2. OUR OBJECTIVE
This 2015 we've decided to go on a gap year. It’s
going to be in summer, because we all have
holidays and we want to spend that time on
volunteering abroad. We think that helping people
in a undeveloped country is essential for them and
very rewarding for us. After thinking about many
possibilities, we've finally chosen to work as a care
volunteer in Kenya, concretely in kindergartens.
The reason for this decision is that children are the
most harmed in disadvantaged communities like
this, without a proper education system, with
poverty and social problems. Kindergartens in
Kenya play a big role due to the fact that they
provide food to children and a safe environment
to learn in.

4. THE PLACE
We've decided to work in Nakuru, which is the
capital of Nakuru County in Kenya and former
capital of the Rift Valley Province.
Kenya is a country that has drawn our
attention, because we saw a very attractive
advertisement of voluntary work and it is a
place where we can work in a comfortable
and sure way.
5. Is is a charming country in the East of the African
continent, which includes both sides of the
equator. His incredible biodiversity in flora and
fauna, his landscapes and his culture make of this
country a great destination to do voluntary work.
It is recognized by its important national parks,
such as National Park Nakuru, his leafy forests,
beautiful mountains and tribal cultures.
After Kenya gained its independence from Britain
in 1963 , the country has become a dominant
economy in the Horn of Africa, it is a country full of
hope and development opportunities.
6. THINGS TO DO
What we are going to do there and the role we
are going to have as a volunteer is first of all,
working with kids, with different age of kids.
With babies
With young children
With teenagers
7. Whatever project you apply for in kenya ,
you have to be ready for a challenge , a
lot of kids don’t have daily routine and
what we do is a schedule activities
everyday.
In some locations there are children who
have psychological or physical problems
and they need a lot of special care with
their daily routine.
8. Doing a volunteer is such a feeling of satisfaction
and you should do it once in your life.
