Tired? You know, they say that you should probably be getting more sleep than you are. But it's hard to sleep when there are crazy things going on inside your head and your heart. It's hard when you're trying to live up to a bunch of demands placed on you by others and, yes, even yourself. According to Genesis God rested on the seventh day. Here's the deal… there was never an "evening" and a "morning" - which means that God is still "resting." Resting in this case doesn't mean he's hanging out by the pool with a margarita, but more of a rest of completion. And the crazy part is, God invites us into his rest… in fact, he warns us not to miss it! You don't want to pass up this one time offer of a vacation for your soul, a rest for your soul, a sense of completion. Hebrews 4 shows us the way.

2. Therefore, while the promise of entering
his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of
you should seem to have failed to reach
it. For good news came to us just as to
them, but the message they heard did
not benefit them, because they were

3. not united by faith with those who
listened.

the Nephilim), and we seemed to ourselves

‘They shall not enter my rest,’ ”
although his works were finished from the
foundation of the world.
