to see failure and humiliation as the hallmark of a religious leader. We do not expect our spiritual heroes to achieve a dazzling success in mundane terms." (p. 164) Armstrong depicts Muhammad (saw) in glowing colors, even when she admits his wrongdoings. In the 8th chapter, "Holy War", Armstrong recounts the massacre and summary executions of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

At the age of forty the message of Islam started to spread upon those who were yet to join Islam (Muhammed, the messenger of God). The way that he did so was done in a very stable way that did not involve the harming of others, the Prophet had showed equality and gave the people freedom of speech when he attempted to do so. In 2010, The number rose to 22.5% making Islam the fastest growing religion in the entire world, exceeding even the growth rate of Christianity. The AmericanMuslim Council has estimated that there are 2,000 mosques and Islamic community centers in the United States. More than 80% percent have been built in the past 12 years. Is it possible then that Islam, such an attractive and fast growing religion, can be completely flawed? Yes, the religion of Islam is filled with historical, scientific, and most importantly spiritual flaws. Answering this question is important because people are becoming more and more blind to the truth of the Christian religion by the rapid growth of Islam. Outlining the flaws of Islam also helps to bring out the accuracy of the Christian religion. How is it possible that Islam, the fastest growing religion, is so full of errors? Islam is growing so rapidly because many of its followers are unaware of the extent of its corruption, and many of its followers are equally unaware of how many errors can be found throughout the Quran. One way to show people the flaws in Islam is by slowly picking it apart and in so doing, the person is able to more clearly see the errors and parts of the Quran that do not match up with facts of history and ... • 38. How Did The Rise And Spread Of Islam Islam is one of the oldest and the second largest religions today, coming second to Christianity. The religion is believed to derive mostly from the teachings of the prophet Muhammad. He was also believed to be the last prophet. Islam began in about 600 AD, around the time Muhammad was instructed to teach the word of God in Mecca. When Muhammad was about forty years of age, he began having visions and would also hear voices. Often enough, he would find clarity by meditating in a cave at Mount Hira (near Mecca). One day as he was meditating, he saw a light and felt sequestered. It was the Archangel Gabriel speaking to him, revealing the first verse. This verse was the first of many that would later become the basis of the Quran. During the pre–Islamic Arabian Peninsula, it was believed that there were multiple Gods but these revelations contradicted that belief; proving that there existed only one God. Like other prophets, Muhammad was chosen to be the messenger of the word of God. Due to the animosity he received, Muhammad left Mecca and went to Medina. While there, he would still receive divine revelations and began to build an expanding community full of supporters and followers of the new faith. After years of violence due to the conflicting religions, Mecca surrendered. Muhammad and his followers returned to Mecca after that and destroyed the pagan idols while spreading the new faith and belief in one God. After the holy Qur 'an, the sayings of the Prophet ...
