My Key Values
I believe an organization is only as strong as the morale of their team members. Effective leadership creates positive morale. My first leader
exceeded my expectations. He was caring, respectful, and supportive. Today, I hold these values dear to my heart. We can be successful by working
together as a team and demonstrating these key values. My Key Values I personally find caring for people creates positive energy between peers
/subordinates. As a leader, I care about your work performance and personal life. Your performance and personal life are important in accomplishing
the mission and your goals. I have learned through experience that people work harder when you care for their well–being. I've seen Soldiers push

Accomplishing the mission and you reaching your goal are my key priorities. I will provide appropriate resources needed to accomplish the mission.
Resources are defined as time, effort, knowledge, and/or material. Soldiers will know their responsibilities. I will provide Soldiers with adequate
training to accomplish their duties. Additional Expectations for Subordinates As part of the team, I don't only ask for you to embrace my key values,
but also have effective communication skills and show initiative. Effective communication is essential in being successful. Initiative builds a stronger
team. I expect all communication to be tactful. As a Leader, I will communicate my expectations in accomplishing the mission and developing your
skills. Soldiers should feel equally capable to communicate their desires and concerns. I cannot correct what is unknown, but through knowledge
anything is capable. Initiative is not helping when asked, but stepping up when not asked. I welcome you to express your ideas. I expect you to seek
out challenging positions and assignments. If we all show initiative, the load may be lighter and overcoming obstacles should be

The Professionalism In Physical Therapy: Core Values
The Professionalism in Physical Therapy: Core Values document, is an important tool used for Physical Therapist to evaluate and reflect on their
actions. As these actions are derived from the therapist's core values, which the tool categorizes as: accountability, altruism, compassion/caring,
excellence, integrity, professional duty and social responsibility. More importantly this tool gives therapist the ability to set goals and assess their
progress towards these goals with intermittent re–evaluations over time. Ultimately, leading to improved performance and continual growth as a
therapist.
As a student, I have used this tool to evaluate my future actions as a Physical Therapist while in the clinic and community. Overall, my scores ranged
from 2–5 with the average score between a 3 (occasionally). I then compared and analyzed my results with a partner. Which allowed each of us to

myself, I changed several of my scores in the Integrity category to 4's and 5's as I truly value adherence to ethical principles and professional
standards. For example, for "choosing employment situations that are congruent with practice values and professional standards", I went from a 3
(occasionally) to 5 (always). This change came about as we discussed that I would not be happy working for a company that did not have ethical and

Organizational Behavior : Motivation, Values,...
Throughout the decades, organizational Behaviour has played a very important role in the organization's success. It is a diagnostic study that focuses
on teams, motivation, values, relationships and individual goals. As society has been rapidly changing, organizations have had to adapt its own culture
for its survival. I believe understanding organizational behaviour has helped a lot of companies to stay successful in their respective market and helped
them to evolve the way they approach and treat their employees. As an organization, realizing the employees are integral to the success of the company
as well as communicating the success they achieved will help the organization to build employee's motivation, and loyalty which have a... Show more

When a manager empowers an employee, it helps the employee stay engaged in the job, and developing the future leader of the organization. As a
leader, creating an environment where employees feel comfortable, productive, empowered, and happy should be one of the most important goals to
achieve. Empowering an employee may sound simple, but it is not easy to do. Many neuroscience experiments have been done over the last decade
and they all have similar patterns of approaching employee empowerment. As long as managers understand how important open communication,
supporting employee's independence, setting clear expectations, encouraging failure and providing feedback, I strongly believe any managers can
empower their employees which will bring the success both individually and organizationally. I also strongly believe empowering the employees will
enhance employee's sense of self–sufficiency, happiness and motivation (Waytz ). Furthermore, the organizations can improve productivity through this
motivation by creating an environment of accomplishment and inclusiveness, in addition to that, it can increase productivity through better decision
making by identifying the problems. (Kleiman)
First of all, any managers can empower their direct reports through having an open communication (Daum). This is a start point of building the
relationship and trust.

Greg Fisher Business Principles
The purpose of this post is to put myself in a nursing leadership role and discuss three of Greg Fisher's (2008) business principles that are necessary to
maintain safe, quality, patient–centered care in a fiscally sound manner. The three business principles I will discuss include managing cash flow,
managing customer expectations, and setting goals (Fisher, 2008). Wynn (2016), claims that value is measured by the outcome achieved per dollar
spent. Value–based payment programs tie reimbursement to not only the quality of care provided to patients, but patient experience, as well. Therefore,
the business principles of managing cash flow, managing customer expectations, and setting goals are important to health care. These business
principles are important to me because nurses make significant contributions to the business of health care (Mason, Gardner, Outlaw, & O'Grady,
2016). First, I will discuss "managing cash flow" (Fisher, 2008). Acting as a nursing leader, I will face daily decisions regarding finance and resource
allocation, such as authorizing overtime or requesting costly unit supplies on a limited budget. Nurse managers at my workplace must authorize
overtime and monitor supply utilization as a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

patient–centeredness and expects nurses, as well as all health care providers to utilize good provider–patient communication, collaborative
decision–making, and coordination of services (SMMC, n.d.). Moreover, managing customer expectation does not end when the patient is discharged.
The patient must take what he or she learns from their health care providers to manage their care at home. Patients must understand their follow–up

Performance Management And Appraising Employee Performance
1)
At the beginning of this course, I identified performance management and appraising employee performance as two topics of interest to me. The
connection between these two topics was evident to me from the start; however I can now see how they connect too many other aspects of my role as
a supervisor. At the onset of this course, an increase in negative employee behaviour was my main reason for selecting performancemanagement, more
specifically discipline, as an area that could be improved on. However, I failed to see how my weaknesses and the organizations lack of policy were
contributing to the employee's discontent. My first goal was to create and implement a discipline policy and, using the knowledge gained through this
course as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, I failed to recognize that the company's outdated policies and job descriptions would need to be revised. Taking the time to properly define
the current role and responsibilities of the box office positions has created a strong foundation and will help to ensure the success of the appraisal
process when it is implemented.
At this point, the box office job description has been rewritten and is aligned with the positions current responsibilities, and I have identified the
performance indicators that will be used to appraise employee performance. Setting the expectations and measures has been challenging in some ways.
For example, tracking response times to emails is easily done, as there is an electronic record of these communications. However phone calls are not
tracked electronically, which makes it difficult to identify the average response time to phone messages. Because of limited resources, our organization
is not able to implement an electronic tracking system to provide this information, which means that the messages and call return times will be logged
manually in the message log. This will require ongoing cooperation from the staff, and to obtain their commitment, I have communicated the
importance of this initiative and explained how it relates to the organizations goals.

The second component of PsyCap is optimism. Optimistic individuals expect positive outcomes regardless of their capabilities (You, 2016). When
these individuals experience success, they attribute it to internal and stable processes (You, 2016). In contrast, they attribute failure to temporary,
external and unstable processes (You, 2016). Even after encountering failure, they remain motivated and move forward with positive expectations
(Gurol & Kerimgil, 2010; You, 2016). In this regard, to help cope with my situation, I could have tried to have a more positive approach towards my

The Importance Of Pursuing My Goals At Union County College
Union County College and I haven't had much experience in retrospect, nor was i very knowledged of its services and academic offerings. My

Abstract
A teacher in the classroom setting is considered a professional in that environment because they have the training and skills necessary by which to
create a setting which is conducive to learning. To aide in the establishment of a setting which is conducive to learning the teacher must create
guidelines which help to provide structure for expected behavior as well as for the dissemination of information between teacher and student.

Having an open line of communication between the educator and parent is a very important component in implementing a success classroom
management plan. Providing a plan that is simple is not only a positive for students, but it also helps parents to understand exactly what is expected of
their children in the classroom.
Behavioral Goals for Students
It is important for a classroom teacher to set behavior goals for his or her students. Behavior goals should be directly related to the classroom
management plan. Students should be expected to treat their peers and teachers with respect, show respect for classroom property, are kind and
courteous in all speech and actions, work diligently to accomplish assigned tasks, and demonstrate self–respect and honesty. Establishing clear and
consistent goals for the operation of the classroom helps to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and lends itself to alleviating
opportunities for misbehavior. As a teacher I will work to provide my students with positive goals for appropriate behavior. I will also clearly define the
consequences for misbehavior so that students understand fully the repercussions for failing to act in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the
classroom management plan.

Andre Agassi's Open Essay
In Andre Agassi's autobiography Open, Agassi provides an in–depth description of his childhood and the pressures that burdened him throughout his
life. From an early age, Agassi was primed to become the best tennis player in the world. Agassi's father, Mike, forced the sport of tennis upon him.
Andre would be forced to hit thousands of balls every day. "My father says that if I hit 2,500 balls each day, I'll hit 17,500 balls each week, and at the
end of one year I'll have hit nearly one million balls. A child who hits one million balls each year will be unbeatable" (Agassi, 28). This heavy and
inordinate workload proved to wear on Andre as his childhood went on. Agassi developed a hatred fortennis. He describes his relationship with tennis
by saying, "I hate tennis, hate it with all my heart, and I still keep playing,... because I have no choice." He goes on to say, "This contradiction
between what i want to do and what I actually do, feels like the center of my life" (27). Andre never got the chance to develop his own goals and

Reflecting on my personal and professional goals, I will never be satisfied. A fire burns deep inside of me that fuels my wants and desires in business

An issue that is hotly debated is whether kids should be playing competitive sports today with all of the expectations, or if kids should get the
benefits of playing competitive sports on a team. It's clear that overall kids should be allowed to play competitive sports and get the lifetime benefits
of playing them. Kids should be allowed to play competitive sports because they gain accountability, are dedicated, and learn how to become an

To begin with, Jim Taylor Ph.d. who teaches psychology at the University of San Francisco says, "Setting expectations for your children is an essential
responsibility of parenting. Expectations communicate messages to your children about what's important to you and establish a standard toward which
your children can strive." (Taylor, 1) This shows that expectations are just a way to motivate your kids, and not a way of creating frustration or
disappointment within your kid. It is teaching them that the expectations are something to achieve, and feel good about when you meet them.
Furthermore, Mike Edger author of Goal Setting for athletes says, "goal settings are a way of positively encouraging getting better at sports, but those
goals turn into have–to's or expectations."(Edger, 1) This shows that if a kid or parent sets a goal for the kid, it oftentimes does turn into an
expectation because of any pressure that the kid is putting on himself/herself, and expectations are healthy. To add even more fuel to the fire, Dr. G
of Competitive Advantage says, "When you know how to properly use your goals and expectations, they can help you cut through obstacles,
overcome blocks, motivate yourself to get back up after falling , ultimately, carve your athletic dream into a wonderful reality." (Dr. G, 1) This is
important to notice because if you do you can realize, expectations or goals are a way to get motivated get things done and eventually get better than

There is little interaction with my students for me to learn about their personal interests and goals. Also, I must incorporate decision–making for the
students into my course (Green & Johnson, 2010). Typically, I create all rubrics for assignments. Rubrics are created to communicate the evaluative
criteria for the assessment and empowers the students to review their own work (2010). However, in my effort to promote mastery goals, I will
begin to create rubrics with my students for performance assessments. By creating rubrics as a class, the students will be able to align the assignment
to their personal goals, standards, and learning goals (2010). Hence, I must initiate a dialogue in my classroom so that I learn about their personal
experiences, provide learning activities that are relatable to their interests, and give students an opportunity to express themselves in the evaluative

on their individual talents (McTighe & O'Connor, 2005). Typically, my assessments only consist of solving circuit problems, laboratory activities, and
an occasional research project. Thus, I need to incorporate different types of assessment such as papers and oral check–ups for my students to

The Importance Of College In College
College is a big milestone for me. There were many options for me as I graduated high school, but I chose to attend a four–year college because I
believed that that would be the best option for me. Going into college I have many thoughts, goals, and expectations. My expectations for college
have defiantly changed over the last few weeks. In four years i hope to have gained a better education and will be prepared to take on the world of
adulthood. There were many options for me as I graduated high school, but I chose to attend a four–year college because I believed that that would be
the best option for me. One of the big factors that contributed to my decision on a four–year college was getting the chance to move away from home
and be on my own. I think that moving away has been such a good thing for me and has really helped me break out of my comfort zone. By attending
The University of Tennessee at Martin, it has given me the opportunity to get super involved around campus and live up to the full college experience.
Going into college I have many thoughts, goals, and expectations. One big goal I hope to accomplish is to find a way to balance my academics,
social life, and physical health all in a productive way. My number one priority in college is my grades. I have quickly learned that college is very
different from high school for many reasons; for example, in college, your professors will not remind you of due dates coming up or when your
next test is going to be. Therefore it is up to myself/me to stay on top of all my assignments. Grades in college are certainly not given out easily
and you have to work hard for the grade you want. With that being said, I have to make sure that I am studying thoroughly for all my classes. On
another note, you can't go through college alone. You need to have a solid group of friends to be supportive of you, help you study, and to just be
there for you when you are bored. In my opinion, Having friends is a big part of succeeding in college. To accomplish part of this goal, I need to
make sure that I am making time for my friends and other activities other than studying. The last part of my goal is to maintain a physically healthy
lifestyle. If I can balance all three

One of my higher expectations is sports I expect to play high school football and baseball. Baseball wise i have to make the JV. team in order to play

What Are The Three Business Principles In Healthcare
What Business Principles are Associated with Patient and System Cost In this week's discussion board, I will discuss three business principles, and
identify their importance to healthcare. I will also discuss why I feel they are important, as well as provide examples of how my facility utilizes them.
The first business principle that I find important, is exceeding our patients' expectations (Fisher, 2008). I feel that this is important because the care that
we provide to our patients and their families should always be our top priority. While hospitalized or receiving treatment, patients should not have to
worry about not receiving the care that they deserve. At Ohio Health, the hospital system that I work for, excellence is one of the key

College Reflection
Reflection Paper Responsibilities as a member in college are the expectations of every student from college to meet their goals throughout their learning
period in order to be success. Also at the same time students should meet the expectations of a larger community and society around them.
Consequences of failing to those responsibilities may be vary. Students get their consequences based on what they did. Those consequences are for
student to deeply recognize and be aware of their mistakes. Students need to understand the expectations of the society from them and their
responsibilities within the community and what they need to do in order to be success. Some of the things that students are expected from college
such as follow the rules, make good choices and be honest. Some of the things specifically for me are do my own work, get permission before I go
into someone's room, and be successful as a person etc. College expects high level of things not only from me but every student in the college.
Respect among the student is an expectation of everybody within the college and also around the community. College also expects good performance
since it is not only an advantage to me as a student but also to the whole college. If expectations are not met, both in the college and in the society, that
means that I will meet several punishments and college will have no trust in me. One can also lose confidence from the society and family and
therefore it will have big influence on them. To sum up, it is our own responsibilities to do the right things and be a good students at anytime and
anywhere not just in college. The present students represent the future generation of a nation. It is therefore really important to educate students about
their roles in the society, and Penn State is doing well on it. The future society will be depending on the present students and how productive and how
efficient they are. The roles of students in the society are thus different from the roles of the rest of the society. Associate students with the society
enables them to understand their roles and importance to the society. When one is out of college and join the rest of the society, there is no doubt that
we will have different

Describe Levinson's Career
Point No. 1 (P) "Identity Stage" (Pp.3–4).
Point Definition: Levinson states that while developing a career, I will encounter three major career stages that are: the identity stage, generativity
stage, and consolidation stage. According to Levinson, "In the identity stage, roughly from ages 21 to 35, people are developing their track records
and acquiring skills and the conceptual knowledge to support these skills" (3). I am currently in the identity stage. The identity stage allows me to
really get to know and understand myself while figuring out what career choice I want to develop. The identity stage also helps me take on new
opportunities and gain new skills and experiences.
Why Important: The identity stage is important to me because, it is the stage where I am currently trying to define and categorize myself on who I am
trying to become. It is the stage, where I will develop my ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
3 (T). "Mentoring for Growth" (Pp. 165–166)
Point Definition: Mentors are people who provide new employees or interns with knowledge and skills in their area of expertise. Levinson states,
"Mentoring is an active creative process that demands energy and commitment invested in another person's career" (165). Mentoring is often a
two–way street between the mentor and the mentee. There has to be equal involvement and interest in order for the mentee to become successful.
Why Important: Having a mentor is important to me because, it is a way of gaining new skills and knowledge from a person who already knows all
the ropes in an organization. Mentors are there for guidance because they value mentees interest in learning and growth. If a mentor demonstrates a
positive attitude and is willing to show me everything they know, I will take advantage of their help, because they are helping me in my career
development. If I ever have a question about the organization I am working with or a problem, I can ask my mentor for guidance and solutions to
resolve whatever issue I

High Expectations Definition
What are my definition of "high expectations"?
As a future educator, I am a firm believer that having high expectations for students does have an impact on them. The first high expectation I would
set for my students is behavior. When students are respectful, the atmosphere in the classroom is positive and everything runs more smoothly. I would
also set high expectations on their academics. I would set a goal for each student and when they pass that goal I will praise them and then help them
aim higher! I believe positive feedback is very important because if you only give negative feedback to a student, it doesn't motivate them to try harder.
Plus, who doesn't love a compliment?
How does YOUR cooperating teacher maintain high expectations?

Cardiac Rehabilitation Personal Statement
During my undergraduate career, I studied Exercise Science with an emphasis in Cardiac Rehabilitation. Before graduation, I was able to perform
an internship with a Cardiac Rehabilitation facility at the Medical Center of Plano. During this time, I was able to learn about basic precautions for
Cardiac patients, generalized progressions of workouts for these patients, how to take manual blood pressure, ECG set up and monitoring. Since this
time, I have always been eager to learn more about the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Physical Therapy, as I feel this may be an area in which I
would like to specialize. Therefore, I find myself excited to begin this course to further my knowledge of the treatment and rehabilitation of patients
with cardiovascular and pulmonary dysfunctions. I feel that I must possess several things to participate and succeed in this course. First, a strong
knowledge of human anatomy and physiology (A&P), specifically, those involved with the heart, lungs and circulatory systems. Which I have obtained
through my undergraduate A&P courses, along with my graduate anatomy course here at UT Health. Secondly, the skills for taking an accurate manual

At some point in our lives we will experience going on a first date. This date could be with someone that you've known for years or with someone
you've just met. My first encounter of a first date has been by far a date that I will never forget. I wondered if my hair, makeup, and outfit were
appropriate. Most importantly, it was hard for me to conduct a conversation because I wasn't sure on what I should talk about that would make him
comfortable. I didn't want to ask millions of questions to make it seem as though it was an interview. I caught myself stuttering, talking quickly, and
felt my body temperature rise during the entire date. It was very awkward and it discouraged me from dating for awhile. Then I enrolled in an

The four supracategories were dyadic, date cycle, positive interaction expectancies, and sexual overtones. Dyadic was considered to basically just be a
date between any two people. This could pertain to couples or two people that were in a previous relationship. While date cycle is the behavior aspects
of a date that focuses on enjoyment and to reduce uncertainty. Positive interaction expectancies insist that partners should date in an environment that is
suitable for interacting. An environment that is relaxed and social so that it can be appropriate for communication and openness to occur. Lastly, a
sexual overtone is a date where romantic relationships develop and it could include sexual expectations. We all have different ideas on what a date
could be. Therefore, it is best to prepare for a date than to go into it uncertain. A date could be with a potential boss, coworker, or possibly a future
spouse. It is always best to decrease uncertainty and increase predictability. You feel more comfortable when you know atleast one thing about the
person you are about to interact with.
First Date Goals
Going into a first date we all set goals for ourselves in order to achieve them and hopefully get to a second date. According to Mongeau (2007), "by
far, the most frequent first date goal was reduce uncertainty" (p.536). There are numerous ways to reduce uncertainty on a first date. To begin with,

Creating A Positive And Productive Classroom Environment
INTRODUCTION Creating a positive, productive classroom environment can be really hard, especially for new teachers. Without good behavior
management, students cannot learn to their full potential. When I have a classroom of my own, I will have several behavior goals for my students. I
want to set up a classroom contract that lists all of the classroom expectations and one of my main goals is to have students follow this contract. I also
want my students to respect one another and me and take ownership of their behaviors. Another behavior goal is to have my students focus on their
own work and to not disturb the other students who are learning. No matter what grade I teach, another goal of mine is to have my students behave,
even when I ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I want my students to have a huge role when it comes to deciding which expectations we should put in the contract and also in other decision–making
situations (Kohn). I feel that it is important to create a classroom contract that the students help create because they are more likely to follow the
expectations if they helped make them up. Creating a physical classroom contract that I can hang up in the classroom will also be a great reminder for
students throughout the year. I think following the Golden Rule (Coloroso) will also be an effective management technique because students will
know that they should respect one another and that if they are respectful to me, I will be just as respectful to them. This also allows me to be a role
model for my students by showing them how to behave properly in the classroom without creating distractions. For example, I plan on using quiet
voice when talking to students individually, respecting their personal space, and speaking kindly and respectfully to my students. When it comes to
leadership, I want my students to know that I am in charge, but not be an authoritarian (Canter). I want my students to know that I will be strict about
following the classroom expectations, but also that I care about them and that they come to me when they are having problems or just need someone to
talk to. I want my students to understand that I am their teacher first and their friend second. I want to show them compassion

My Classroom Management Plan Essay
Classroom Management Plan A. Theoretical Introduction Philosophy of classroom management My philosophy of classroom management is
characterized by a teacher–centered approach. I believe that the teacher is the leader of the classroom and should determine the learning needs of the
students. To have an effective classroom management, I would begin the school year by dedicating some time in educating my students on the class
rules, expectations, and consequences. I would strictly emphasize that these rules, expectations, and consequences are to create a pleasing and
productive learning environment. I would use logical consequences with those students who choose not to follow the rules and expectations, and...

As a future high school teacher, my duty will be to motivate, give advice, and help my students discover who they are. Young people built knowledge
through observations and experiences, and they are faced with many challenges. This is an age where they are learning about the world around them
and who they are, and at the same time they have to concentrate on their education if they want to have successful lives. Besides going to school to be
better prepared for the future, young people want their basic needs, love and belonging, power, competence, freedom, and fun, to be met in school. I
want my classroom to be a place where the students' basic needs will be met, so that they will be well prepared to learn and develop knowledge. As
the teacher, I want to be my students' mentor who will guide and support them as they develop both physically and mentally.
A discussion of theorist that clarify my perspective The theoretical perspectives of Linda Albert, Lee and Marlene Canter, and Rudolph Dreikurs clarify
my perspective on classroom management. These theorist's theories can be classified as teacher–centered, and they focus on how to deal with students'
misbehavior. I think it is extremely important to know how to manage a student's misbehavior, so that we can have a pleasing learning environment.
Albert believes that students

Preventative Feedback Paper
I found preventative feedback under interpersonal communication to be the most important concept from module three. Preventative feedback is
feedback you give that zeros in on the prevention of negative behaviors. We accomplish this by letting our subordinates know what is expected of
them, and the repercussions of what will happen if the standards aren't adhered to. I feel this concept is the most pertinent to me because, it's crucial
that we establish the expectations and standards for our subordinates. There are three basic ways to apply the preventative feedback concept. First,
perform it in the means of an initial feedback, and as the midterm feedback. By performing it in these two instances it provides an initial baseline of
standards

Pep Reflection Essay
PEP Reflection. As I finished up my community placement I had a look at some of the things I had done over the course of the placement and
realised how different it was to my expectations. It had identified issues I had with my practice and showed me different ways on how I could
address them. After 4 weeks in a community nursing role I began to feel more comfortable with the expectations placed on me as a community nurse.
I would have enjoyed a longer placement to further expose me to some of the other issues that arise with some of the clients but I felt that 4 weeks
was long enough to get me familiarised with what is expected of community nurse and how I can implement the skills I have gained in to other settings.
In my PEP plan I came up with a few goals that I wanted to achieve by the end of the placement. I have met most of the goals I had planned but I
would still say that I need to go further in depth in some of those areas because of the wealth of information available takes a while to assimilate and

The Importance Of The Motivation Of Workers With Hopes Of...
While studies indicate many workers are dedicated to the task at hand, new studies are being conducted to evaluate how to increase the motivation of
workers with hopes of increasing productivity. A professional competency detrimental to productivity is goal setting. The technique of goal setting is
used to reward, or provide incentives to employees for their time and dedication. A competency is described as "Building on prior definitions, we
propose that professional competence is the habitual and judicious use of communication, knowledge, technical skills, clinical reasoning, emotions,
values, and reflection in daily practice for the benefit of the individual and community being served" (Ronald & Edward, 2002). While the list of
competencies is important when evaluating an employee's role, the competencies in a professional workplace help provide awareness and improvement
from both the employee and the company while contributing to growth and resolutions. Goal setting skills are conducive to productivity because
providing motivations, employee goals, or organizational goals allows employees and managers the opportunity to appreciate, implement procedures,
and contribute to the overall function of a company or workplace.

motivation. At my current profession of choice, which is medical billing for Workers Compensation, managers and

Graduation Speech : Becoming A College Student
Growing up in my family, my parents always had higher expectations for me than they did for my brothers. I've spent much of my life taking it a

cases proving yourself as worthy has a slight chance of granting acceptance into society. When I did well in school and wanted to share my

Like many things, most pleasant experiences must come to an end, such things to consider would be a community college. I believe in progression and

My Reflection Of My Experience In The English Class
As a student that has been through the English W131 class, I feel entitled to share the tips and tricks, as well as my experiences, with you. Tracy's
class is un–like any other class you have ever taken or ever will take. I say this because I went into this class expecting an English class that was
taught exactly like my high school classes, but I was quickly and pleasantly surprised on how this English class was different.
Some of the work that you complete in the English W131 class will challenge you, but that's okay because that is what Tracy is trying to do. She is
trying to show you your strengths and weaknesses, so in the future you can work on your weaknesses while embracing your strengths. One of the
assignments that really taught me my strengths and weaknesses was the project 2 draft. We were to write a draft where we explained an issue in our
community that we felt strongly about, but within this paper we were not allowed to have stance on the topic. After reading some of the feedback
from this assignment I quickly saw that keeping stance out of my papers is extremely difficult for me, but it showed me an area that I need to work on
for the future. One of the assignments that I enjoyed doing was writing a where I'm from poem. This was a poem that told a short story about where
we are from and where we are today. This assignment allowed me to reflect on my past and be thankful for what I have, but also taught me how to
write a well put together poem that could tell a story.
Another aspect of this course that was different to me, was the fact that we were given very specific course goals that we must complete along our
path in that class. You will also frequently visit these goals and evaluate yourself on how well you believe you are achieving these goals. For
example, one of these goals was, develop meaningful questions to engage in inquiry. This is pretty much saying that one of our goals is to think of well
thought out questions that we can ask during class in order to move your writing, as well as the class's writing forward. Now you might be thinking,
well course goals are just suggestions, but I am here to tell you that you need to take these goals seriously. These goals are what will guide you

Aristotle And Dante's Inferno Literary Analysis
Aristotle and Dante discover the secret of growing up, most specifically the secret of "expectations". Ari and Dante learn that if they have faith and
trust in the expectations they have for themselves and the expectations there family and peers give them. It will only positively impact themselves as
people. They learn expectations should be followed because they are small goals that turn you into the type of person you want to become later in life.
In the book, Ari and Dante learn that growing up is hard but everyone must go through it. Everyone has expectations they are expected to complete
whether it's from your family, friends, coaches, or yourself. Aristotle is expected to make friends, get out of the house more, and he expects himself ...

If I didn't have personal goals, I wouldn't be the person I am today. In this quote Ari says, "Everyone expected something from me. Something I just

My Key Values

  • 1. My Key Values I believe an organization is only as strong as the morale of their team members. Effective leadership creates positive morale. My first leader exceeded my expectations. He was caring, respectful, and supportive. Today, I hold these values dear to my heart. We can be successful by working together as a team and demonstrating these key values. My Key Values I personally find caring for people creates positive energy between peers /subordinates. As a leader, I care about your work performance and personal life. Your performance and personal life are important in accomplishing the mission and your goals. I have learned through experience that people work harder when you care for their well–being. I've seen Soldiers push themselves to run... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Accomplishing the mission and you reaching your goal are my key priorities. I will provide appropriate resources needed to accomplish the mission. Resources are defined as time, effort, knowledge, and/or material. Soldiers will know their responsibilities. I will provide Soldiers with adequate training to accomplish their duties. Additional Expectations for Subordinates As part of the team, I don't only ask for you to embrace my key values, but also have effective communication skills and show initiative. Effective communication is essential in being successful. Initiative builds a stronger team. I expect all communication to be tactful. As a Leader, I will communicate my expectations in accomplishing the mission and developing your skills. Soldiers should feel equally capable to communicate their desires and concerns. I cannot correct what is unknown, but through knowledge anything is capable. Initiative is not helping when asked, but stepping up when not asked. I welcome you to express your ideas. I expect you to seek out challenging positions and assignments. If we all show initiative, the load may be lighter and overcoming obstacles should be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. The Professionalism In Physical Therapy: Core Values The Professionalism in Physical Therapy: Core Values document, is an important tool used for Physical Therapist to evaluate and reflect on their actions. As these actions are derived from the therapist's core values, which the tool categorizes as: accountability, altruism, compassion/caring, excellence, integrity, professional duty and social responsibility. More importantly this tool gives therapist the ability to set goals and assess their progress towards these goals with intermittent re–evaluations over time. Ultimately, leading to improved performance and continual growth as a therapist. As a student, I have used this tool to evaluate my future actions as a Physical Therapist while in the clinic and community. Overall, my scores ranged from 2–5 with the average score between a 3 (occasionally). I then compared and analyzed my results with a partner. Which allowed each of us to further our level of understand about how we determined our scores. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For myself, I was very sparing with my 4's and 5's; as I did not want to overestimate myself as a clinician. Meanwhile, my partner had high expectations and rated herself a 5 on most categories. After this discussion, we both sat back and re–evaluated our assessment for critiquing. For myself, I changed several of my scores in the Integrity category to 4's and 5's as I truly value adherence to ethical principles and professional standards. For example, for "choosing employment situations that are congruent with practice values and professional standards", I went from a 3 (occasionally) to 5 (always). This change came about as we discussed that I would not be happy working for a company that did not have ethical and professional standards that matched ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Organizational Behavior : Motivation, Values,... Throughout the decades, organizational Behaviour has played a very important role in the organization's success. It is a diagnostic study that focuses on teams, motivation, values, relationships and individual goals. As society has been rapidly changing, organizations have had to adapt its own culture for its survival. I believe understanding organizational behaviour has helped a lot of companies to stay successful in their respective market and helped them to evolve the way they approach and treat their employees. As an organization, realizing the employees are integral to the success of the company as well as communicating the success they achieved will help the organization to build employee's motivation, and loyalty which have a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When a manager empowers an employee, it helps the employee stay engaged in the job, and developing the future leader of the organization. As a leader, creating an environment where employees feel comfortable, productive, empowered, and happy should be one of the most important goals to achieve. Empowering an employee may sound simple, but it is not easy to do. Many neuroscience experiments have been done over the last decade and they all have similar patterns of approaching employee empowerment. As long as managers understand how important open communication, supporting employee's independence, setting clear expectations, encouraging failure and providing feedback, I strongly believe any managers can empower their employees which will bring the success both individually and organizationally. I also strongly believe empowering the employees will enhance employee's sense of self–sufficiency, happiness and motivation (Waytz ). Furthermore, the organizations can improve productivity through this motivation by creating an environment of accomplishment and inclusiveness, in addition to that, it can increase productivity through better decision making by identifying the problems. (Kleiman) First of all, any managers can empower their direct reports through having an open communication (Daum). This is a start point of building the relationship and trust. ... • 4. Greg Fisher Business Principles The purpose of this post is to put myself in a nursing leadership role and discuss three of Greg Fisher's (2008) business principles that are necessary to maintain safe, quality, patient–centered care in a fiscally sound manner. The three business principles I will discuss include managing cash flow, managing customer expectations, and setting goals (Fisher, 2008). Wynn (2016), claims that value is measured by the outcome achieved per dollar spent. Value–based payment programs tie reimbursement to not only the quality of care provided to patients, but patient experience, as well. Therefore, the business principles of managing cash flow, managing customer expectations, and setting goals are important to health care. These business principles are important to me because nurses make significant contributions to the business of health care (Mason, Gardner, Outlaw, & O'Grady, 2016). First, I will discuss "managing cash flow" (Fisher, 2008). Acting as a nursing leader, I will face daily decisions regarding finance and resource allocation, such as authorizing overtime or requesting costly unit supplies on a limited budget. Nurse managers at my workplace must authorize overtime and monitor supply utilization as a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Acting as a nursing leader, I would encourage the entire health care team to understand and meet a patient's expectations. My organization embodies patient–centeredness and expects nurses, as well as all health care providers to utilize good provider–patient communication, collaborative decision–making, and coordination of services (SMMC, n.d.). Moreover, managing customer expectation does not end when the patient is discharged. The patient must take what he or she learns from their health care providers to manage their care at home. Patients must understand their follow–up care and who to contact when questions arise (AHRQ, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Defined expectations and deadlines will ensure that progress is maintained amongst the numerous and diverse clinical settings. Performance Management And Appraising Employee Performance 1) At the beginning of this course, I identified performance management and appraising employee performance as two topics of interest to me. The connection between these two topics was evident to me from the start; however I can now see how they connect too many other aspects of my role as a supervisor. At the onset of this course, an increase in negative employee behaviour was my main reason for selecting performancemanagement, more specifically discipline, as an area that could be improved on. However, I failed to see how my weaknesses and the organizations lack of policy were contributing to the employee's discontent. My first goal was to create and implement a discipline policy and, using the knowledge gained through this course as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, I failed to recognize that the company's outdated policies and job descriptions would need to be revised. Taking the time to properly define the current role and responsibilities of the box office positions has created a strong foundation and will help to ensure the success of the appraisal process when it is implemented. At this point, the box office job description has been rewritten and is aligned with the positions current responsibilities, and I have identified the performance indicators that will be used to appraise employee performance. Setting the expectations and measures has been challenging in some ways. For example, tracking response times to emails is easily done, as there is an electronic record of these communications. However phone calls are not tracked electronically, which makes it difficult to identify the average response time to phone messages. Because of limited resources, our organization is not able to implement an electronic tracking system to provide this information, which means that the messages and call return times will be logged manually in the message log. This will require ongoing cooperation from the staff, and to obtain their commitment, I have communicated the importance of this initiative and explained how it relates to the organizations goals. Having an open line of communication between the educator and parent is a very important component in implementing a success classroom management plan. Providing a plan that is simple is not only a positive for students, but it also helps parents to understand exactly what is expected of their children in the classroom. Behavioral Goals for Students It is important for a classroom teacher to set behavior goals for his or her students. Behavior goals should be directly related to the classroom management plan. Students should be expected to treat their peers and teachers with respect, show respect for classroom property, are kind and courteous in all speech and actions, work diligently to accomplish assigned tasks, and demonstrate self–respect and honesty. Establishing clear and consistent goals for the operation of the classroom helps to provide an atmosphere that is conducive to learning and lends itself to alleviating opportunities for misbehavior. As a teacher I will work to provide my students with positive goals for appropriate behavior. I will also clearly define the consequences for misbehavior so that students understand fully the repercussions for failing to act in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the classroom management plan.

To begin with, Jim Taylor Ph.d. who teaches psychology at the University of San Francisco says, "Setting expectations for your children is an essential responsibility of parenting. Expectations communicate messages to your children about what's important to you and establish a standard toward which your children can strive." (Taylor, 1) This shows that expectations are just a way to motivate your kids, and not a way of creating frustration or disappointment within your kid. It is teaching them that the expectations are something to achieve, and feel good about when you meet them. Furthermore, Mike Edger author of Goal Setting for athletes says, "goal settings are a way of positively encouraging getting better at sports, but those goals turn into have–to's or expectations."(Edger, 1) This shows that if a kid or parent sets a goal for the kid, it oftentimes does turn into an expectation because of any pressure that the kid is putting on himself/herself, and expectations are healthy. To add even more fuel to the fire, Dr. G of Competitive Advantage says, "When you know how to properly use your goals and expectations, they can help you cut through obstacles, overcome blocks, motivate yourself to get back up after falling , ultimately, carve your athletic dream into a wonderful reality." There were many options for me as I graduated high school, but I chose to attend a four–year college because I believed that that would be the best option for me. One of the big factors that contributed to my decision on a four–year college was getting the chance to move away from home and be on my own. Going into college I have many thoughts, goals, and expectations. One big goal I hope to accomplish is to find a way to balance my academics, social life, and physical health all in a productive way. My number one priority in college is my grades. College Reflection Reflection Paper Responsibilities as a member in college are the expectations of every student from college to meet their goals throughout their learning period in order to be success. Also at the same time students should meet the expectations of a larger community and society around them. Consequences of failing to those responsibilities may be vary. Students get their consequences based on what they did. Those consequences are for student to deeply recognize and be aware of their mistakes. Students need to understand the expectations of the society from them and their responsibilities within the community and what they need to do in order to be success. Some of the things that students are expected from college such as follow the rules, make good choices and be honest. Some of the things specifically for me are do my own work, get permission before I go into someone's room, and be successful as a person etc. College expects high level of things not only from me but every student in the college. Respect among the student is an expectation of everybody within the college and also around the community. College also expects good performance since it is not only an advantage to me as a student but also to the whole college. If expectations are not met, both in the college and in the society, that means that I will meet several punishments and college will have no trust in me. One can also lose confidence from the society and family and therefore it will have big influence on them. To sum up, it is our own responsibilities to do the right things and be a good students at anytime and anywhere not just in college. The present students represent the future generation of a nation. It is therefore really important to educate students about their roles in the society, and Penn State is doing well on it. I want my students to have a huge role when it comes to deciding which expectations we should put in the contract and also in other decision–making situations (Kohn). I feel that it is important to create a classroom contract that the students help create because they are more likely to follow the expectations if they helped make them up. Creating a physical classroom contract that I can hang up in the classroom will also be a great reminder for students throughout the year. I think following the Golden Rule (Coloroso) will also be an effective management technique because students will know that they should respect one another and that if they are respectful to me, I will be just as respectful to them. This also allows me to be a role model for my students by showing them how to behave properly in the classroom without creating distractions. For example, I plan on using quiet voice when talking to students individually, respecting their personal space, and speaking kindly and respectfully to my students. When it comes to leadership, I want my students to know that I am in charge, but not be an authoritarian (Canter). I want my students to know that I will be strict about following the classroom expectations, but also that I care about them and that they come to me when they are having problems or just need someone to talk to. I want my students to understand that I am their teacher first and their friend second. I want to show them compassion ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. My Classroom Management Plan Essay Classroom Management Plan A. Theoretical Introduction Philosophy of classroom management My philosophy of classroom management is characterized by a teacher–centered approach. I believe that the teacher is the leader of the classroom and should determine the learning needs of the students. To have an effective classroom management, I would begin the school year by dedicating some time in educating my students on the class rules, expectations, and consequences. I would strictly emphasize that these rules, expectations, and consequences are to create a pleasing and productive learning environment. I would use logical consequences with those students who choose not to follow the rules and expectations, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As a future high school teacher, my duty will be to motivate, give advice, and help my students discover who they are. Young people built knowledge through observations and experiences, and they are faced with many challenges. This is an age where they are learning about the world around them and who they are, and at the same time they have to concentrate on their education if they want to have successful lives. Besides going to school to be better prepared for the future, young people want their basic needs, love and belonging, power, competence, freedom, and fun, to be met in school. I want my classroom to be a place where the students' basic needs will be met, so that they will be well prepared to learn and develop knowledge. As the teacher, I want to be my students' mentor who will guide and support them as they develop both physically and mentally. A discussion of theorist that clarify my perspective The theoretical perspectives of Linda Albert, Lee and Marlene Canter, and Rudolph Dreikurs clarify my perspective on classroom management. These theorist's theories can be classified as teacher–centered, and they focus on how to deal with students' misbehavior. I think it is extremely important to know how to manage a student's misbehavior, so that we can have a pleasing learning environment. Albert believes that students ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. Preventative Feedback Paper I found preventative feedback under interpersonal communication to be the most important concept from module three. Preventative feedback is feedback you give that zeros in on the prevention of negative behaviors. We accomplish this by letting our subordinates know what is expected of them, and the repercussions of what will happen if the standards aren't adhered to. I feel this concept is the most pertinent to me because, it's crucial that we establish the expectations and standards for our subordinates. There are three basic ways to apply the preventative feedback concept. First, perform it in the means of an initial feedback, and as the midterm feedback. By performing it in these two instances it provides an initial baseline of standards ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Pep Reflection Essay PEP Reflection. As I finished up my community placement I had a look at some of the things I had done over the course of the placement and realised how different it was to my expectations. It had identified issues I had with my practice and showed me different ways on how I could address them. After 4 weeks in a community nursing role I began to feel more comfortable with the expectations placed on me as a community nurse. I would have enjoyed a longer placement to further expose me to some of the other issues that arise with some of the clients but I felt that 4 weeks was long enough to get me familiarised with what is expected of community nurse and how I can implement the skills I have gained in to other settings. In my PEP plan I came up with a few goals that I wanted to achieve by the end of the placement. I have met most of the goals I had planned but I would still say that I need to go further in depth in some of those areas because of the wealth of information available takes a while to assimilate and be able to use to influence my practice. One of these areas was my goal on palliative care and their medications I had a range of conversations with my preceptor about subjects relating to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Once I was able to get past that I found areas of the placement that would help me in the long run if I was able to seize the opportunity that was presented. In some areas community nursing is very similar to nursing in the hospital and in others it couldn't be more different. Once I found these areas and got over the initial shock of the difference in settings I was able to transfer my knowledge from the hospital to the community where applicable and I was able to pick up the information and skills that I lacked in the ... • 36. The Importance Of The Motivation Of Workers With Hopes Of... While studies indicate many workers are dedicated to the task at hand, new studies are being conducted to evaluate how to increase the motivation of workers with hopes of increasing productivity. A professional competency detrimental to productivity is goal setting. The technique of goal setting is used to reward, or provide incentives to employees for their time and dedication. A competency is described as "Building on prior definitions, we propose that professional competence is the habitual and judicious use of communication, knowledge, technical skills, clinical reasoning, emotions, values, and reflection in daily practice for the benefit of the individual and community being served" (Ronald & Edward, 2002). While the list of competencies is important when evaluating an employee's role, the competencies in a professional workplace help provide awareness and improvement from both the employee and the company while contributing to growth and resolutions. Goal setting skills are conducive to productivity because providing motivations, employee goals, or organizational goals allows employees and managers the opportunity to appreciate, implement procedures, and contribute to the overall function of a company or workplace. .First, when evaluating techniques to improve productivity, studies have shown increase in production when employees were given incentives for motivation. • 38. Graduation Speech : Becoming A College Student Growing up in my family, my parents always had higher expectations for me than they did for my brothers. I've spent much of my life taking it a little too earnestly, wanting to prove myself as worthy to them. I have always wanted to be the best of the best; setting exceedingly high expectations for myself, often leading to disappointment. Today, for someone to be considered of any importance, they must prove themselves as worthy of belonging or being accepted. It seems like everyone has something to prove because of the realities of living in such a competitive society. In most cases proving yourself as worthy has a slight chance of granting acceptance into society. When I did well in school and wanted to share my achievements with my... • 39. My Reflection Of My Experience In The English Class As a student that has been through the English W131 class, I feel entitled to share the tips and tricks, as well as my experiences, with you. Tracy's class is un–like any other class you have ever taken or ever will take. I say this because I went into this class expecting an English class that was taught exactly like my high school classes, but I was quickly and pleasantly surprised on how this English class was different. Some of the work that you complete in the English W131 class will challenge you, but that's okay because that is what Tracy is trying to do. She is trying to show you your strengths and weaknesses, so in the future you can work on your weaknesses while embracing your strengths. One of the assignments that really taught me my strengths and weaknesses was the project 2 draft. We were to write a draft where we explained an issue in our community that we felt strongly about, but within this paper we were not allowed to have stance on the topic. After reading some of the feedback from this assignment I quickly saw that keeping stance out of my papers is extremely difficult for me, but it showed me an area that I need to work on for the future. One of the assignments that I enjoyed doing was writing a where I'm from poem. This was a poem that told a short story about where we are from and where we are today. This assignment allowed me to reflect on my past and be thankful for what I have, but also taught me how to write a well put together poem that could tell a story. Another aspect of this course that was different to me, was the fact that we were given very specific course goals that we must complete along our path in that class. You will also frequently visit these goals and evaluate yourself on how well you believe you are achieving these goals. For example, one of these goals was, develop meaningful questions to engage in inquiry. This is pretty much saying that one of our goals is to think of well thought out questions that we can ask during class in order to move your writing, as well as the class's writing forward. Now you might be thinking, well course goals are just suggestions, but I am here to tell you that you need to take these goals seriously. These goals are what will guide you ... Ari and Dante learn that if they have faith and trust in the expectations they have for themselves and the expectations there family and peers give them. It will only positively impact themselves as people. They learn expectations should be followed because they are small goals that turn you into the type of person you want to become later in life. In the book, Ari and Dante learn that growing up is hard but everyone must go through it.
