Game time is forfeit time – please ensure you have enough rostered
players present prior to the start of your scheduled contest.
Only a team’s captain may confer with the officials.
All players must present their valid Northeastern University issued
Husky Card in order to play.
All roster management is done via the IMLeagues platform.
After the season’s schedule is published, regular season games will
not be rescheduled at a team’s request.
4. Team Registration Scheduling Policies

Games will be played at Carter Field
It is the team manager’s responsibility to create a roster of players that
will be available to play during the posted times for this league.
Teams cannot submit, nor will the intramural program accept, requests to
reschedule regular season games.
Teams may default a match via the default form located on the
Campus Recreation website.

All games are played on Carter Field
Must have valid Northeastern ID to participate – No Exceptions.
GAME PLAY:
Game play is governed by the 'Laws of Cricket,' as developed by the
Marylebone Cricket Club. Rules will resemble Tape-Ball Cricket with the
following modifications:
Players and Equipment:
A team will consist of no more than eight (8) and no fewer than six (6)
players on the playing field at a time.
Equipment - Intramural Sports will provide all equipment for play, including
bats and balls. Players may not use their own bats or balls. Players may wear
their own gloves and protective gear at their own discretion.

Game Length:
Games are 7 overs long with 50 minute time limit.
Playing Field:
The pitch will be setup on Carter Field #1 or Field #2.
All boundaries will be denoted by the Intramural Sports
Supervisor on site and agreed to by both captains prior to the
beginning of the match. The Intramural Sports Supervisor will
make the ultimate and final determination of the boundaries
and any other questions regarding play.

Batting:
2 batters at all times - one at the batting end, the other at the bowling end.
Fielding:
Aside from the bowler and wicket-keeper, fielders position themselves as
they desire.
Tie-Breaking Procedure:
In the event of a tie at the end of regulation, a bowl-out will take place.
Please consult the online rules for Cricket on IMLeagues for all other
modifications.
8. Forfeits Due to Sportsmanship Issues (3 UCs)

Per usual Intramural Sports policy:
Teams that receive more than two unsportsmanlike
penalties (yellow and/or red cards) in one match will
forfeit the match.
Teams that forfeit a match in this manner will
immediately have the remainder of their season
suspended.
Managers from a team in this situation will be contacted
by the Intramural Sports program to discuss the team’s
reinstatement into the league. They will not be able to
resume the season until this meeting is held. Teams with
serious violations of the Intramural Code of
Conduct will not be reinstated.
9. The Captain’s Rule

Only the captain may clarify calls with the officials
If the team has questions or issues, they need to direct them through
the Captain to the officials
Captain may question rule interpretations but not judgment calls
Players who are not the Captain who argue or question the officials will
receive an unsportsmanlike penalty
10. Red Cards

A second yellow card constitutes a red card
One serious violation will result in a red card
Red cards carry an automatic ejection from
the game and the facility
Teams must play short a player for the remainder
of the match
Red cards will be issued for the following
Unsportsmanlike or violent conduct
Spitting
A second yellow card
Using insulting, offensive or abusive language
Leaving the bench area to enter the field
during a fight or altercation
Taunting
11. Ejections in Elite 11v11 League

Ejected players must leave the facility within five
minutes or their team will forfeit
Players who have been ejected must meet with
the Intramural Director or an appointed official
12. The Regular Season & Playoffs

Regular season games will not be rescheduled
Losing By Default:
If a team can not play and contacts the intramural department to indicate this and fills
out the Default Form on the Campus Recreation Website, they will lose by default.
Team will not lose the forfeit bond.
Playoffs:
The top team in each league will advance to the playoffs
If two teams are tied in the standings the following will be used to determine who will
advance:
Sportsmanship
Forfeited games
Head to head record
Point differential
