Since opening on the 26th of May 1994, Night Safari Singapore has become a very popular tourist attraction, with
the status of being the world’s first nocturnal zoo. Under the moonlight, you are able to catch a tram and go for a
ride through the safari and there are heaps of things to see. These tram rides take you through different
geographical regions with otters, lions, rhinos, hyenas and bears as among some of the many species of animals
hosted in this night zoo. You can also walk through a rainforest and watch one of the scheduled shows provided
for your entertainment. There is also a place to stop and pick up a few souvenirs for our friends who couldn’t
make it. The Night Safari Singapore is a good experience for the whole family, and walking around in the dark
makes it an interesting adventure.

ARCHIVES
If you’re a bit of a movie buff, Universal Studios Singapore might be the place for you. There are seven themed Select Month
zones that you can experience, including, Hollywood, New York, The Lost World and Far Far Away (from the
movie Shrek). Each of these zones have unique characteristics that will captivate you. Whether you’re taking a
seat at a show, or hopping in a line for a ride, there is always something to look at. Various retail outlets are
provided, offering things like candy, celebrity collectibles, souvenirs and official merchandise. And if you need a
break from all the fun you’ve been having, a range of food courts are there for you to recharge your energy.
These food courts fit in with the themed zone they are located in, adding to the fun movie magic feel. Your
favourite movies come to life in this entertainment experience and it will leave you amazed. There is
something for the each member of the family, and it’s a good place to spend the day together.
3. B ugis Stre e t
After you’ve had fun together at Universal Studios, why not spend an afternoon shopping at Bugis Street? This
street is a maze of alleys and side lanes, packed with stalls selling a variety of items at reasonable prizes. You
can also make your way to Victoria and Albert Streets, where you will find more opportunities for a bargain.
Clothing stalls and accessories stalls are among the most popular stalls, especially among the younger
generation, however, there are also shops to pick up something for lunch or as a snack. Look out for the fruit
juice stand at the entrance to Bugis Street! A drink would most likely help you on your journey through this
shopping utopia. There are also shops specifically selling men’s clothing and accessories, as well as shops
selling random trinkets. The amount of things to see is great, and you’re sure to pick up a bargain or two. And
when you’re finished, end your trip with a stop at the Bugis Café to fill you up before you go home. (SF)
