The document discusses survey responses to a music video. It indicates that 75% of respondents understood the narrative of the video and its theme of "rags to riches." However, some responses suggested using more low-angle shots to make the characters seem cooler. Most people liked the costumes but thought they could have used more colors and shown the shoes more. While lip-syncing was convincing, performances could have seemed more confident to improve larger parts of the video containing performances.
2. This shows how most people think that our video is “beautiful”
and “very good” this shows that we followed the conventions well
and that “it has a good range of performance and narrative”
which also fits in with Andrew Goodwin's theory by illustrating the
and amplifying the lyrics in the video.
3. The responses received on this question I feel were some of the most
positive responses of which we received. However on of the responses
says “a low angle shot would’ve given it more swag” (swag means that
the person is “gangster” or “cool”) this says to me that although we used
a few low angle shot we should of used it more and emphasized it better.
4. This question shows to me from the final answer that people understand our
rags to riches theme, and that people like narrative as they do not want to
watch loads of performance shots however they still like the way that
performance shots merge in to the narrative.
5. This survey shows to me that at least 75% of people that answered the
questions understand the music video, this is good as it suggests to me
that when me and my group edited the video we did it well and when me
and my group filmed we also done that well. This is a relief as one of the
things I was worried about for the video was the narrative being too
complicated however this shows otherwise.
6. This is good as if the songs rhythm did not match the editing pace then
the video would run the risk of breaking convention and maybe looking
like a poorly made video.
7. This is not the best results as it shows that people are not fully
impressed with the costumes appropriateness.
8. This is good as although the previous question says that 50% of people think that
the costumes in my video are only partly appropriate to the video this shows that
most people like them. But it also shows how it could be improved by using more
colours and showing more of my shoes as the only shot I did of my shoes was the
cheap ones in the busking scene. Where as in the other shots I was wearing Adidas
high tops but they where off screen.
9. Theses are even more good results as it shows that most people where
convinced with our lip syncing how ever we could improve by seeming
confident and not holding back as much on the performance shots to make
it more convincing . Which would be more beneficial as it would improve
the larger part of the video as there is allot of performance shots in my
opinion. But its acceptable as the performance shots are part of the
