1. Brandon was hungry in his evening class having not eaten since work. His stomach loudly growled, embarrassing him. 2. He left class to find food, walking along Maraval Road looking at restaurant options but finding everything too expensive, familiar, or slow. 3. At the savannah roundabout, he ran into his friend Shaniah who suggested a coconut to settle his stomach. He bought a coconut from a nearby vendor, which relieved his hunger and pain just in time for class to resume.

BRANDON
It is 6:30pm and Brandon is in class. His stomach makes a
growling sound. He remembers that he had not eaten lunch
before he left work for class.

MEDIUM WIDE: SIDE SHOT OF BRANDON AS STOMACH RUMBLES.
MEDIUM: RACK FOCUS FROM BRANDON TO THE PERSON NEXT TO HIM
CLOSE UP: FACE GRIMACING
Oh gosh I now remember I ain’t eat
for de day. Wow!!!
WIDE: FRONT OF THE CLASS. POV OF LECTURER
All the students turn around to look at Brandon
MEDIUM: BRANDON’S POV LOOKING AT CLASSMATES
Brandon knowing that it is half way through the class,
realizes that he cannot wait till 8pm when class done. He
tells himself that he must go out and find something to eat
and rush back to class.
MEDIUM CLOSE UP: OTS RACK FOCUS FROM BRANDON’S FACE TO THE
COMPUTER SCREEN. WITH CLASSMATE’S FACE LOOKING AT HIM AND
THEN RACK TO THE TIME ON THE COMPUTER SCREEN.
MEDIUM: TILT UP FOCUSING ON APPLE SYMBOL ON THE BACK OF THE
IMAC TO RACK FOCUS REVEALING BRANDON.

CORRIDOR.

Brandon bumps into someone at the main entrance.
BRANDON
Oh gosh. Sorry eh. Sorry.

EXT. NIGHT 6:45PM OUTSIDE NLC PARKING LOT
Brandon has left the class and is heading up to the savannah
looking for some fast food.
WIDE: SHOT OF OUTSIDE KEN GORDON SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM AND
COMMUNICATION STUDIES.
Brandon walks briskly down the ramp along Alcazar Street
towards Maraval Road.

EXT.MARAVAL ROAD
Brandon walks along Maraval Road looking at restaurants on
both sides of the street.
MONTAGE: MARAVAL ROAD SIGNAGE OF DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS.
Brandon weighs his options in passing all the restaurants
that line the road up to the savannah.
BRANDON
That is too expensive, ate that
yesterday, that might take too
long.

EXT. QRC ROUNDABOUT
Without realising it, he has exhausted all his options and
has reached the savannah.
WIDE: PAN LEFT TO RIGHT BRANDON’S POV.
SHANIAH, Brandon’s friend, crosses the street towards him.
MEDIUM: OTS POV OF BRANDON AS HE SEES SHANIAH CROSSING THE
STREET.
SHANIAH
Aye Brandon. Why you not in class?
BRANDON
Gyulllllllll Ah hongreeeeeee
SHANIAH
You always hungry eh? Why you don’t
get a coconut to deal with them
worms?
MEDIUM: POV OF BRANDON TALKING TO SHANIAH INTO A MCU RACK
FOCUS OF COCONUT VENDOR IN THE DISTANCE.
Brandon looks into the distance and sees the coconut vendor.
BRANDON
Fuh real!! Granny really say dat in
tru yuh know.
CLOSE UP: COCONUT VENDOR CUTTING COCONUT FOR BOB. LOW ANGLE.
RACK FOCUS OF BRANDON WALKING TOWARDS VENDOR.
Brandon stomach grumbles again.
MEDIUM: BOB’S POV OF BRANDON STOMACH GRUMBLING.
WIDE: OTS OF BRANDON LOOKING AT COCONUT VENDOR AND BOB.
Bob looks at the Coconut vendor and then back at Brandon. He
hands Brandon his coconut.
BOB
Boi! Yuh soundin’ like yuh need dis
more dan me.
BRANDON
Yeah boi, yeah boi. Tanks eh.
MEDIUM: BRANDON’S HAND EATING JELLY THEN TILT UP TO HIS
FACE.

He gulps the water down to get to the jelly. On finishing
the last bit of jelly, he feels no more stomach pain.
BRANDON
Yeah boi Granny really know what
she was talking bout.
MEDIUM:POV OF BRANDON EATING THE JELLY.
QRC clock chimes at 7:00PM.
MEDIUM CLOSE-UP: OTS OF BRANDON LOOKING UP THEN RACK FOCUS
TO CLOCK ON QRC BUILDING.
He gasps.
BRANDON
Oh gooooooosh. Das de time dey?
MEDIUM:VENDOR’S POV LOOKING AT BRANDON RUNNING BACK TO
CLASS.
WIDE: BRANDON RUNNING INTO THE DISTANCE.
Brandon is seen hurrying back to class
