2. Can you think of a better way
to enjoy your summer other
than attending a good old
fashioned crawfish boil?
What about a boil in support
of a good cause?
3. Crawfish for Cancer is a 9 city
festival in support of Kahler’s
disease, also referred to as
multiple myeloma cancer
research. This form of cancer
alters the life of nearly
200,000 people per year.
5. Cancer for Crawfish founder,
James Crowell, began the
event in 2008 in honor of his
father who had been fighting
the battle against multiple
myeloma cancer.
Unfortunately, Crowell’s
father passed away in 2014.
6. Since 2009, the festival has
raised enough money to be
able to donate $400,000 to
the Multiple Myeloma
Research Foundation.
7. Crowell hopes to one day be
able to donate $1 million
dollar per event to the
foundation. There is not a
single doubt that he is on his
way to achieving that goal.
9. The price of one ticket will
grant you entry into the
venue, admittance to the open
bar, and the opportunity to
eat as much crawfish as your
stomach can bear.
11. Crawfish for Cancer will visit
a number of cities across the
United States beginning in
May. See below for the cities
