STADION MANAHAN, SOLO

Stadion Manahan adalah nama sebuah stadion
yang berada di kota Solo, Jawa Tengah. Sejak
diresmikan oleh Presiden Soeharto pada tahun
1998 lalu, stadion Manahan kini telah menapaki
usianya yang ke-15 tahun.

Stadion Manahan terletak di jalan Adi Sucipto.
Nama Manahan sendiri diambil dari nama sebuah
kelurahan yang berada di kecamatan Banjarsari,
Surakarta

Stadion Manahan Surakar ta adalah per sembahan dari
yayasan Ibu Tien Soehar to. Pembangunannya dimulai
sejak tahun 1989 dengan menggunakan luas areal lahan
sebesar 170.000 m2 dan luas bangunan 33.300 m2.
Butuh waktu 9 tahun lamanya untuk mengubah sebuah
lahan kosong menjadi bangunan kokoh stadion Manahan.

Dan tepat pada hari Sabtu tanggal 21 Februari 1998,
akhirnya stadion Manahan diresmikan oleh Presiden
Republik Indonesia, Soehar to. Dalam pengelolaan
stadion Manahan, pemerintah kota Surakar ta
menyerahkannya kepada Yayasan Gelora Surakar ta.

Banyak sekali event olah raga yang pernah digelar
di Stadion Manahan Solo, salah satunya ASEAN
Paragames 2011

Kapasitas di tribun stadion Manahan mampu
menampung jumlah penonton hingga mencapai
35.000 orang. Stadion Manahan juga telah
dilengkapi dengan empat menara lampu untuk
kegiatan olah raga pada malam hari.
