Nicholas Winton nació en 1909 en Londres. En 1939, organizó la evacuación de más de 669 niños judíos checoslovacos a Gran Bretaña para salvarlos del Holocausto nazi. Aunque mantuvo su hazaña en secreto por 50 años, salvó las vidas de cientos de niños que de otra forma habrían muerto a manos de los nazis.
