Recipe Cooking Assignment, 3 Tiers
Tier 1
If you cooked, you must serve your creation to a family
member and have them tell you their thoughts about
your food. You must include these comments in your final
writing.
Upon writing your recipe please write a 250 word or more
paragraph about your experience. Include your family
members comments to you (along with their signature for
confirmation of completion of the assignment). How easy
or challenging was it, what you liked or didn’t like, what
you would or would not do differently next time, how the
end product came out.

Tier 2
If you did not cook but chose to watch the
video, you must write a 500 word essay about
the video. Write down all ingredients and
measurements used along with directions to
make the dish. Finally add your own thoughts,
what do you think of the recipe; do you think it
looks delicious, easy or difficult to make, etc.

If you are unable to cook or watch the video, you
must read the recipe and write a 900 word essay
about it. What is the main ingredient? How do you
know it’s the main ingredient? How is the main

What kind of methods are used to prepare the dish?
Does it sound interesting? Why or why not?
