2. Child mortality facts
 Child mortality or child death, refers the death of infants and children under five
being very tragic and emotional.
 Some 21,000 children die every day around the world. That is equivalent to: 1
child dying every 4 seconds. 14 children dying every minute(globalissues.org).
 Rural areas are more likely to have child deaths than the urban areas.
 Around 70% of early child deaths are due to conditions that could be prevented or
treated with access to simple, affordable interventions.(WHO)
 One third of the child deaths are due to the poor nutrition and non sanitized water.
