WITHIN MY ORGANISATION
Challenge Assumptions… rather than assume an
organisation is still performing as people think it always
has, challenge and explore to discover if that is the case.
Assess needs… services often assess the needs of
clients based on a framework and then ‘signpost’ and
label within defined categories, or - as many practitioners
do - tick a box of suitable support networks available. How
about offering a wide range of services to clients and
giving them the choice about which service they think they
could work with to take positive steps to make change?!
Empowerment not decision making!
Building on positive elements… How do you tackle
something that doesn’t exist? i.e. Wealth vs. Poverty… is
poverty just the absence of wealth?
