2. WHAT DOES RECYCLING MEAN?

to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the
consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce
air pollution and water pollution.

4. ADVANTATGES AND DISADVANTAGES
ABOUT RECYCLING:
Advantages:
Protecting the renewable and
non-renewable resources.
Preserving the environament.
Reducing contamination.
Making new products.
Saving lifes.
Disadvantages:
They are very expensive.
Lack of market development for
recycled products.
5. WHICH ARE THE DIFFERENT WAYS TO SAVE
ENERGY?
There are some options to save energy:
Turn off the lights when there isn’t anybody in the room.
Use low energy bulbs.
Don’t open the Windows with the heating on.
Wash the dishes by hand.
Fill the washing machine.
Use the computer or mobile phone a little to have fun.
Use solar panels to get energy.
6. HOW DID THEY RECYCLE IN THEIR HOUSES?
They put stuff like glass, paper, card… into the green bin which go to be
recycled.
They have 2 different bins, green for recycling and black for normal rubbish.
In some houses they didn’t recycle, or they only recycled the plastic.
When the bins are filled up, they put them outside the house, and then a
lorry picks up the rubbish’s bags.
And the rubbish goes to the landfills.
7. WHAT DID THEY DO
TO SAVE ENERGY?
In their houses, on the sockets
they’ve got a switch to save
energy. If the switch is turned on,
the electricity is working, and the
electrical appliance could work.
But if the switch is turned off, the
electrical appliance can’t work
because the electricity doesn’t
work.
So when there’s no one in the
room to save energy they turn off
lights.
8. SPAIN VS ENGLAND RECYCLING
SPAIN RECYCLING
In Spain recycling isn’t obligatory.
In Spain we’ve got five different
bins (paper, organic, glass, plastic
and non recycling).
In Spain we go to the town
containers and we put the rubbish
into them.
ENGLAND RECYCLING
In some places in England
recycling is obligatory.
In England in some places they’ve
got until nine different bins. It’s like
a lottery, because the number of
bins depends on the postal code.
They haven’t got town containers,
they’ve got private rubbish
services.
